I bought this product hoping it would work really good as it's claiming to be an advanced anti-aging treatment but to be honest I would say it's more just a hydrating serum. I didn't see any improvements when it comes to reducing fine lines or wrinkles. It did somehow help my skin in getting rid of the dryness in some areas.

Reviews
I have been using this product in conjunction with the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Face Cream in the mornings and before bed for three weeks.
The product comes in a very posh looking red bottle (to match the high price!). The best thing about the bottle is probably the most innovative design in packaging I have seen in a while - a clever auto-dropper (when you open the lid it loads the applicator with product) that ensures the exact right amount of product. I initially started out using two pumps, but am more comfortable using just one now.
The product absorbs well and does not leave any stickiness. It does have quite a chemically smell that I didn't like, but it doesn't linger.
It makes some big claims about what it can do - visibly reduce fine lines, pores, and firm the skin. It may be that I need to use it for longer than three weeks but I don't think the product lives up to those claims. But it did leave my skin feeling hydrated and it helped the moisturiser go on more smoothly. So I won't be using it with expectations of knocking years of aging off my face but will continue using it as a primer that prepares skin for moisturising.
Tips: Only use one pump. And avoid your lips - it tastes gross!
I am always up for trying new products to search out the best products or my skin. The benefits listed tick all the boxes and after two weeks these still need to come to light for me. I hope over longer use my skin will improve.
I love the scent and the feel of this serum. A cool gel, my skin does feel plump and refreshed shortly after using it. I did break out when I started using this product and I personally find the recommendation to use two pumps of the serum per use is excessive, and one is sufficient for my face and neck, also the dispenser is a bit fidgety to need to pump the second time. As an indication, after using the product for just under two weeks, using two pumps of the dispenser, I have used half the bottle.
Will keep with the regime, and see what results are to come!
Tips: Serum soaks in feels great applied on warm skin - after a shower or a cleansed face.
So I've been using this product for a couple of weeks now and to be honest with you I am still a little undecided on its effectiveness with its claims of boosting skin renewal and looking up to 10 years younger. The one thing that I LOVE about this product is its applicator/lid and the way it draws up the right amount of product, just by a twist of the cap. And to disperse it, just press the top of the lid!!! It's going to save on wastage and ensure that you aren't going to use too much - because to be honest you don't really need a lot. I have only just managed to use about a quarter of the bottle since the trial began. Let's get onto the product itself. To me it didn't really have a scent, however at times when applying it to my skin (now this is going to sound super weird and I don't know if it's just me) it smelt a little bit like the smell you get on your fingers after cutting onions (told you it would sound weird). It didn't happen all the time, but yeah, sometimes it just smelt like onions. I found it quick absorbing into my skin, which is good when you're short on time, however (and again I don't know if this is just me) it did feel a bit "drying" on the skin, which isn't ideal in winter (I typically have oily t-zoned skin as well). In the 3 or so weeks I have been using this product, I don't think it did too much in aiding in the minimising of fine lines and wrinkles - the only real wrinkle I have is by my right eyebrow...and it's still noticeable, mainly when I wear foundation though. I did however notice that my skin texture itself and the way it looks without make up has improved and my skin is looking a lot brighter.
Apparently it takes 4 weeks to see a result so maybe my opinion of this will change in a couple of weeks time, but as the title of my review says, I am a little bit on the fence as to whether the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence will continue to be in my beauty regime once the product has all gone
Tips: Just use the amount of product that comes out from the twist of the lid. It's all you're going to need!
Packaging: The first impression of the product was that the packaging was very attractive. The pump mechanism was intriguing but very quickly became the bane of my life. The product says to use two pumps of the product but the process of having to screw the lid on tight to load every dose quickly became tedious especially in the morning where as a busy mum multitasking is a must. So that was a negative in my view.
Product: The actual product smelt really nice, almost like shampoo so it was a familiar smell and not overpowering which is essential as I can be sensitive to perfumes and I don't know which until I've got it on. Not helpful if this is a product right under your nose. The feel of the product is good, initially when it touched my hands I thought it was going to be sticky but it goes on smoothly and absorbs really quickly. You would soon forget you have it on if your skin didn't feel so refreshed.
Results: I didn't notice a lot of plumping of the skin, I'm going with the fact that maybe I just didn't need it haha but I doubt that is true. I didn't notice any earth shattering results nor did everyone suddenly tell me I was looking radiant. What I did notice though is that a patch of eczema around my mouth that I had been battling with has healed. So I think its claim to renew cells definitely proved true.
Conclusion: I didn't see any real line or plumping improvement but I definitely felt skin renewal. I would use it again just for that! Maybe it will prevent the wrinkles from appearing.
This serum is step two of a four step regimen however they don't all need to be used together. The claims on the box say it boosts skin renewal, reduces wrinkles and firms. The packaging of this product is lovely, it's an elegant red bottle with a pump in the lid that ensures you dont end up using too much. It has a slight scent and is a clear liquid with a light texture. I started off using this as instructed which was to use twice a day after cleansing and before moisturiser. After a few days I found it a bit much so reduced it down to just using in the morning. This product feels divine going on the skin, it absorbs super fast and is easy to rub in. It left my skin feeling so smooth. In the short time I have been using it I don't think it reduced any wrinkles as stated but my face does feel softer and looks brighter. This is one of the lightest, most gentle serum type products I have used that doesn't leave the skin feeling clogged.
