I got chosen to review this product. I wasn't sure what to think of the product at first, I wasn't even convinced it was gonna work, but to my surprise it did! it doesn't smell wonderful, but it doesn't reek either. the first application was messy, as expected. I left it for 5 minutes, and it didn't remove any hair, so I tried again for 7 and a half minutes and it was perfect! the hair came away with the spatula. I took my laptop into the bathroom and watched vlogs while I waited, so that killed time. I made sure the cream was all off my legs once i'd finished and my legs felt smooth. I was worried about getting itchy, red legs which is quite normal for me after shaving but it didn't happen which makes me very keen to use the product again! I didn't think the tube would last long but you don't end up using much, i'll be able to get 2 or 3 more uses out if it, at least. over all the product exceeded my expectations, and I would use it again, and recommend it to my friends. I'm not sure if I would buy this product myself, as I think its a bit expensive and shaving is much quicker.

Tips: I found it easier to put the cream on the back of the curved spatula and run it up your legs, its much cleaner and much cleaner!
I have used this product many times over the years. I have a love/hate relationship with it though.
I have used this on my legs, underarms and upper lip.
I hate the scent of all hair removal creams, they are just too strong for my liking and they can be a messy product to use sometimes also. The consistency is a typical cream, not too thick nor runny and easy to apply on your skin.
On my legs, this product seemed to only work in certain areas, I would have to reapply and wait again which was a hassle so I stopped using it on my legs. However, on my underarms and upper lip, it worked great and had a lasting affect. I generally would use it on my upper lip every fortnight and once a week on my underarm area.
I did not have any reactions to this product and it left my skin feeling soft and smooth.
I have repurchased this product for my daughter to use on her underarms and she is happy, I however, probably will not use it again as I prefer to wax or use my epilator now. Ladies with sensitive skin might find this product perfect for them though.
Veet Hair Removal Cream does exactly what it says it will; leave you with hair-free, soft skin. Using this cream you can say goodbye to razor irritation, and hello to soft, smooth skin! It is very effective at removing most of your hair and is a quick, pain-free process. This being said, I would not use it as my primary method of hair removal.
For what it costs, Very Hair Removal Cream does not last very long. Like with shaving, your hair starts growing back immediately so you have to repeat the process again in a few days. It also takes a large amount of product to achieve consistent, even hair removal. This means that the tube of cream does not last very long so in the long run it is much more expensive than just using a razor.
I would use this as a special occasion solution when I really want to avoid any visible razor irritation. In the mean time, a razor is just as effective and less expensive.
I used Veet consistently for nearly five years (before I got lazy, married and decided shaving was easier), and it mostly did an excellent job of getting rid of hair in my more .... sensitive .... areas.
Easy to apply, the texture was quite thick, so it didn't run into those ... sensitive .... areas. I used to read NW whilst waiting for it to do its thing, then using the spatula I'd whip off the product, the hair coming off easily, then I'd shower to get rid of any excess - and to try and remove the smell, because I didn't find it all that pleasant, quite chemically. Oh and that smell, it does stick around for a day or two - so ladies, if you're using this product for hair-removal in the hopes of surprising your significant other (IYKWIM *cough*), use it two days beforehand, otherwise peeeewhew!
Only had one bad experience and that was when I applied it on my armpits - I ended up in all sorts of agony and had to sleep with ice-filled flannels under them overnight just to ease the pain.
So does it work on sensitive skin? Mostly. Would I use it again? If I wasn't a lazy old married woman, definitely. Do I recommend it? Yes, but not on your armpits.
