CURL SECRET CERAMIC AUTO CURLER

I have very straight, fine, thin hair, so I've been obsessively using curling tools since I was a teenager. My current curler of choice has been a VS straighter with curved plate edges, but I am very happy to say this automatic curler has blown it into the dust.

It took me a little while to get my head around how to use, but once I got the hang of it it was surprisingly quick to do my entire head. I also tend to get a bit impatient, but having the tool tell you exactly how long to leave the curl heating for is amazing for those of us who perhaps do some sections longer than others! I also found the direction change options really useful as I like to have my curls going away from my face on each side. I think my favourite part would have to be how difficult it is to burn yourself with though, as the heated barrel is on the inside. It also means you can put it down on a counter after it's done and not need to worry about burning the house down.

The only thing I thought it didn't do very well is smaller pieces of hair, like curtain bangs, so I will keep my straightener on rotation for bits that are smaller or need a bit more precision, but overall this has quickly become a valued tool in my arsenal.

Its an amazingly easy device to use and does a real professional job. It heats up quickly with no fear of any burns as the heat inside the barrel. It gives beautiful curls that last not only all day, but overnight too. I experimented with all the 3 types of curls, tight, loose as well as wavy and found the wavy and the loose curls look the best on me. I found it a bit difficult to curl the hair at the back and needed my daughter’s help, but the end result was wonderful. I absolutely love this gadget and recommend to everyone for a lovely professional look.

I would not have believed it, if I hadn’t tried it. Easy, flawless curls! Actual curls!! I myself, have never been able to curl my hair and I cannot tell you how effortless this magical curler is.

Begin with clean, tangle free hair. I practiced curling my hair in various sections and while up in a high ponytail. Simply turn the curlers on, choose a heat setting (5 choices), choose the type of curl, choose the direction for your curls and away you go. The curl options are wavy, loose and defined. The curl directions are left, right or alternating.

I have long, thick hair and chose the heat setting 210c. I tried all choices of curls and directions. And I am starting to have my favourites. The curlers have a safety automatic shut off and also a memory function resuming your last curling session. Very clever.

To use, place small sections of hair (you will determine how much) into the plastic slot of the clear chamber that covers the ceramic barrel and press start. The curlers gently twist your hair around the ceramic barrel and after 3-5 sec the curler beeps for you to release. You simply slide the curler downwards to release your hair. You are left with beautiful, bouncy curls that have a lot of body and plenty of waves.

It is as easy as - hair goes in and a curl comes out. Once hair cools, I comb my curls out with a wide tooth comb. My curls last until I wash my hair.

The ceramic barrel is protected with a clear chamber, so there is no risk of burns. And you can see all the action while in progress. The boxed packaging comes with helpful pointers on the outside of the box and instructions on the inside. I found watching clips on You Tube and Instagram very helpful as well.

I am blown away that I can transform my own hair in minutes!

What a handy device to have!

You can curl your hair with ease, defined, loose or wavy. The longer the time the tighter the curl!

You have a choice of direction, left, right or alternating depending on the look you desire.

There are several heat temperatures to choose from though I didn't go higher than 180°. It's in the manual explaining the temperature and whether to comb, brush and shake your curls etc.

This tool heats up fairly quickly and I love the barrel cover which protects you from burns and is also a guide for your hair. I found it best to section off your hair in smallish parts so that you get the best curl as it won't take too much and will beep to let you know that it won't accept it.

When you guide your hair in make sure the right side of the barrel cover is firm against your head and hold your hair down then push the button and it will wind better and once it beeps it's done creating a gorgeous curl. Keep doing this till you've curled all your hair.

This has a safety feature to prevent fire and the cord is a good length plus it's travel friendly.

This did not chew my hair and is perfect for those of us that can't curl with a straightener.