Tips: If your skin can't handle a lot of product you could just use this serum on its own without following with the moisturiser
I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence and Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream. I have normal skin with a few mid-30’s wrinkles around my eyes and on my forehead, and I’m usually a little neglectful of a proper skin care regime as I’ve taken it for granted enjoying pretty good skin condition so far. However I have been looking for an affordable and effective skin care products to slow the signs of ageing I’m starting to see, and keep my skin in the good condition it’s currntly in, and that I can enjoy using. I think I’ve found this in these products. Firstly they’re affordable and accessible, being found in supermarkets. They both have a lovely fragrance which is important to me - I want to enjoy using the products! And most importantly, they have delivered effective results for me over the last few weeks. I can see my skin is smoother, brighter, and more even. The Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence claims to renew cells, visibly reduce wrinkles, and firm skin. My skin definitely looks fresher, wrinkles appear to be minimised and fewer, and even though I’ve suffered from a lack of sleep over these last few weeks no one has said I look worse for it, so perhaps these products are compensating for my lack of sleep and keeping me looking great! In terms of the use of the products, I loved the texture of the essence, you only need one dropper “squirt” not the recommended two, and it absorbed in nicely. I noticed a bit of residue for the first few days but this went away, just make sure you don’t use too much, and allow it time to absorb before putting on the microsculpting cream. I love the bottle. I initially thought the dropper was a bit gimmicky but it’s actually really well designed and the packaging looks modern and sleek. I did have some small breakout initially and I don't know which product caused it, it may have been the combo of using such rich products after not having used anything near as creamy for a while. This breakouts last less than a week though and my skin after the few weeks’ use is spot-free. I used a new foundation during this trial which combined with winter temperature changed dried my skin out, but after using these Olay products the dryness went away within a day. A little goes a long way with these products and that make them even more appealing, they’re definitely a worthwhile investment at a great price, and while I don’t think Ive had ten years knocked off the appearance of my skin, I’m sure with more use the benefits I’ve seen to date will only continue to grow. Definitely enjoy using the product and would buy again. I'm interesting in seeing the review of the other product in the line to see if I'm missing anything!
Tips: Ignore the recommended two pumps on the box - one is DEFINITELY enough!
I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial this product. I am 38, with dry skin, and fine lines on my forehead. I have been using this for approximately 3 weeks: once a day at night-time. This "pre-essence" reminds me a lot of The Ordinary's Skin Buffet serum. It is similar in texture, weight, colour and application. I think it would suit people who are used to layering skincare products.
The packaging and design of the product is eye-catching and clever. It comes in a red and silver box with a picture of the product on the front. The bottle is 40ml, which is a decent amount. After 3 weeks I have used a third of the bottle at 2 drops a day. The bottle itself is red with a shiny silver lid. It has an innovative pump design to gather the serum into the stopper. The instructions say to unscrew the cap to draw the product into the dropper, and then if you press the big silver button on the lid it releases the product. It is pretty easy to use and makes using the dropper applicator simple. You can cover your face with 1 - 2 drops.
I did not really notice a huge difference, after three weeks of use, to my skin. I only used it in the evening as I did not want to use heavy skincare in the daytime. So it is hard to tell if my skin is better for using this, but it is definitely not worse. I think if you are looking for a serum along the lines of international brands that you can buy locally, then this is worth a look.
I was super happy to receive this to trial as I'd been looking for a new serum for a while. It comes in a really pretty box thats red, love it already!
When I took it out of the box, I had a huge amount of trouble figuring out how to open it? I almost gave up as I was scared of breaking it trying to pull the lid off. It turns out you twist once to release the pump, then twist again to remove the top and reveal a dropper.....ahhhhhh!!! The 'how to' recommended 2 pumps per use, so of course I read that as meaning 2 dropper fills, waayy too much so realised that mustve meant 2 pumps on the lid (I felt really dumb). For the first week I used as directed but it just seemed way too much so for the remainder of my 3 week trial I used one, much better and still some to spare.
It felt really lovely and cool on my skin and absorbed almost immediately, I guess my skin was pretty dehydrated. It didnt feel sticky or tacky and I found if I used it in conjunction with a moisteriser I didnt really need to use a primer under my foundation, nice!
I cant say I've noticed the lines dissapear on my face but it has definately hydrated and brightened up my skin and reduced some of the dry flaky aread around my nose (hate those). I think its a light serum and I used it morning and night as directed to get the maximum benefit. I think I'd be quite happy to carry on with this serum. The price its pretty reasonable compared to other brands and I would imagine it could last maybe 4-6 months if you only used 1 pump instead of two?
Tips: A masters degree in physics may help you figure out how to get the lid off!
I’m Not a huge fan of serums and what they are supposed to achieve ,but stayed open minded with this one . Attractive bottle and interesting way to apply this product .,at first I found it a bit tricky but soon got the hang of it . Again had a pleasant aroma and initially felt a bit sticky but after applying had a nice cooling effect on my skin ..
I can’t really say I’ve noticed any difference with my skin using this ,so for me it’s not something I would purchase ,it just doesn’t deliver for me or live up to the advertising . If only It did .
Tips: Use sparingly ,as not a lot is needed to cover the facial areas .
