Trilogy Clarifying and Mattifying Trial Team

I got these for a Christmas gift and hadn't tried any Trilogy products before. I really liked the rosehip oil, but didn't use the other two products as much

I'm usually a very low maintenance gal so thought I'd give this skincare regime a whirl to see if it convinced me I needed to do more. I'm not getting any younger, and my skin is showing signs of all the time I spend outdoors training.

Firstly, I love the Trilogy packaging. It feels luxurious and like you're getting a treat. And everything smells SO GOOD!

The instructions were easy to follow and I really enjoyed the products. In general they did what they said they would, so my skin felt and looked good. It was well moisturised and didn't get overly greasy, which surprised me with using an oil.

The things that were missing from this regime were: 1) a toner. The cleansing lotion says to follow with a toner. I don't usually use toner but had an old bottle I employed during the trial. 2) and eye cream. We all know that a separate eye cream is necessary so I continued using the brand I currently use. I think these two things would have made a more fullsome review.

After two weeks of regular use I can say that my skin is good. Is it any better than my usual regime? Well, that's questionable. And considering the price difference I don't think I'm about to rush out and buy a whole new set of Trilogy products. They feel like a lovely treat and if someone gifted them to me I would not be unhappy! But I don't think I'm about to splash my own cash on it.

After a week of trialing this trio I had to stop using the oil as I really didn't enjoy how it made my skin feel. However using the cleansing gel and moisturising cream really did give my skin a nice treat. The cleansing gel was definitely my favourite, would be one of the best cleansers I have ever used. They work really well together. I feel my skin is a lot clearer, hydrated and way less shine. Even though my skin has less shine it is not dull at all. Neither product weighed my skin down at all but the oil certainly did. I would definitely recommend the cleansing gel and moisturising cream to anyone looking for a nice little combo.

I was stoked to be on the trial team for this regime. I have been using Trilogy products for a while now and thought this regime sounded ideal for my super oily and sometimes sensitive skin. Firstly, I love that the cleansing gel and facial oil come in glass bottles - I'm all about what's good for the planet and I also just think they look really classy in the bathroom! It would be great to see Trilogy ditch the plastic tube for their moisturiser by moving to glass jars instead. The clarifying cleansing gel is my fave out of all three products. It has a lovely light herbal scent and foams up pretty well. It cleanses thoroughly without completely stripping and didn't irritate the skin. I would definitely buy it again. The mattifying moisturizing lotion is a nice simple cream. It is light on the skin so perfect for a day cream except that it have any spf protection. Like the cleanser, it is gentle on the skin. The facial oil is another product I'd buy again. I love the nourishing benefits of facial oils but hate the feeling in my skin, but this oil is lighter than any I've used before. It has a gorgeous lemongrassy scent and a little goes a long way. These products are nice on their own but even better as a regime. Last night I used alongside the Trilogy Hydrating Jelly Mask and Trilogy Vitamin C toner and my skin looked AMAZING this morning. I'm keen to introduce the Trilogy Vitamin C polishing powder to the regime too! I didn't really find that my skin was any less oily while using these products but still a nice regime overall.

This skin care regime is a great set for people who don’t have the patience or time for a long skincare routine. Or are just starting out with skincare.

It gives amazing results with just three products and just takes a few minutes a day!

It’s great for people with combination or oiler skin types and all ages from teenagers to mature skin. it helps rebalance your skin without giving you overly stripped areas and overly greasy areas on your face!

I love that this product is made with certified natural and vegan friendly ingredients. So you feel confident in the quality and ethics of the company and that they truely care about the customers.

I really enjoyed this trio from Trilogy. The products all have that lovely Trilogy look, and the glass bottles for the cleanser and oil are nice, heavy and quality.

My favourite product is the cleanser - it is thick and 1 pump is plenty for the face and neck. It feels instantly clarifying - as I used it on my oil prone chin I could feel the change in skin texture immediately, its really cleansing and refreshing.

Next I really enjoyed the moisturiser - it really did seem to keep oil at bay and leave a healthy glow to the skin.

The oil was ok - I found it a bit greasy to apply and not as hydrating as I'd like, but it did make my skin feel smoother (that'll be the salicylic acid).

All up - a brilliant regime to try if you have combo skin and an oily t-zone like yours truly.

I had the luxury of trialing Trilogy Clarifying Cleansing Gel($39) Hemphip Balancing Oil ($28) and the Mattifying Moisturising Lotion and as Trilogy is a personal favourite of mine was VERY happy. I found the cleansing gel was very gentle and although it didn't foam up as a lot of gel cleansers do, it left my skin feeling well cleansed but not stripped of its natural oils which I believe is important. You only need a small amount for it to do its magic. It has a pleasant fragrance and I could definitely smell the mint aroma coming through. After cleansing, I applied the 2-3 drops of the hemp oil using the convenient dropper applicator that it comes with. It had lovely notes of lemon popping through and left my skin feeling nourished but not oily as it absorbs very well into freshly cleansed skin. A little really does go a long way. Next I used the mattifying moisturising lotion which I felt was a bit thicker than the lotions I have used it the past but I do prefer that to a thinner lotion. It glides well onto cleansed skin and you don't need a huge amount which is good as at $49 for 50ml, it is a little pricey but as it doesn't have an spf in it, I would tend to use only in the evenings. It also doesn't have an overpowering fragrance and is very pleasant to use and doesn't leave you with a shiny face. My skin felt lovely after using daily for just over a week and did look much healthier for it.

WOW ok, so these three products were MADE for my skin!

I have slightly oily areas, notably my chin and nose, the rest of my skin is I guess fairly normal? The problem I encounter with products tailored for oily skin is that they tend to strip back my normal areas and take them into the dry zone.

The cleanser is just incredible - it has a scent that adds to the shower experience. It leaves skin feeling balanced and really clean - without being too clean.

The oil is wonderful - light, non-greasy and very smooth. I enjoyed using this immensely, I felt it left my skin feeling hydrated, smooth and is the perfect way to amp up your moisturiser.

The mattifying moisturiser does what it says! It keeps skin moisturised but keeps oil away. It doesn't leave skin shiny either which I loved and is a lovely base for makeup.

I love this range from Trilogy - I love the packaging, I think the price is fair and I will definitely be looking to repurchase.

Oily or combo folks....this range is for you!

I love trilogy products and think they are very well priced for the quality of them. I used them all through beauty school as this was all I could afford at the time and my tutors would constantly say how nice my skin was, even under a woods lamp! The rose hip oil is just beautiful even for my oily/combo skin
