Olay Ultimate Eye Cream Review

I’ve been using this product for about 6 days now and I’m really enjoying its ‘instant fix’ results in terms of helping to mask dark circles, fine lines & puffiness. However, I have to agree below with Catherinetiatoa’s review that it does appear to be a temporary solution to these skin issues, not a long-term one. I personally have not noticed with a week of use that it has any longer-lasting effects on those problem areas whatsoever. HOWEVER, as a temporary fix, it does an incredible job!! It does indeed lighten the skin directly under my eyes and hence help to kill off the appearance of those ugly dark circles. But, perhaps even more importantly for me as a 42-year-old (!), I’ve noticed it’s extremely good at covering up those pesky fine lines under my eyes. I was reasonably surprised when I first starting using it as it creates quite a noticeable difference, which is why I’d buy this product again. Instant results, but defintely not a permanent fix, and as long as you’re not expecting a permanent fix, then this product won’t disappoint. It absolutely does help to mask those specific problem areas. And I find it does help to minimise the look of puffiness too. It won’t completely mask those issues, but it does go a long way towards helping to minimise them. It seems to just melt into my skin when I apply it, it looks even and matches my skin tone really well. It also has a lovely hydrating feel (which is what it says on the product specs), and then makes the eye area appear lighter and a bit more youthful. So in that respect it’s definitely worth using in my eyes (excuse the pun!)...

I apply it after I put on my usual daily moisturiser and primer and prior to applying my usual foundation.

I like that this eye cream is quite hydrating without being too heavy for my undereye area. Even though that tint of colour is not particularly noticeable, the product is overall effective. My dark circles have faded noticeably however it has not reduced any puffiness for me. I think more long-term use may help?

The texture is very luxurious and soaks into my skin well. But given the price tag, I feel like there are equally good alternatives in the market.

I've been really impressed with this product! I've never really been one to use an eye cream, but I'm a convert after using the Ultimate Eye Cream morning and night for a week so far. The dark circles under my eyes have lightened considerably, and the skin looks, and feels, smooth and soft. I also feel as though my eyelids, which are quite hooded, have tightened up slightly (enough to be visually noticeable). I would recommend this to anybody.

When I first received the Olay Ultimate Eye Cream in its box and took it out, I thought how small the little jar was. After using this cream for a while now, I have used very little as a little certainly goes a long way.

I have used this cream morning and night around my eye area and the instructions said that it can be used on my eyelids which I have never dreamt of using cream on before. I've had a tiny bruise on one of my eyelids and this cream took away the mark.

The cream is very smooth and feels gorgeous when dry especially under the eye area as I feel it when rubbing my eyes. I have also used a little on my cheeks as they become quite red and inflamed when I've washed my face. I have noticed a difference after using this cream and it's more like a concealer and I haven't had to use a thicker foundation on my cheeks at all.

The puffiness under my eyes is not as noticeable, but wrinkles still need to be minimised on my face so will keep on using this especially on the outer corners of the eyes.

The Olay Ultimate Eye Cream lasts all day and I'd certainly love to keep this in my make up drawer. Will keep on using.

It isn’t hard to see why I use eye creams. I work 10 hours a day and a lot of it is at a computer. So when this little cream turned up I was excited to try it out. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the packaging is. Simple and classy. The cream doesn’t have a strong scent and was easily absorbed into my skin. The texture is like silk and not too heavy. I noticed a difference in the brightness of the skin within 7 days and then the reduction fine lines after 10 days. I was very impressed. Because I already use Olay, the eye cream slotted into my skincare regime nicely. I feel like it would slot into any skincare regime though it was just that nice!

I'd start off by saying that this is definitely no way a concealer. It does appear to have colour in the container but when you start applying it under your eyes, there is barely any coverage so I wouldn't be put off if you have darker or lighter skin as this basically blends into nothing. However in saying that I really really do like this! It was surprising because I didn't expect it to do so well for my dark circles. I have the worst dark circles and after using it for a week I've definitely seen some slight improvements so I can only imagine that it'll keep improving my dark under eyes. There isn't any scent to it which is nice and the formula itself is super light and doesn't feel too heavy seeing as it is a cream. Feels somewhat like a moisturiser in a way and blends just as well. The only issue I had with this is that if you don't let it dry and set properly before applying other products it will look incredibly patchy. The products you apply on top just won't adhere to where you've applied the eye cream which is slightly annoying. Other than that, this is amazing especially for the results!

From the moment I spied the pale pink cream I fell in love. Not only was it a delicate pink ,the cream was equally as delicate on my eyes. I was a bit fearful to use it as in the past I found eye creams to be heavy and produce milia on my skin but I have used this morning and night with no adverse effects. Its too soon to say its made a dramatic difference but I have certainly noticed my eye area is plumper with lines not so deeply etched. I will continue to buy this cream.

The packing was basic and gave clear directions on how to use. You knew what you were getting. The cream felt lovely rubbing in, soaked in quickly, wasn’t sticky and didn’t leave a residue. When I seen that it was brown I was curious to see if it would leave a colour trace so tried on a piece of tissue and it didn't. Only need a small amount that goes far so even though it’s only in 15ml it should last ages. I felt it helped with puffiness in the mornings and my skin definitely felt smoother but would need to use for Longer to judge effect on wrinkles. Reasonably priced for an eye cream I would buy again

I have been using Olay Eyes for two weeks, and I am amazed on how it reduce the puffiness of my eyes in the morning, now I can go to work everyday with confidence. I am very satisfied with the product, and I will definitely use it again in the future.

Olay ultimate eye cream:

I usually don’t have eye cream in my normal skin care routine, but have been thinking about whether I need to add it, as I have been seeing some dark circles and bags appear more regularly! I have under eye bags and some dark circles. I haven’t used many eye creams in the past, only one or two so don’t have a lot to compare this with. To start, I didn’t particularly like the packaging personally- the product is a wee jar that’s clear on the bottom and a mirrored silver look for the lid and it’s inside a see-through box with the same mirrored silver backing inside. I found it hard to read the writing on the back- due to the clear box and mirrored silver combo, and personally felt that they clashed and I didn’t like the reflective-ness of the silver stuff. The packaging of the actual product was a bit better- the bottom looks like glass but doesn’t have the weight of it so feels a bit cheap. The lid is the same mirrored silver as the box which I didn’t like, as I felt it looked cheap as well. The actual product is the colour of a concealer, to counteract the dark circles. I didn’t particularly find that this concealed much of my under eye circles, although it did brighten a bit which I like. The consistency was good- a bit thicker than the other eye creams I have used but spread really easily. I don’t have any wrinkles (yet haha) so can’t comment on that effect. There was no particular smell, kind of neutral and just smelt like a cream with a subtle scent, which I didn’t mind too much. Overall, for an eye cream I thought this was average. Over the weeks that I’ve trialled this, i don’t think I have seen much change in the appearance of my under eye circles or bags. However I did like the brightening effect of my under eyes. I don’t think I would repurchase this, although I haven’t tried many eye creams to compare to!