This hair removal cream sort of worked but sort of didnt, it got off most of my leg hairs but there were still a few left behind that the cream couldn't get rid of. I left it on for about 5 minutes so I will be trying it again for about 8 minutes to see if that does the trick. Left my legs feeling very moisturized though which was great
Tips: Instead of 5 minutes keep it on for the longest time it says which I think was about 10 minutes to be sure all thos little stubborn hairs have been removed
This stuff has been around for a long time right? My Nan and I had a chat about it, she said she use to always use it back in her day. I don't usually get to lock my self in the bathroom for a set amount of time because of my little one, and this is a product you really need to keep away from little ones. So, when I found the time for a private shower without interruptions I gave it ago. It worked, it didnt sting either. So yes, it does what it says. It past the test! I did have a couple stray heres left I had to get with a shaver but it def saved shaving cuts from rushing to shave in a short time.
Tips: It's very straight forward and easy to follow directions
Ok I have super sensitive skin so this still didn't really help with that at all. It did the job and removed hair, but there were still a few patches present!
I still found the smell wasn't pleasant! I would use it again but it's annoying that it costs $16 but doesn't go far at all!!
My first impression upon getting this product is that it came in nice packaging. More often than not, hair removal creams come in packaging that are too bulky or are encased in hard plastic making squeezing and getting enough product out impossible. This came in a pastel coloured, malleable plastic tube which I appreciated.
It has a pleasant scent that I doubt a lot of people would hate, it smells fresh mixed with the smell of every other hair removal cream.
The texture is very unlike any hair removal creams I’ve ever used, it’s smooth and is reminiscent of a fast absorbing lotion in terms of how it feels on the skin.
I tried in on my underarms and my legs. I’m not brave enough to try it on my bikini line but it is possible to use the product on that area.
The product claims to:
Provide smoothness for twice as long as shaving – I don’t believe that’s true. My underarm and leg hair grew at the same rate it would if I had shaved them.
Works close to the root – I’m a bit iffy on this statement because it was true for my legs but not for my underarms.
Works on short hair – this clam is definitely true, it did work well on my leg hairs which are short and fine.
You will have “silky-soft, cared-for skin” after using it – this claim comes from the fact that the product contains Vitamin E and aloe vera and I do agree with it. I have sensitive skin and it seemed to leave my legs and underarms softer.
Hair regrowth feels softer – I also agree with this statement, my underarm hair is thick and as it grew after using this hair removal cream, the hair felt softer and less coarse.
So to recap, I do love and semi dislike certain things about this product. It definitely works but I wouldn’t go and rush out to buy it when it’s gone. I think it’s your bog standard hair removal cream. It wasn’t great but it did its job and my sensitive skin wasn’t irritated in the slightest. This is a great product for someone who wants to try out hair removal creams for the first time.
Tips: I do not recommend the spatula it comes with. I thought it was a good idea but I found the rubber end of it to be too hard for my skin. As you use a depilatory cream, it not only starts to soften the hair but also your skin and can make it sensitive. It works well for my legs but not for my underarms.
Personally, although this product removed the hair effectively, I did not enjoy the days after as the hair began to grow back. I had trouble with ingrown hairs and it grew back too quickly for my liking. Wax all the way for me now.
My first beauty reviews trial! I was super excited to get this in the mail, and wanted to trial it the best I did, and that's what I have done!
I first trialed this product on my arms, (yes I hate hair on my arms) however the results weren't super impressive! I left it on for the right amount of time, and when I started to take if off, my arms became very red, however this slowly died down! I found it did half the job, and I ended up tidying it up myself as not all the hairs were removed!
I then tried it out on my legs, but decided this time to use it when my legs weren't so hairy, and the results were better! It left my legs nice and smooth, and most of the hair was removed, which was a better result than before, also not as much redness this time!
Overall I think this product is good, but it does require a little patience and time! I don't think its something I would use all the time, partly because you do have to wait 5 minutes, and I like to get my hair removal over and done with faster than that! It also seems to struggle with removing hair when it is thicker and more of it, so best use it on shorter hair!
The smell is also a little off putting, I have no idea how to explain it, but its not very pleasant!
I think i'll be grabbing for this product when I feel like having a pamper session, however won't be something I use often!
Tips: Use it on shorter hair, and make sure you leave it on for the right amount of time!
I'd test it out, and find out what area it works best on for you!
