I tried this because a friend recommended it to me, for her it does exactly what it's meant to, every time and she loves it. It didn't work so well on me unfortunately... I used it on my legs and left it on for about 7mins (i forgot to set the timer!) and rubbed it off with a towel in the shower. It worked well in some areas, in others it looked like I hadn't used it at all! I think the problem is that I have really dry skin, so when I put it on, it pretty much just soaked straight into my skin. I reapplied in some around my lower leg, and that's where it worked the best. I will try this again, but making sure my legs are not too dry beforehand. Areas of my legs stung a bit for a few hours afterwards too, but that was ok after I moisturised. The day after my legs were fine with no areas of redness etc. I actually found the smell quite pleasant for a hair removal cream, it was not that strong and definitely better than others I've tried in the past.

Tips: Use a small towel/washcloth to rub it off while you're in the shower - just rinsing doesn't remove the hair as well.
We all face the issues of removing unwanted hair from our body. There are many options for the same like waxing, epilators, razors, laser treatments and the most recent one, IPL hair removal. But the most handy one is to use a hair removal cream though I don't prefer it over waxing or epilation but sometimes when I am in a hurry and don't have the patience to sit for waxing or epilating, I do use this hair removal cream.
The cream has a thick consistency, but it spreads quite easily and covers the area from which the hair needs to be removed. I don't feel any kind of sensation, itching, burning while the cream is on. The only thing I detest is the awful smell. Sometimes, I have to reapply as all hair are not removed. But, after that my skin does feel very soft devoid of obnoxious hair. I quickly take a shower after using it to get rid of the smell. Skin remains hair free for a week and after which I start to see small hair growing out. The packaging is quite handy as well.
Its a good quick fix and always comes in handy when you don't have much time and so I would repurchase it!
I use it in the shower and I did not like it. I hate the strong smell and hate how it makes my legs go red and sore. I did do a good job removing my hair but the feeling after-removing is not nice. Would not buy it again.
I like this product, but you have to let your hair grow longer than you usually might between shaving. The scent is not pleasant, and you can sort of smell your hair "burning off". It really does work though, and leaves your skin suoer smooth but that is the only positive about this product. For the price, you dont get much and if you use on both legs it used quite a bit of the product. I wouldnt use this again for large areas.
I'm really mixed emotions about this product, it's helpful but not really. Let me explain ..
So I was looking for shaving cream to help me shave those hard stubborn bits I always miss.
This cream has a super strong smell, and it's not really pleasant my whole bathroom smelt like it and my partner was really horrified with the smell haha opps.
It did make shaving a little easier but didn't help too much with the stubborn bits, ugh annoying but it was a much quicker process shaving the hair off. The tube lasted me about 3 showers then I needed a new one so not too ideal for tall people with long legs and arms.
I think it would've helped if I had a bath, and could use this and shave in there to get it all perfectly right. It does come with a tool - I didn't use it because from previous experience it doesn't work, so I just use a cheap shaver I have to help remove the hair. Just not sure if I'd buy this again.. it did make shaving quicker though and it shaved almost everything off..
Like the other reviews have pointed out, this has a horrible and very strong smell (think: rotten eggs or sulphur). The worst part about it is the smell lingers even after a shower. I was positive I could still smell it on myself even after washing it off with a strongly scented body wash.
With the product effectiveness itself, I have always found depilatory creams to be not that effective. They get rid of a large amount of hair, though no matter how long you leave it on, there are a few hairs that still need to be removed using some other method such as shaving. This was no different in that respect.
I did find this wasn't overly drying or irritating to my skin unlike other creams. For that reason alone, if I do end up buying depilatory cream again, I would consider this.
Although I enjoyed this product I am undecided if it is worth the extra hassle when compared to shaving. This product left my skin very moisturised which I don't often get from shaving but only left my skin smooth for three days. Although I am happy to use what I have left of this product I think if I had to choose between this and shaving I would probably pick shaving.
I was given this product to review and it was my first time using a hair removal cream. I will say that it did leave my legs smooth but only for 1 day. The tube doesn't go far at all and I used around half just to cover my legs. I then had to keep it on for at least 10 minutes for any hair to come off and the spatula did not work remove all of the hair. It really didn't feel worth the effort of waiting 10 minutes just for this to work, shaving gets the same job done without the awkward wait. But if you are a fan of removal creams then this won't dry your skin out.
Tips: Use a face cloth or something that is a bit stronger to remove the cream
I used to use this as my only method of getting rid of unwanted hair about 10 years ago, but not sure if they changed the formula or if my body changed against it but I only ever use it now if I don’t have a blade left for my razor.
The cream is fine to apply albeit a little on the messy side as the texture is extra thick and it has an odour to it that is a little off putting, the only way I can describe it is it smells warm and acidy. So you lather this all over you legs then you need to give the cream time to essentially burn off the hair, which takes 10-15 minutes depending on how thick your hair is, I’ve got thick hair so I always leave on for the full time allowed, although it pays to keep checking with the supplied spatula every few minutes after the 10 minute period you don’t want this cream on longer than it needs to be. Then you rinse it off using the spatula to mimic a razor by scraping against the grain of the hair. Voila! Hair free legs, well kind of, they look tidy but as soon as you run your hands over them you can feel the prickly reside of hairs, that a razor would have gotten rid off leaving you silky smooth.
Also I find that even with this sensitive version of Veet that I developed a rash/itchy burn sensation across my legs within 24 hours, especially after showering (doesn’t help I guess that I have my shower so hot even Satan would wince getting into it – but that is besides the point I like it hot and shall do so) it’s not worryingly bad, as soon as I’ve showered and dried I apply cream it dies down, it just seems harsh even in this formula.
I have used Veet hair removal products for many years. I particularly like this one because my skin has gotten more sensitive over the years. I don't use it often now, preferring a professional wax, but use it sometimes for peach fuzz instead of shaving.
It comes in a pretty coloured box with the Veet logo and has a mild fragrance (although I'm not a fan of the smell of depilatory creams - they have a kind of pain memory that goes with the smell).
The cream is a soft, toothpaste-y consistency and spreads easily on the skin. After leaving it for a few minutes it comes off easily (damp make up pad or facecloth with cold water) taking all the hair with it. Usually it leaves no marks but just occasionally (hormones?) it leaves a slightly burning rash that lasts all day. I also found the area it was used on can sometimes be irritated by cleansing/moisturising products or foundations up to 24 hours after use, and burns if I forget and apply progesterone cream after using it.
Overall I think this is a good product and I would recommend it. The price is a good average price for the quality of the product.
Tips: Use very cold water to wash it off and don't apply progesterone cream where you have used it!!
