Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Serum

First, about my skin: I have combination oily skin with a few dry areas and occasionally get breakouts around my chin. I don’t have noticeable wrinkles yet at 27, but I have a few crinkles around my eyes.

I know, at the age of 27 I am surprised too that this is the first time I have used a serum in my skincare routine. Usually I have used a facial oil but have realised that with my tendency for oily patches that an oil close a bit heavy for me to be using daily.

So using the Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24h Serum has had a surprising effect (in a good way) on my skin. I would definitely say my skin feels more bouncy and smooth (especially when used alongside the moisturiser in the same collection).

The serum is very lightweight although the white colouring of the formula reminded me of some other bodily fluids…..

The packaging is mixed reviews for me. I like the fact that it’s a in a glass jar but the plastic pump lid that screws open is not my favourite to use. I do wonder if I’ll be able to get all the product out of the jar when it’s close to finished. This is the only thing holding me back from a full 5 stars for using again. (Aesthetic preference).

I will definitely still continue to use this product until it’s finished but I might look into other serums in the market to look at the functionality of their droppers etc.

I really love using the Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Serum, it soaks into my skin beautifully and my skin instantly feels smoother and more plump. It has a nice consistency, not too thick and not too runny and I like that it’s fragrance free because sometimes I get sensitive eyes/skin and don’t like strong perfume smells in skin care. My skin is definitely more “bouncy” and I’ve had several compliments saying how young, plump and smooth my skin looks! A really nice serum that does what it says it will do. I like it!

The design of the packaging bottle of this serum is just like the Olay Regenerest retinol 24 night serum which comes in a blue bottle with a silver screw lid. This serum comes in a red one with silver screw lid. The lids have pump part that pops up as you unscrew the lid. You push the pump on the top of the lid and it sucks up the serum you then take the lid out of the bottle and the tube which is attached has serum loaded into it like a dropper. To disperse the serum onto the skin you push the pump. The silver lid looks metal but it's just plastic and the bottle is glass. The serum is white and feels like to spreads quite easily on the face it didn't feel sticky. I'm not sure about the pump design because It seems like when your using the air it is sucking air which I'm not sure comes from being already in the bottle or if it is sucking in air from outside the bottle potentially contaminating & causing the product to deteriorate? I also felt like when I pumped to suck up the product it was unpredictable how much you had in the tube there fore how much would be dispersed out. As for the serum itself, I think this serum went fine under make up. Usually when I stop using my holy grail anti wrinkle serum frown lines on my head and between my eye brows are quick to reappear but with this serum so far they have not come back strongly which has made me like the serum. The box it came in says skin instantly plumps firms & smoothens fine lines, hydrates for 24hours & improves skin bounciness. This is only up to the epidermis layer of the skin. The issue here is the collagen peptides niacinamide etc don't penetrate past the top of the skin so it doesn't work on nourishing the younger skin it just appears to help the already shedding surface skin. I had already heard to be weary of collagen products in skin care as the particles are too large and just sit on the very top of the skin. Ideally you want to nourish from with in not just the top and penetrate deeper skin layers. Even so, I tested this product at a very stressful time in my life and am content with the results I really thought my skin was going to look bad after the few weeks of using but it doesn't. I did notice one of the first ingredients in this is diamenticone which is in hair conditioner its like a lubricant & gives a silky feeling but it isn't ideal in the long run Its basically silicone I think it could clogg pores as silicone and diamenticone don't fully wash off with out soap and even then can still leave a coating which can prevent other products from absorbing into the skin or hair. Aside from this I like this product but am sceptical of using it long term. It is free from parabens phthalates mineral oil and is 30ml.

I enjoyed using this serum. It's light and non-greasy and absorbs really quickly into the skin leaving a fresh, smooth feeling. After using the product morning and night for 3 weeks I noticed my skin's texture had improved - my face was noticeably softer and smoother. I didn't notice much difference in my fine lines (the product claims to smooth these) but overall my skin definitely felt more hydrated and much softer. The pump is a really great feature of the packaging making it simple to get just the right amount of serum with no mess or waste. Having the correct 'dosage' collected as you screw off the lid is a little stroke of genius. I also like that the serum comes in a glass bottle - there's just something about glass that makes it feel more luxurious (and of course, it's not plastic, so that's a huge plus as far as being environmentally friendly goes!). All in all, this was a nice serum that gave my skin a little pick-me-up. I'm happy to add this to my beauty routine.

I started using serum 6months ago and this is the first time I’ve tried one with Niacinamide I found it worked well with my skin. Small amount goes far, it absorbs fast and putting on at night helped the product last. Fragrance free great for sensitive skin. Easy to source online and reasonable price. I would continue to buy and use this product.

This serum comes in a long slim bottle, very elegant, bold colours that are pleasing to the eye and give off a professional statement. To use you can twist the lid off that has a drip attachment on one end and on the top of lid is a button to press to squirt serum liquid out. 2 squirts of serum is enough for a all over face and neck coverage that will last all day (12 hours). The consistency of the serum itself is thin and liquidy, non fragrant, slightly oily but very easy to apply, giving off a delicate and smooth consistency that gives skin a beautifully glowing and radiant finish and also over time I think it seems to tighten and make skin look fresh and healthy, plus giving it a sun kissed glow. I personally think price has no match, if a product can do what it says it will then it’s definitely worth every penny and to me I have had noticeable results in the last 2 weeks of using this product and I will continue to use. Overall skin has become more radiant and tighter, glowing and has completely rid all signs of imperfections and sun damage, definitely happy and a trusted brand that I know all ages to use

Thank you so much BR for the opportunity to trial this awesome serum and the matching moisturiser! I've been looking for a nice light, water-based serum to use in the morning to give a boost of moisture and this ticks all the boxes.

I've been using this after toner and before applying sunscreen in the morning. The bottle is very fancy with a sort of push button on the cap that squeezes out some of the serum from a dropper. I find that a whole push/pump is too much and half is the perfect amount for my face and neck. The serum is very light but not runny. It's easy to pat into my skin and absorbs within about 10 seconds. It's great that it's matte and dry to the touch once it's absorbed as I had been worried it would leave shine or sticky residue. It also means I don't have to flaff around waiting for this to dry before applying sunscreen.

So far this has stood up to the harsh winter mornings well, and I haven't felt the need to layer on another cream based moisturiser after this. I am quite surprised by how quickly it gets used though, in under 3 weeks a quarter of the bottle is gone already. In terms of value I think the moisturiser is better than the serum, but this one's really good if you want a light moisture boost that can dry quickly and be layered under another moisturiser.

I loved the sound of this serum, especially since it contained my favourite ingredient - Niacinamide! I have been trying this morning and night for 3 weeks. I love that it is fragrance free especially since my skin is sensitive to fragrance and the packaging is neat and allows for you to control the amount of product you use. I would have liked for the ingredients and percentages to be labelled on the packaging.

It felt nice on the skin and didn't leave any sticky residue. Makeup went on overtop nicely and I didn't have any issues. For the first few days I just used this serum and stopped using my usual products but I just found I wasn't getting enough hydration and my skin started feeling dry. As soon as I added in my other products my skin went back to normal. I just didn't feel I was getting enough hydration from this product.

After 3 weeks of use, I don't really feel like there is any difference to my skin which has surprised me given the ingredients and didn't feel like I was getting enough hydration. I don't think I would repurchase this product.
