Wild Ferns Manuka Honey Purifying Toner Review

I have never been a fan of toners. I don't use them, I find them too time consuming. This toner smells lovely and it feels really nice on the skin, I would highly recommend it to those who love a good toner or to those who have oily skin. But personally I won't repurchase any toner because I find it takes too long to apply. With 3 kids I only have time to wash and maybe moisturise most days. Nice little toner though. Wish we could buy large face pads for toners then maybe I would use a toner everyday. Will be so much easier to apply.

1. PACKAGING: Product is packaged well inside a box that features clear print and an effective design. The Product itself is in a heavy duty plastic spray bottle, which the spray nozzle sprays an even fine mist. The bottle is well printed with everything you need to know about the product.

2. THE PRODUCT: Like the Cleanser it contains a lot of beneficial ingredients, the main being pure New Zealand Manuka Honey. Still has a strong fragrance which is not what some people typically like in their skincare. The solution is like an other toner but I love that its in a spray bottle form as it makes it alot easier to use and you can control how much you need unlike some brands toners which have the tip/ pour option which can lead to wasting of product as it is not as easily controlled.

3. HOW TO USE IT: Every morning and night, after cleansing my face I would apply 3-4 sprays of the toner onto a clean cotton round. I then gently start swiping across my skin making sure to avoid the eye area. I let the toner settle before applying any further steps.

4. MY FINAL THOUGHTS: Out of the 3 WILD FERNS Manuka Honey Range that I got to try (TY beautyreviewnz) this toner is by far my fave and something I would most definitely will go and purchase time and time again. Even though I am not keen on heavily fragrant skincare items, if I believe that that product is making a difference to my skin in the way in feels and looks I will continue to use it. I also love how its so simple to use with the spray bottle. And it leaves my face feeling clean and well hydrated.

I loved this product!

The packaging was lovely with a great mist spray which delivers a decent amount of product. I used by spraying on to a cotton pad and wiping my skin. It also has a sturdy lid which I like for travel. It is pretty with the clear plastic and yellow liquid.

The scent is refreshing, not quite as 'orangey' as the facial wash, I felt you could smell the honey in this one.

For the trial I used this in conjunction with the facial wash and I was amazed at how much dirt it removed from my skin after using the wash, it was incredibly satisfying! I also used this alone on really hot days and it was a wonderful way to refresh my skin mid day! I decided to test it with my regular facial wash as well and again it removed a good amount of left over dirt (although not as much as with the Manuka Honey Facial Wash). My only slight and picky observation is that it does leave a slight residue on the skin, this did not bother me and is pretty typical of toners but worth a mention if you hate that.

I highly recommend this product, I have used a lot of toners and this is my new favorite. My skin looks refreshed and glowy after using and I certainly noticed a difference in pore size on my checks after using for a few weeks. LOVE IT!

​First impression: What I noticed was the strong smell. It’s quite a strong scent, but thankfully it does fade. It’s not a horrible smell, but it’s not the most pleasant. I love how it’s in a spray bottle and it dispenses quite evenly so you don’t need to spray a lot on your face (even though I do, heh). It does suggest to spray onto a cotton pad and wipe that onto your face, but I only ever do that with exfoliating toners and either spray or pat it straight onto my face. I usually spray about 5-9 sprays so I'm quite generous with the application.

Review: Out of the three products from the skincare regime, the toner would hands down be my favourite. It did not break me out or irritate my skin, and all the products I put on afterward sunk in so well and didn’t react negatively. After awhile I even got used to the smell which actually became quite refreshing. I believe my skin became smoother and supple, and I just love how well my skin lapped this up! I also believe that it has helped minimise the redness and PIE on my face which is one of my major skin concerns - I think this is due to the wonderful combination of the aloe vera, witch hazel, and of course, manuka honey.

To conclude, I highly recommend this product. I think it is an excellent hydrating toner. It's refreshing and helps other skincare products sink into your skin. No negative reactions whatsoever, plus also minimises redness and healing your blemishes! Highly impressed with this product.

I received this for the team at beauty review. The toner comes in a handy spray bottle and works great with re freshing my skin or removing my make up. I love the fragrance and the fact that my skin felt so hydrated after using it. I'd definitely come back to this in the future.

I really enjoyed using this product, it smells great and I like that it is a natural New Zealand made product and uses Manuka honey. I had no reactions to using this product when I have really sensitive skin. It is a great product to use after cleansing and before applying a moisturiser and I found it removed dirt off the skin, light makeup and made my skin less greasy.

I am so pleased i got to trial this because i have totally fallen in love with it. first of all i love that it is in a spray bottle. Makes it so easy to apply. It says apply using cotton balls but i just spray it on my face then use cotton balls to evenly spread it around my face. absolutely love the smell. It is one of the stronger smelling toners/regimes i have used but the fragrance is lovely so i don't mind. My skin is so love and soft now i have noticed and is so clear. I am really impressed.

The smell of the product was ok, not the most favorite of fragrances for me but not something I wouldn't put on. When applying the product my skin gave a tingly feeling for a few seconds which indicated that it was working (this is not often felt with a natural product). The toner made my skin feel clean and refreshed. I would use this product again and will be continuing to use it as it has helped with my acne prone skin considerably over the few weeks.

I remember trying this toner a while ago and I liked it. The smell is nice and toner does make me feel refreshed. It helps remove any excess makeup that I have left after cleansing. I didn't notice any difference in pores though. Overall I would recommend!

I havn't used a toner in years so I was was excited to review this product and see if it actually makes a difference to my skin.

The first thing I noticed is that it comes is a spray bottle which made it so much easier to use and apply. I also noticed that it has a very subtle scent so people who a sensitive to scents may not have a problem using this product.

I sprayed a decent amount onto a cotton pad and wiped my entire face with it and even though I had cleansed before that, the toner removed even more dirt and left my skin feeling refreshed, clean and smooth. The refreshing feeling definitely helped me stay cool this summer.

I would definitely recommend this product to someone looking for a good toner thats affordable but also good quality.
