I purchased this a couple of months ago as the bottle looked nice and it was on special (around the $4 mark) the shampoo gave my hair a good clean, it lathered nicely and i found i didnt have to use two washes to get that clean feel, the conditioner smelt nice and made my hair nice and soft... for a start, i found myself having to wash my hair everyday as the conditioner ended up leaving my hair heavy and greasy, i must admit it doesnt take much for my hair to feel like that, but not usually that quick. Im not sure i would use the conditioner again (my hair is super fussy when it comes to conditioners!) but i would recommend it to people that have normal hair (that isn't fussy) as i think for the price it would be a great deal!

For the price I paid, I'd say this is not too bad. It smells good, which I tend to go for, and surprisingly did leave my hair feeling smooth and shiny. I have to be careful when buying hair products from the supermarket because I've realised that my hair is quite dry and a bit damaged too, so I have to get something that targets more than one hair/scalp concern.
I have brown, shoulder length curly hair. My hair is very damaged and I am yet to find my holy grail in hair care. I tried this recently as I wasn't a fan of the original vo5 but as they had redone the line I decided to give it a go. I noticed this is a lot thicker than the original one which I thought was watery. This new one also smells better. It didn't dramaticly make my hair silky or shiny but helped with combability. My hair still looked frizzy but then again my hair is severely damaged due to medication which ruins my natural proteins in my hair. I rate this overall as average. Its not bad but I'm still searching for my dream shampoo and conditioner.
On my latest trip to the supermarket I picked up this duo of shampoo and conditioner from V05. I don't know if it was the pink packaging or the fact they were on special (or that I could review them on here), but they found their way home with me.
The packaging for these is pretty standard. Just you usual squeezy bottles. The lid does fit quite securely though so I do think I would be comfortable travelling with these. I really do like though that the shampoo is pink and the conditioner white. It means even without my contact lenses in that I can spot which one is which.
The shampoo lathers really nicely in my hair. It smells a wee bit like vanilla which I love. And even though it lathers nicely it doesn't strip my hair or make it feel dry. It hasn't caused any extra knots in my hair either. I've been using it in conjunction with the conditioner which is also quite nice. It has a wee bit of a sweeter smell which is still pretty nice. It leaves my hair feeling really nicely moisturised and with no knots.
This range sells itself on providing softness and gloss and I really feel that it does that. Even though I don't think I have found my holy grail shampoo and conditioner yet I do think I would repurchase this again next time I find it on special.
Not bad for a supermarket brand!
I bought this when it was new out - the pretty packaging caught my eye. I have naturally fine, curly hair that can end up rather frizzy on humid days. So I thought why not try this product.
First of all, I love the packaging. So girly and fun! It really does catch your eye. It smells nice and I found the smell did last a little while in my hair. Not too overpowering but it was definitely there once my hair was dry.
The shampoo and conditioner itself was a good consistency and foamed up nicely. I preferred the conditioner to the shampoo - but this is usually the case with my naturally dry-ish hair. I found the conditioner to be quite moisturising and made my hair feel super soft and looking slightly shinier.
Overall, if I were to buy a supermarket brand shampoo and conditioner I would buy this one. Like anything, it didn't make my hair "celebrity-worthy" shiny, but it did make it softer and slightly smoother.
Tips: Comb through the conditioner when you are in the shower for an extra soft finish!
VO5 have done well with their great new range of products and pakaging, This shampoo, conditioner duo left my hair feeling smooth and easy to manage, shampoo lathered up well and for a supermarket product I think its great, dwnside for me is that the I have only seen One bottle size which is a bit small for my growing family.
I just finished both this shampoo and conditioner, and I have to say that I was pleasantly impressed! I have very long (waist-length), thick hair that isn't damaged but does tend to get a bit frizzy on the outer layer (hopefully that makes sense!).
This range, while not completely eliminating frizz - and I have yet to find a product that does that - definitely made my hair smoother and less frizz-prone. And it wasn't too heavy for my hair; it made it feel clean and healthy.
As I got towards the end of the bottles I did find that it my hair started to get a bit greasier more quickly (I usually only wash it every three days), but I experience this with most shampoos and conditioners - my hair gets used to them after a few months.
The only thing I'm not too keen on is the scent - it's quite floral/jasminey, which is not my thing, but it wasn't outright unpleasant. In general, though, I prefer slightly sweeter/fruitier scents. So that's something to bear in mind if you are sensitive about scents.
Overall: inexpensive, and does the trick nicely! I can see myself repurchasing this in the future once I've used a couple of different shampoo ranges so that my hair isn't used to this one anymore.
For a start, I love the packaging. The bottles are super pretty and are shaped like bottles, rather than those brands that have upside down bottles, which I am forever dropping on the shower floor. The shampoo and conditioner have a lovely light floral scent and it leaves my hair feeling ridiculously soft. I have curly hair and it definitely reduces my frizz and makes it easier to straighten. Will definitely repurchase.
Tips: Comb the conditioner through your hair with a conditioning comb for smoother results.
I remember seeing these shampoo and conditioners featured on tv. I'm not normally one to jump at an infomercial but this time I wanted to give this product a try. My past experience with V05 was as a child. After all these years I finally go a chance to try this. I had a look for it at my local supermarket and I was lucky to find it there. I've noticed not many supermarkets do stock this in my area.
These Shampoo and conditioners come in 500 ml bottles. A decent sized bottle that can last a few weeks. I get so irritated by small bottles, because they never last me long and then I have to return to get another. This bottle is a bright hot pink /fuschia coloured bottle with the VO5 labelling on it. The texture of the shampoo is a shimmery liquid and lathers really well. The conditioner is smooth and silky . The scent smells mildly sweet not overpowering at all.
This shampoo lathers up really well in my hair. I find it surprising that it wasn't dried out after shampooing. That normally happens because my hair is thick and frizzy. The conditioner feels smooth in my hair. After I've dried my hair out it didn't frizz out. I was so surprised by that. I think both items are worth buying for their price. I have enjoyed using them and I definitely would use them again.
An ok duo but not if your truly needing smooth hair, I found it really did do that much for my dry and curly hair unfortunately. Cheap enough but not for me.