What a fabulous curling tool. I have used many hair tools over the years and this would now be my new go to for fast long lasting curls. I love that it’s not too heavy, you can choose the direction and curl type and it’s sooo fast!!!! I have medium length fine hair, sectioning small and starting at the nape of your neck working to the top works best. It definitely took me a few goes to get it right but once you get the hang of it it’s easy. Having the anti tangle that stops if it’s not right is great peace of mind. The curls lasted easily all day without dropping. Because my hair is fine even the wavy mode goes quite curly. The tool itself looks glam, buttons are easy to use and they light up too. Being able to watch it while it’s curling is cool and it’s great you can’t burn yourself like you can with a straightener or curling wand. It has an auto turn off after 60mins if you forget to turn it off. I highly recommend this tool.

Wow wow wow is almost all I want to say. Just loved this curler.

The package is a great colour really loved the purple colour. The box is made out off a very good quality product and not just a flimsy cardboard. The curler itself is also of a good quality product and really liked the lightweight it is, as sometimes the curlers or hair tools can be a bit bulky and heavy. The curler heats up fast so no long periods to wait for it to heat up. The instructions are well written and easy to understand and follow. I played around with it at first and tried ALL the different curl patterns and just loved how the curls came out. I also used it on my natural hair without straightening it first and then straightening it and then curling and have to say the results from the second was much better curls then using on natural hair. Although it did take me while to do as I have thick hair, but still half the time it took with my previous barrel curler. My hair came out shine and not dehydrated and that was a good result The curls also seems to last a little bit longer as my hair tens to nit hold curls for long, but with a little hairspray it worked fine. The barrel you place the hair in did what it had to and did not pull any hair out or damage your hair. The ONLY thing I found a bit annoying was the Start button was a bit “sensitive” and found myself pressing that in between.

Found the curler to be very effortless and easy to use.

This curler is so quick and easy to use. It is great when I'm in a rush and need to head out the door cos I can get beautiful curls very fast! If you need convenience, this is a great addition! I love the way my hair looks afterwards, it looks professional, not like I did it myself. I find VS Sassoon a reputable and trustworthy brand.

With 3 different curl settings 5 different heat levels And the ability to change the direction of the curl with the push of a button. It makes curling your hair so easy. I curled my whole head in just 10 minutes! That's right TEN MINUTES!

It did take me a few tries to get the hang of how it works best for me. But once you have the hang of it is the best.

Also if your hair gets jammed it auto rotates back bit making you hair not get fully jammed. The plastic outer piece comes off to whichever makes it easy to clean.

Only thing I would say is I'd like a curler with a fatter barrels for wider curls maybe this could be the next invention.

I was so excited to try the VS Sassoon Curl Secret. From the very first piece of hair, I curled; it did not disappoint. It exceeded my expectations in so many ways. It really is like magic. My hair came out perfectly curled every time. My hair has never looked this good! I love it so much, that I can’t stop telling my friends, family and work colleagues about how good it is.

The curler is very simple to use. There are 3 buttons on the curler. One to turn the device on and change the heat setting, another one to change the curl type and a third to change the curl direction. The fact you can change the curl direction to either left, right or alternating, by the simple press of a button is a game changer. It really does simplify the curling process. You place your hair in the slot, press the button and the curler does all the work for you. It can't get any easier.

Inside the box with the curler comes an instruction sheet, which I found to be helpful. It is concise but comprehensive at the same time. It gives you some useful hints on what setting to use for different types of styles (e. g. Classic curls vs Glam curls).

I would highly recommend the Curl Secret to anyone that wants perfect curls every time. I had never really mastered curling my hair; however, this device now makes me feel like a pro. If you struggle to curl your hair, or find curling your hair a bit intimidating, this curler is the one for you. It takes all the hassle out of curling your hair.

I have very thick straight shoulder length hair and I love me a good beachy wave. i'm am pretty good at curling it with the straighteners but i've always been intrigued about how well a dedicated curly tool would work, and well...consider me impressed!

The device is light and simple to use. You just select the direction you want the curl to do, the tightness of the curl, slide a chunk of hair in and... voila! Out pops the curl. What I just love about it too is that the curl really holds well. It took me no time at all to whip around my head and I am hooked! i've had a number of compliments about my hair since I started using it and I wish i'd been in on the secret years ago.

It's smart enough so if you go to put too much hair in it doesn't jam so you don't need to worry about that. The only slight down side is that the main button is super sensitive and it's easy to knock it on but it's no biggie. I absolutely LOVE IT!
