Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation Review

This is quite a lovely foundation actually. Right away, if you are dry skinned you will probably be disappointed. It’s perfect for oily/normal/combo skin. It truly looks like photoshop in a bottle. If you do need to conceal blemishes however this coverage won’t help too much so you will need a concealer. I really like the blurring foundation brush from urban with this one. I feel this is one that needs its paired brush for optimal results. It is a matte coverage but doesn’t feel drying at all on the skin. You can’t feel it on your face at all. If you are more oily though, you will probably have some transfer later on in the day so you’ll want to set with powder. This one definitely needs a primer with it if you are looking for all day wear. Without primer I only got about 4 hours without it feathering away on my chin area.

I was on the hunt for a foundation which wasn't heavy but had good coverage, after extensive research I ended up with this!

Pros: as advertised - lightweight, applies nicely without looking caked on, awesome range of shade - ending .0 = yellow tones, ending .5 = cool tones. Pump bottle looks very sleek

Cons: zero oil control, I am shiny after an hr :( the stay power is not good, it's smells rather chemically but does fade once applied. I noticed a lot of product is escaping from around the pump lid, maybe a fault in the packaging.

Other things to note, this is a very runny foundation. It's not really buildable as it dries really quickly so applying another layer is a bit difficult - it would be a great summer foundation as it looks very natural after one application provided you won't be out all day. It highlights dry patches, not really suited for dry skin. I believe this will look good on people with normal skin who need light coverage.

I am in the shade 10.0, this foundation does feel light, definitely not a full coverage foundation, more on the medium side. I'm a person who has acne scars and it will cover. I have big pores and it just seems to blur it out but not fully. It does have a slight fragrance, it smells good to me but others describe it as a spray paint smell. Overall I feel flawless in this foundation and natural

I bought this of Beauty Bay a few months ago in the shad 6.5. The first thing I noticed about this foundation is how easy it is to blend, the next I thing noticed was that you cant even feel it on your face once its on and the coverage is pretty good for a medium coverage. At the moment I cant use it because it is way too dark but I really look forward to using it once I am more tan.

I have had this for a few months now, so I have had plenty of time to test it out.

I only seem to reach for this on weekends or days off. It's very light and breathable, but doesn't give the coverage I like for long days in the salon! It's very easy to blend, I like to use a stippling brush, or a damp sponge for application. The consistency is fairly runny compared with my other foundations, but it's not hard to use. The shade is a great match for my skin (0.5). It is buildable, but I only ever use one layer. I do find that it needs to be set with a powder, otherwise I'm oily by lunchtime :) Overall I think it's lovely for those 'low key' days where you don't want a full face on.

Ever since I first bought this product from spear I have been using it and love it. The texture is smooth and not too thick. It goes on weightlessly and non oily. Considering its a thinner consistency, it covers most skin imperfections very well! I have mild chin and cheek acne on occasions and this foundations cover up my little nasties very well.

This is almost everything I want in a foundation:

I'm still on that search for the perfect foundation and even though I have found a couple of great ones I can't seem to be satisified so this prompted the purchase of the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition after seeing it be used on one of my favourite YouTubers.

As always when I am unable to get my hands on a sample prior to purchase I settled for the lightest shade that they create, being super pale does have some benefits there and 9 out of 10 times the shade is spot on or close enough.

The design of the packaging is cute and chic all at the same time in a chunky, thick rounded cylinder tube that seems to have the dull thud when tinked of clear acrylic rather than glass (bonus when travelling!!) with a gunmetal steel effect pump and lid that snaps firmly in place so you can be secure in the fact that should you take it with your it isn't going to dislodge and make a mess by discharging in your bag. The pump is brilliant as you can take a little out to cover your face without over spilling too much and then wasting it. The formula is a nice even toned liquid that feels cool and light, it blends seamlessly with the use of both a flat top kabuki foundation brush and a dampen beautyblender type sponge. It doesn't settle too quickly so you have time to blend this foundation into your skin for a flawless look, it seems to warm to your skin allowing you to work precisely with it to get into the correct areas without leaving streaks or buffing blotches.

This foundation does give your skin a weightless coverage without skimping on the full coverage. It settles onto your skin and once blended doesn't move about or slip off of my face, I do use a matte primer underneath on the oily areas of my skin but even so with this sometimes foundation still manages to sink into my pores or becomes diluted down by the oils and can appear patching half way through the day, with this particular foundation these problems didn't arise at all. The only issue was that by 3pm I have a soft sheen across my cheek and forehead but that is probably down to the primer being at fault and my own skin, not the foundation.

I would be happy to say that this is one of my top 5 foundations and will be repurchasing when I run out, which may be some time as a little goes a long way and you get a decent amount for your money too.

I love this foundation as my 'everyday go to' foundation, it gives a weightless medium coverage that is buildable. The foundation range is good with yellow and pink undertones available for each shade, I love the packaging and its sleek look and it has a pump! (im not sure why some foundations still don't come with some sort of pump!) I prefer to apply this foundation with a damp beauty blender as it makes this quick and easy - and gives a great glowy coverage! I still use a powder to set as this foundation does take a little bit longer to settle. I also have dry to combo skin. The only downfall is that it is super available for NZers, the only 'store' is in AUK international airport.

This is my favourite full coverage foundation for those moments when I want to go on heavy for an event of date night.

Even though it is marketed as a weightless foundation it does give a full coverage but does feel as if there is nothing on your skin with it feeling soft and buttery. There is a little rub off but this can be corrected with a setting spray and powder which is steps that I always do especially on a heavy makeup application that I want to last.
