Olay Ultimate Eye Cream Review

The Olay Ultimate Eye Cream turned up in my bathroom on a day that had involved a lot of crying, so the need to restore my poor under eye bag and dark sag was high. The packaging is very Olay, with all the superlatives of what the product may do, ingredients, showcasing the pottle. I note here the use of excess plastic to hold the pottle in place and suggest they look at cardboard alternatives. The eye cream pottle is a glass 15ml, showing the beige cream inside, directions on the back. The cream itself has a beauty feel, very silky, glides on easily, and leaves a velvety feeling once absorbed with a light, unobtrusive scent. The skin instantly felt refreshed, like a soothing balm. I applied this morning and night every day for 10 days, and after a few days I almost longed for the feeling the cream gave my eyes. The tear-induced bags weren't even noticable, the dark circles didn't seem as deep. Having tried various eye creams over the years, this is the first one I feel I'll continue to keep using, as I loved the texture, had no reactions, and I actually felt there was a noticable difference especially given the tear-pressure they were under.

This is the silkiest, most delicious feeling eye cream I have ever used. After using this I definitely noticed that my eye area was looking much smoother and brighter. Though honestly, with how lovely it feels I'd still keep using it even if it did very little!

I was a bit concerned with how small it was but you really don't need much so the pot should last quite a while. I'd say you because of this it is great value for money when compared to other eye creams available out there.

I love that it has a slight tinge to it so it can be used as a bit of a concealer - I don't normally use concealer 'cause I'm lazy!!

Well i have to admit I was skeptical at first but this cream actually did what it said it would, I look more rested with less darkness around my eyes, like I've been on holiday. with my sensitive skin 9/10 creams react but this didnt, I'm in love with this eye cream and starting to feel a little depressed at the sight of the half empty jar.

I'm loving this Olay Ultimate Eye Cream, its a lightweight, non-oily, luxurious feeling product. I've found it lovely to use, easy to apply & only a light touch is needed to your delicate eye area. Its soothing & I have noticed a brightening around my eye are & lines are definatley lessened as well, Yay!!! The cream it tinted not white like most eye creams which is different & has no fragance. Ive been using this lovely eye cream for 3 weeks, using it day & night I havent used much, I think it will last 2-3 months. Retailing around $50 and being an economical product I think its fair priced for the results Ive been seeing a a short time. I really like that I dont feel any tightening after applying it, especially at night after taking off my makeup. I am no keen now to try the rest of this range from Olay to see what its like and if the eye cream is anything to go off I bet they're awesome. Packaging was nice, the clear box is great I liked seeing the size of the cream straight away. The good & black is styley. It was easy to read & understand the information & directions. I have told a few clients at work how lovely it is when we've been chatting about skincare products & how much I like it.

When I first saw this, I was a bit alarmed at the colour, it is a nice shade of Trump, however, first impressions can be deceiving, and this Ultimate Eye cream has proved me wrong! Packaging wise, this is a nice sturdy glass jar, that looks great by the bedside, and the lid is shiny, smooth and contoured. OK, so the shade of the cream, I had visions of applying clown makeup, the colour is a strong peach, and looks very opaque, (I'm super pale so I freaked out a bit), this is where I was Wrong!. The colour for me, does not seem to transfer to the eye area as I thought it would, it melts into the skin, and is luxurious and lightweight in texture. No greasy after feel, and no smell that I could observe. I didn't notice a slight concealer effect though. I use this before my primer in the morning, it is a sooo nice to use, that I don't just use it for the eye area, this is quite the all-rounder of a product! Super hydrating for dry overly air conditioned office cheeks. I cannot say I noticed a difference on the first application, but I have been using this religiously ever since I received it, and will continue to do so, I can say, I will be repurchasing this one! My undereyes don't yet resemble a abstract expressionist painting but they show some unwanted workings so I was keen to try Olay Ultimate Eye Cream.

I am now almost pop art smooth, with hardly a wrinkle or line in sight.

This Olay Cream has the consistency and colour of concealer. It contains peptides and Vitamin B3, and had a light innocuous fragrance. It is housed in a sleek translucent pot, with a asymmetrical silver lid.

