Lovely matte palette. Perfect size for travel but I’ve been using it every day at the moment.Typical UD eyeshadow formula - great pigmentation and easy to blend.

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette Review
Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette When UD junkies cried out for a palette of matte neutrals, Naked Basics delivered—and left them begging for MORE shades. (And we couldn’t deny them!)
Cooler in tone than the original, Naked2 Basics complements Naked2 perfectly. We loaded this indispensable palette with six TAUPE-hued matte neutrals, including five never-before-seen shades. These shadows are neutral enough for anyone, from cool skin tones to olive complexions to darker skin.

This is the most perfect compact eyeshadow and is a must for everyone of all ages. I will use the neutral colours as a daily base and will deepen the look with the darkest brown and black if heading out for the evening without having to restart my makeup. It is ALWAYS in my car. Was brought for me as a gift last year and have since purchased a new one. Will be a forever staple for me.
Tips: Highly recommend laying concealer first then packing on the lightest shade. From there darken to your desired colour. I tend to put a medium brown in the crease, dark brown in outer corner and for nights out will use the black along my crease. Always will put highlight in the inner corner for that final pop.
This is such a staple eyeshadow palette. My everyday eyeshadow look is an all matte look- a natural 'skintone' colour on the lid and a medium brown in the crease. This is perfect for that. I also love to do a night out look using this palette and then a glittery single shadow for some glam. Absolute must have palette!
I love all things Urban Decay with 5+ palettes in my collection. The shadows are creamy & blend like a dream!
This is the cutest little eyeshadow palette to cart around, and I travel a lot! I’ve used several mini versions or small eyeshadow palette and this has to be the best one. It has all you need to create several looks from day to night, and I love that they’re all matte. I bought one for my bestie and she loves it!
I have the full version of the Naked 2 palette, but sometimes it's just too much of a hassel taking the whole thing with me and I found myself using the cooler shades much more than others. When I saw that the basics 2 palette was based on cool toned browns, I instantly knew I wanted it.
The palette is quite small, (about the size of iphone 5) and doesn't have a space for a brush. It does however have a mirror, which earns it extra brownie points. It has a sturdy lid that clicks shut, so I don't have to worry about it accidentally opening in my bag or something. This is convenient to carry around if you're travelling or for touch ups during the day.
The eyeshadow is super smooth and buttery, and picks up so easily. I usually just touch my brush to the pan instead of swiping to prevent picking up too much product. It applies like a dream and blends delightfully, giving a satiny, soft finish. Five shadows are matte and the lightest is slightly pearly, which makes them perfect for my everyday no makeup look. I love 'cover' and primal', the two medium brown shades. One makes for a slightly warmer eye contour, one for a cooler one. You can even use them as face contour, which I absolutely love. The darkest shade 'undone' is perfect for a subtle smokey eye and the two lighter shades work well for the browbone or inner corners. I rarely find a palette where I use every single shade, so I feel I'm really making the most out of this.
The only thing I don't like would probably be the price. I paid around 40 something for this, and you gotta say that's hella expensive for about 8 grams of colored powder. But to this day I haven't found another small palette that has the perfect combination of cool browns that match the consistency of this one. So I'll let my wallet take the blow.
I find myself reaching for this palette a lot, it's so easy to just have a selection of colors that go together well, without having the fuss of trying to decide from a bigger palette. This is also perfect for traveling with as it is so versatile with the highlight shade and it's so small it can fit in a handbag or a makeup bag so easily. The shadows themselves are so lovely, they're pigmented and easy to blend and all go together really well no matter what sort of look you are going for.
My first Urban Decay palette and on first sight I fell in love. A palette with six matte neutral shades. Exactly what I've been searching for. The names are whimsical with 1 sat in which is used as a highlighter. The names are from lightest shade to darkest or left to right: Skimp a pale nude -satin Stark a nude pink- matte Frisk warm grey -matte Cover a warm red-brown -matte Primal muted brown -matte Undone deep smokey brown- matte The packaging : A cute handheld palette with the iconic surrounds that Urban Decay produce, in a sleek taupe palette. A flip top palette, conveniently made for ease of use making it great for on the go, very lightweight, transportable& purse friendly. Contents: Flip top opening with 1 side being a full mirror and flush bottom it sits on have the shadows. The shadiws are full sized but sit in a cute convenient compact. Ingenuity wow.. Effects: These have all you need for any look from the neutral nude look or the big smokey eye look it can transform your eyes with quality bendable shadows and very pigmented at the same time. You could just go bare naked with the matte white/creams and apply the dark taupes as liner&/or brow filler. Or go full smokey eye with the taupes with the brow bone highlighted with Skimp. Shades are blended out enhancing your eyes natural beauty. This is a perfect all rounder palette with a powerful punch. There is very little fall out, what does fall out is easily picked up,not leaving any shimmer behind for however you apply your foundation and concealer. Hands down my winning palette and used either as my full eye, or part of my eye routine...
