Lets have a TMI spoiler here. I don't use this on my legs. I used to wax my legs so my growth is minimal - my nether regions however, need to be looked after. Noone is going to want to visit if the front lawn isn't looked after (amiright?!) Anyway, I use this all the time and I LOVE it, admitedly, the smell is kinda weird and lingers for about a day. I'm used to it now, so it doesn't bother me, however I can see how it would put people off. Still, it does what it says it will, I always repurchase, I have tried other brands & didn't like them as much, so I will continue to repurchase this until I die or win the lotto to get laser.

I got chosen to review this product. I wasn't sure what to think of the product at first, I wasn't even convinced it was gonna work, but to my surprise it did! it doesn't smell wonderful, but it doesn't reek either. the first application was messy, as expected. I left it for 5 minutes, and it didn't remove any hair, so I tried again for 7 and a half minutes and it was perfect! the hair came away with the spatula. I took my laptop into the bathroom and watched vlogs while I waited, so that killed time. I made sure the cream was all off my legs once i'd finished and my legs felt smooth. I was worried about getting itchy, red legs which is quite normal for me after shaving but it didn't happen which makes me very keen to use the product again! I didn't think the tube would last long but you don't end up using much, i'll be able to get 2 or 3 more uses out if it, at least. over all the product exceeded my expectations, and I would use it again, and recommend it to my friends. I'm not sure if I would buy this product myself, as I think its a bit expensive and shaving is much quicker.
Tips: I found it easier to put the cream on the back of the curved spatula and run it up your legs, its much cleaner and much cleaner!
Overall I liked this product! It was quick, painless and didn't smell like nasty chemicals. I have used a few different hair removal creams and this one was very good for my sensitive skin! In the past I have felt stinging sensations when using these sorts of products and my skin remained red for a while afterwards. This product however didn't do this! It was completely pain free and I didn't react to it like I have with others.
It removed the majority of hair on my legs. However, it did miss the coarser hair around my ankles. I found it quite hard to get an even spread of product with the spatula, thus I seemed to have quite a few patches that I missed. I also tried it on my armpits and it didn't really work all that well because the hair is a lot coarser and I didn't want to leave it on for too long! I also found that I had to use a lot of product for my legs so the 100ml didn't last very long.
My leg hair grew back in a day like it does with shaving so the results didn't last twice as long for me, however I think I will continue to experiment with hair removal creams as I've heard that overtime it slows hair growth!
Tips: It might be easier to use something else to apply the product with since it's hard to get an even spread with the spatula. The cream has to be quite a thick layer if it is to remove coarser hair and will need to be left on longer than with finer hair.
When wanting to experiment with other hair removal products other than shaving I went to my local supermarket to see the different options.
Firstly, Veet is a well known brand and it attracted me that this was specifically for sensitive skin. The packaging is simplistic and stylish, in a blue box with a modern design.
The first thing that I noticed was the smell, it was rather unpleasant like most hair removal creams I have tried. It really made me think again why I was using this method, maybe I should go back to shaving already! The smell remained in my bathroom for a while, not nice.
It did take a while to apply the cream with the spatula, not the funnest job when its rather cold in your bathroom. It was a challenge to get the cream evenly spread over my legs with the spatula provided in the pack.
The positive thing though is it didn't sting and make my skin red like other hair removal products have done in the past.
After five minutes of waiting rather impatiently I removed the cream and saw the results. It removed most of the hair on my legs, but not all. I ended up having to shave afterwards anyway.
Overall, I'm not a fan of hair removal creams. They are rather messy, unpleasant smelling and require to much waiting for me. I want my hair removal methods to be quick, convenient and no- fuss. So, I think shaving is the way to go for me!
I like to use this when im just lounging around and not in a rush. I like the fact its sensitive and doesnt bring me out in a rash. Im not a huge fan of the spatula applicator they give you as i find it can scrap the product off as you apply it if your not gentle enough. Id say its defineatly not great if your in a rush as i like to leave it a couple more minutes than it suggests to be sure all ym ahir is removed. The smell is defineatly not to pleasant so if your sensitive to horrible smells its probably not for you. Overal this is extremely easy to use and no cuts from a razor
This was my first BR trial and I was beyond excited to be part of the trial team.
