Horrible smell, doesn’t remove all of the hair and stings really badly (although admittedly I have sensitive skin). I don’t know if it’s this brand or if hair removal creams just don’t work for me! I love the idea of not shaving and not having to wait for hair to grow before it needs to be waxed but this did not work for me.

Tips: Avoid it!
I used this just to give a try and unfortunately it didn’t work for me. Didn’t remove any hair even when it says to leave on for a certain amount of time then rub off there was still hair on my arm. This one wasn’t for me but may work for others
I was chosen to test out this product, and I honestly came out disappointed with the product.
The first thing I did not like about it is the smell. The smell was so bad, I ha to hold in my breath when I was applying it.
The second problem I found with it is you aimlessly stand around your bathroom for 5 mins doing nothing. I thankfully thought of putting a mud mask on while I was waiting to shower but for me, I don't like waiting around for things like that. I would rather grab a decent razor and shave it off in 5 mins then wait around for it to work.
Lastly, it did not remove all of my hair on my leg, in fact, it removed hardly any of it! My hair is very thick and stubborn so that is probably why. It may work out better for those who have lighter/fairer hairs on their legs, but for me it wasn't working.
Overall, i would not re-purchase this product. I think I'll stick to my razors and waxing.
Hair removal wise this product wasnt to bad. It did remove the hair however i dont think it lasted any longer than regular shaving. the reason I hated it was because of the smell. I was literally gagging because it smelt so bad and ive had to throw out the product since because it smelt so strong. would never use it again regardless of how good it is due to the revolting smell.
My first impression of this product was "great, it lasts way longer than shaving!". Then whilst reading the instructions, I was a bit wary of the warning of "chemical burns"!!! Any product with a risk of chemical burns cannot be good to have absorbed into your skin so that was straight away a turn-off for me! I trialed the product and found it easy to use and didn't tingle or feel itchy like other Veet product I have tried in the past. As a mum though, I did struggle a wee bit with having to do it within ten minutes, as I tend to get sidetracked a lot!! It was easy to remove with the little spatula they provide, however it certainly didn't remove all the hair and I still needed to shave patches afterwards!! You also cannot use this Veet Hair Removal Cream on any scars, sunburn or broken skin, so you have to shave around those areas also. So monitoring my legs in the days after using the Veet Hair Removal Cream, just four days later I already needed to shave my legs!! So a thumbs down for me, I would rather just shave and save time and money in the process! I am just one person however, so hopefully it works better for some other people!! =)
Tips: If you are a mummy, make sure the kiddies are asleep or well occupied before you apply!!
When wanting to experiment with other hair removal products other than shaving I went to my local supermarket to see the different options.
Firstly, Veet is a well known brand and it attracted me that this was specifically for sensitive skin. The packaging is simplistic and stylish, in a blue box with a modern design.
The first thing that I noticed was the smell, it was rather unpleasant like most hair removal creams I have tried. It really made me think again why I was using this method, maybe I should go back to shaving already! The smell remained in my bathroom for a while, not nice.
It did take a while to apply the cream with the spatula, not the funnest job when its rather cold in your bathroom. It was a challenge to get the cream evenly spread over my legs with the spatula provided in the pack.
The positive thing though is it didn't sting and make my skin red like other hair removal products have done in the past.
After five minutes of waiting rather impatiently I removed the cream and saw the results. It removed most of the hair on my legs, but not all. I ended up having to shave afterwards anyway.
Overall, I'm not a fan of hair removal creams. They are rather messy, unpleasant smelling and require to much waiting for me. I want my hair removal methods to be quick, convenient and no- fuss. So, I think shaving is the way to go for me!
This was my first BR trial and I was beyond excited to be part of the trial team.
Before trying out the cream I purposely went without shaving for 2 weeks as my body hair grows slowly and I wanted to give this product a fair try.
I tried the Veet in Shower Hair Removal Cream back in 2004 and wasn't really thrilled with it so when BR asked me to review this product I was excited to see how it worked and what changes Veet had made to their products over that past 10 years.
I tested out the removal cream under my arms and on my legs. Due to my body hair being very fine I expected this stuff to work awesome but I was wrong. This product is very average. Yes it did remove hair but only to a degree. I was still left with a few stray hairs, therefore I found myself needing to shave afterwards in order to achieve a smooth finish.
The end result on both my legs and under my arms was kinda like I was left with stubble. It was as if I hadn't shaved for a few days as both areas weren't super soft or smooth as promised.
An annoying feature about this cream is the waiting time. I found it very time consuming sitting around waiting for the cream to to work it's magic. I had to leave the product on for the entire ten minute processing time - even then I was still left with some hair. As you can imagine having your arms in the air for ten mins is quite a tiring process :)
I can't say that I would personally recommend this cream to anyone nor would I really give it another go in the immediate future. I might be inclined to test this product out in another ten years.
I do like the fact that it doesn't hurt the skin. I have very sensitive skin and found that the cream didn't affect it at all so that was nice.
As for the smell it just smells like every other depilatory cream I've ever used.
I will continue shaving as it is much faster and personally leaves me with better results.
Tips: Don't use the spatula it makes the application awkward. The product is much easier to apply using a popsicle stick.
I decided to give this a go on my legs and man was that a bad idea, it left them very red and irritated, the smell is awful and although it did remove the hair it was a very unpleasant experience. Would definately not use it again as there are way better creams out there.
I purchased this as I have sensitive skin and it’s not alway easy for me to get into get them waxed so I picked this up at the supermarket thinking it should be better than the risk of shaving rash I can often get.
It reminds me of a tube of toothpaste I squeezed it out and smoothed all over both legs the smell isn’t that pleasant but it’s ok if it does the job. I set the timer and waited which seemed to take forever then began trying to remove a lot did come off but I found I had to scrap the skin pretty hard to even get that and then there was no consistency there were still long patches and the odd bit that didn’t move. So I can ended up having to shave after anyway, your skin does feel nice just a pit prickly still after using.
This product stung and left me with little sore bumps afterwards, exactly what it isn't meant to do. Would not use again