It is not pigmented enough to use as cover alone 80% of time but this may change with use. It does not claim to work as a concealer, but it does an okay job. More brightening than concealing.

There is no applicator- it is just a little pot like a lip balm. I would prefer a pump or squeeze tube, for hygiene purposes. However, as it is used post-cleanse then hands should be clean anyhow.

Pricewise, it is definitely not a 'chuck in the basket' casual buy. The rrp of $48.99 is slightly eyewatering. However, considering the quality and quantity, it is good value for money.

Luckily I don't have complete dark undereyes, I have reverse window-wipers. However, like two purplish wings, I wished them to fly away. This product diminished these dark demons, and lightened the area.

I applied this at night, after cleansing, and in the morning, post-cleanse. Like concealers, you only need the lightest of application as the eye area is very thin.

As promised, in discriptor, the peptide and Vitamin B3 charged cream smoothed, hydrated, and brightened my dull mid-thirties visage.

This Olay Eye Cream is really pleasant. It has a really soft and gentle scent to it, quite fresh and clean. It is a very soft pink colour which I believe is meant to assist in colour correcting the area although this colour blends seamlessly into the skin when applied. The packaging is really cute and simple, a small clear circular container with a chrome lid. Looks very clean. I like that you can see the product so you know how much is left. It has a smooth creamy consistency and when it is massaged around the eye area it becomes slightly tacky and then after a minute or 2 the area turns soft and smooth. You really do not need much of this product at all, a barely dip the tip of my finger in, I can tell this would last a long time. It left my eye area feeling really hydrated and soft and I noticed this was still the case by the end of the day. It says it helps to reduce dark circles, luckily I don’t have this issue so I can’t comment on how the product may assist this but I do get puffiness often from lack of sleep and being tired and I notice this does help to reduce them. I would say with consistent use it has slightly helped to reduce fine lines. My eye area definitely feels a lot healthier using this product and significantly more hydrated. In fact, I didn’t even realise how dehydrated the area was until I started using this. In saying that, this product didn’t WOW me. I wouldn’t call this product a holy grail but there is nothing wrong with it. It feels nice on and lasts a long time I would call it satisfactory. I would recommend it as a nice staple product to own but nothing something to rush and spend your pennies on.

I have been super stoked using this eye cream, it has given me awesome results for the dark circles around my eyes. I love the texture of the product, smooth and delicate which helps it blend in nicely, also very easy to apply with just a slight hint of fragrance which is great for my skin.

The product comes in a small sized tub which is handy to carry around and is long lasting.

I was looking for a new eye cream so I was excited to have been selected for this Trial Team.

This product claims to instantaneously brighten and colour-correct the eye area, while providing anti-wrinkle and de-puffing effects.

It is a peachy gel-cream formula that spreads easily and feels cooling on the skin. It leaves a smooth, matte, silicone-y finish that sits well under makeup.

I did not notice any colour-correcting effect at all, the cream was completely invisible after it was all absorbed. There is no shimmer in this formula.

It did not reduce my dark circles, though I have pretty bad hayfever and rub my eyes a lot. I also did not find it hydrating enough. I don't really have wrinkles around my eyes so can't say much about that. I did find the cooling sensation quite refreshing so that might help with reducing puffiness.

Overall, this eye cream would be good for a bit of light moisture and for prepping the eye area before makeup. I don't think it's worth the $48.99 price tag and would not purchase it myself.

It's a small, cute bottle. Nothing special but still nice and modern looking.

The smell is inoffensive, barely noticeable. I think this is always a good thing. Heavy scents are such a turn off, especially since the eye area is so close to the nose.

It has a nice, silky consistency and rubs in easily. Only a small amount is needed, so I imagine the bottle will last quite a while despite its size.

Having only used it for less than a few weeks I can't speak for it's long-term results (yet), but I can vouch for it's short-term results. My undereye area is perpetually plagued by dark circles and I did find that this cream helped ease that some. I also have dry skin and so it can sometimes be difficult to find creams that moisturize them adequately, this cream also did a great job of that.

Overall I thinks it's a good eye cream, I would recommend it.
