Olay Ultimate Eye Cream Review

Sigh. It was with high hopes i thought this eye cream would make me 10 years younger and remove my bags and dark circles and lines.. but it wasnt to be. The initial packaging was ridiculous and not necessary. The product itself was creamy and smelled nice and absorbed pretty easily. I didnt feel magically different or notice any change over the 3 weeks in use I took before / during and after photos and no change.. not even a slight decrease in puffiness.

I wouldnt buy this again. I wont even continue to use it.

As someone who works ridiculously late nights and then gets up way too early, I thought my dark circles and bags would be the ultimate trial for this product. Bring it on!

The packaging is clean and simple, but oh so pretty with the silver/mirrored card backing the jar. The little pedestal it sits on helps give it that touch of elegance and luxury that we all want to experience when using quality products.

When I first opened the jar, I was a little skeptical about how the tinted colour would look around my eyes. I'm extremely fair-skinned with cool undertones, which made me think I would look like a clown once I applied, but it glided on and blended so flawlessly, I was amazed. The tint certainly does help reduce the dark circles while I'm wearing it, but has no visible lasting difference once my face is washed clean.

The cream goes on smoothly, and being fairly light, it dries quickly. It leaves the skin around the eyes feeling hydrated without the stickiness that some products leave behind, and in fact, the skin feels satiny with a smooth texture, which helps in applying eye makeup and making it last.

This is definitely a keeper for me, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this once the trial product runs out. With the small amount needed, and the benefits I'm seeing out of this product, I think the price point of under fifty dollars is money well-spent.

I really loved the texture of this eye creme. It felt very soothing and it left my eye area feeling beautifully nourished and my fine lines seemed less visible straight away. I found the slight tint that it has really did make my dark circles less obvious and it sat beautifully under my makeup. Having been sensitive to many eye cremes in the past, I was delighted with how gentle and quick absorbing this eye creme was while delivering all of the other benefits too! I definitely recommend trying!

I am writing this review as a part of trial team so need to say I haven't used this product long enough to see if it really reduces wrinkles. However I can say it works great as concealer and is ideal to use before putting make up on. It definitely makes dark circles less visible and smooths fine lines. Comes in small, good looking jar but it'll last for a long time as few drops are enough for one use. Has nice texture and color and is easily absorbed. I had few little red spots around eyes when I just started to use this but kept applying and now have no reaction. Need to say it works good for puffiness so after sleepless night it is very helpful. It is a bit overpriced but I have used few eye creams before and so far this one works the best. If in long term it works for wrinkles too I'll definitely buy it again.

When I first received this product I was shocked by the colour and was worried it would make my undereyes orange due to my pale skin tone. The product looked like a jar of concealer but I was intrigued how they said it would work with most skin tones.

The packaging the jar comes in feels cheap and it quite fragile whereas the jar the product is in is quite nice and feels a bit more high end. At first it feel like a small container for the price but a little goes a very long way!

It’s easy enough to get the product out and easy enough to apply. The product goes on smoothly and easily absorbed - I didn’t notice a massive difference to my undereye circles but my gosh it left them feeling so smooth and hydrated!

In love how it leaves my eyes feeling and after using it twice a day for over a week, I have noticed a decreased in the darkness underneath my eyes. This product really surprised me and has now replaced my current eye cream! I highly recommend trying this product!

Olay ultimate eye cream:

I usually don’t have eye cream in my normal skin care routine, but have been thinking about whether I need to add it, as I have been seeing some dark circles and bags appear more regularly! I have under eye bags and some dark circles. I haven’t used many eye creams in the past, only one or two so don’t have a lot to compare this with. To start, I didn’t particularly like the packaging personally- the product is a wee jar that’s clear on the bottom and a mirrored silver look for the lid and it’s inside a see-through box with the same mirrored silver backing inside. I found it hard to read the writing on the back- due to the clear box and mirrored silver combo, and personally felt that they clashed and I didn’t like the reflective-ness of the silver stuff. The packaging of the actual product was a bit better- the bottom looks like glass but doesn’t have the weight of it so feels a bit cheap. The lid is the same mirrored silver as the box which I didn’t like, as I felt it looked cheap as well. The actual product is the colour of a concealer, to counteract the dark circles. I didn’t particularly find that this concealed much of my under eye circles, although it did brighten a bit which I like. The consistency was good- a bit thicker than the other eye creams I have used but spread really easily. I don’t have any wrinkles (yet haha) so can’t comment on that effect. There was no particular smell, kind of neutral and just smelt like a cream with a subtle scent, which I didn’t mind too much. Overall, for an eye cream I thought this was average. Over the weeks that I’ve trialled this, i don’t think I have seen much change in the appearance of my under eye circles or bags. However I did like the brightening effect of my under eyes. I don’t think I would repurchase this, although I haven’t tried many eye creams to compare to!

I have been using Olay Eyes for two weeks, and I am amazed on how it reduce the puffiness of my eyes in the morning, now I can go to work everyday with confidence. I am very satisfied with the product, and I will definitely use it again in the future.

The packing was basic and gave clear directions on how to use. You knew what you were getting. The cream felt lovely rubbing in, soaked in quickly, wasn’t sticky and didn’t leave a residue. When I seen that it was brown I was curious to see if it would leave a colour trace so tried on a piece of tissue and it didn't. Only need a small amount that goes far so even though it’s only in 15ml it should last ages. I felt it helped with puffiness in the mornings and my skin definitely felt smoother but would need to use for Longer to judge effect on wrinkles. Reasonably priced for an eye cream I would buy again

From the moment I spied the pale pink cream I fell in love. Not only was it a delicate pink ,the cream was equally as delicate on my eyes. I was a bit fearful to use it as in the past I found eye creams to be heavy and produce milia on my skin but I have used this morning and night with no adverse effects. Its too soon to say its made a dramatic difference but I have certainly noticed my eye area is plumper with lines not so deeply etched. I will continue to buy this cream.

I'd start off by saying that this is definitely no way a concealer. It does appear to have colour in the container but when you start applying it under your eyes, there is barely any coverage so I wouldn't be put off if you have darker or lighter skin as this basically blends into nothing. However in saying that I really really do like this! It was surprising because I didn't expect it to do so well for my dark circles. I have the worst dark circles and after using it for a week I've definitely seen some slight improvements so I can only imagine that it'll keep improving my dark under eyes. There isn't any scent to it which is nice and the formula itself is super light and doesn't feel too heavy seeing as it is a cream. Feels somewhat like a moisturiser in a way and blends just as well. The only issue I had with this is that if you don't let it dry and set properly before applying other products it will look incredibly patchy. The products you apply on top just won't adhere to where you've applied the eye cream which is slightly annoying. Other than that, this is amazing especially for the results!
