I tried a few BB creams when they first became a thing here in NZ, and to be honest they didn't do a lot for me. Often the colour was off or the coverage wasn't enough for my pimple and acne-prone skin. This was a surprising find.
I really like the packaging, it feels pretty luxurious and looks nice on my counter. The pump is a great touch as I hate the idea of putting my fingers in product repeatedly. That being said my only gripe is with the pump as I can never get the right amount on my hand. It's either too little, then the next pump provides too much, or it's too much. I'm not a fan of the wastage that goes on. The actual BB cream though? Big fan.
It's a thick consistency, and I like the scent. It's not too strong but has a delicate perfume to it. The colour is spot-on for my light/medium skin tone, and it blends effortlessly. Best of all I can see a difference. It minimises my pores and almost gives a blurring effect to my skin. It makes me think of a cross between a blurring primer and a foundation. While it's not so good on my bad skin days, on the days when acne isn't flaming up on my cheeks it's a really nice and lightweight product that gives a natural fresh look to my skin.
Would repurchase and recommend to friends with dry/combo skin like mine. (Not sure how it would go on oily skin as it does feel very moisturising).
This is a hefty bottle in diameter & kind of eye catching. I've had this for a whole sitting in my drawer and have used it a number of times but not daily. Comes with a pulp dipenser that doesn't suit the product erraticaly everywhere but more dispenses like toothpaste. The shade is said to suit all skin tones & I can agree. I've used it in spring & summer when my skin tones are two different shades. In winter I'm a medium skint one with a neutral undertone & summer I'm a tanned skint one with a golden neutral undertone. It has a good consistency not too thick not to liquidity almost perfect, with this consistency it's easy to apply both with makeup tools such as a kabuki brush or beauty blender or hands. I've used all three ways & found it to give good performance but my preference has been applying with my hands. It smoothly blends out, as a moisterizer would & leaves my skin looking radiant & evens my skin tone & imperfections on occasions I feel no need to add any concealer to cover any of my imperfections because the effect it gives a natural almost flawless look. In saying that I've done a full face as well with primer under neath & my powder blush bronzer's & highlighters all sit well on top of this product. I did notice some appearance of age defying but that was only temporary. As soon as I removed the product I wasn't left without wrinkles or the like. So it's not a serum miracle woke more of a cover up that can give the effect of natural glow & beauty. I wouldn't think this would suit everyone especially if you're of darker skintone but perhaps it could be used as a primer since I found my makeup sat well on top of it. This isn't heavy or slippery but does transfer even when I've set my face with powder & setting spray. So it's great for day time use when running errands or just around the house. Id you're looking for full coverage this isn't the choice for you. In all this isn't disappointing & for a supermarket drugstore brand it's affordable for this size. There are other brands that have better but either come smaller in tube's the pump is definitely a winning factor coupled with a lid.