Before trying out the cream I purposely went without shaving for 2 weeks as my body hair grows slowly and I wanted to give this product a fair try.
I tried the Veet in Shower Hair Removal Cream back in 2004 and wasn't really thrilled with it so when BR asked me to review this product I was excited to see how it worked and what changes Veet had made to their products over that past 10 years.
I tested out the removal cream under my arms and on my legs. Due to my body hair being very fine I expected this stuff to work awesome but I was wrong. This product is very average. Yes it did remove hair but only to a degree. I was still left with a few stray hairs, therefore I found myself needing to shave afterwards in order to achieve a smooth finish.
The end result on both my legs and under my arms was kinda like I was left with stubble. It was as if I hadn't shaved for a few days as both areas weren't super soft or smooth as promised.
An annoying feature about this cream is the waiting time. I found it very time consuming sitting around waiting for the cream to to work it's magic. I had to leave the product on for the entire ten minute processing time - even then I was still left with some hair. As you can imagine having your arms in the air for ten mins is quite a tiring process :)
I can't say that I would personally recommend this cream to anyone nor would I really give it another go in the immediate future. I might be inclined to test this product out in another ten years.
I do like the fact that it doesn't hurt the skin. I have very sensitive skin and found that the cream didn't affect it at all so that was nice.
As for the smell it just smells like every other depilatory cream I've ever used.
I will continue shaving as it is much faster and personally leaves me with better results.
Tips: Don't use the spatula it makes the application awkward. The product is much easier to apply using a popsicle stick.
I am so glad I tried this. It was easy and very reliable product to use.. I was a bit hesitant as I have used other veet products in past and wasnt really impressed but this worked a treat and made my skin feel smooth for days and no sore or red areas as I get sensitive skin. I recommend ths product to any1 that hates shaving or dosnt have time. Whip it on 4 mins b4 showering is what worked best for me.. good product
Tips: Use this if u have your legs out alot
I decided to purchase this hair removal cream due to having quite dark hairs on my arm and was not interested in having to get them waxed and though this would be perfect. I use this once a month and have found that this works great at removing my dark arm hairs. It is quick and painless. It doesn't smell amazing but I am not to fussed as it only takes five minutes to remove all your unwanted hair. I have found that I haven't had any reactions to this removal cream. I have also found that my unwanted dark arm hairs done grow back all that fast. I have already repurchased this as I love these products.
Hair removal wise this product wasnt to bad. It did remove the hair however i dont think it lasted any longer than regular shaving. the reason I hated it was because of the smell. I was literally gagging because it smelt so bad and ive had to throw out the product since because it smelt so strong. would never use it again regardless of how good it is due to the revolting smell.
My first impression of this product was "great, it lasts way longer than shaving!". Then whilst reading the instructions, I was a bit wary of the warning of "chemical burns"!!! Any product with a risk of chemical burns cannot be good to have absorbed into your skin so that was straight away a turn-off for me! I trialed the product and found it easy to use and didn't tingle or feel itchy like other Veet product I have tried in the past. As a mum though, I did struggle a wee bit with having to do it within ten minutes, as I tend to get sidetracked a lot!! It was easy to remove with the little spatula they provide, however it certainly didn't remove all the hair and I still needed to shave patches afterwards!! You also cannot use this Veet Hair Removal Cream on any scars, sunburn or broken skin, so you have to shave around those areas also. So monitoring my legs in the days after using the Veet Hair Removal Cream, just four days later I already needed to shave my legs!! So a thumbs down for me, I would rather just shave and save time and money in the process! I am just one person however, so hopefully it works better for some other people!! =)
Tips: If you are a mummy, make sure the kiddies are asleep or well occupied before you apply!!
