I was blessed to receive this product as a gift and have recently been using Elizabeth Arden. I love the perfume I was using by Elizabeth Arden but was in need of something more subtle and natural for everyday wear.Firstly, I have to say the packaging is so cute and definitely suits the fragrance. The fragrance itself is of a light floral scent that can be worn all day. I have received so many compliments from changing my perfume to this one and will remain a true fan to Dior. I wear this everyday and it lasts almost the entire day. I am very happy given the quality of this product and the fact that it is not overpowering is a bonus.

Absolutely love this. First time I have tried and I will not buy anything else. This is a beautiful floral fragrance which I often get compliments for. Definately worth a try. Worth the money.
I received this as a birthday present from my boyfriend and it is just beautiful. I fin this to be quite a mature scent and I tend to lean for it mostly I'm winter. I find it lasts all day on my skin and I always receive compliments when I wear it. The bottle is so beautiful and feminine. I would recommend this perfume to women who enjoy heavier scents
This is one of my all time favourites! I was given a little set of dior perfumes years ago and this was in there. I have been buying it ever since. I find it very sweet and girly. People ask me what I'm wearing all the time.
I love this light floral sweet fragrance - it's not too overpowering and definitely very fresh. The scent lasts well. It seems to be very common however, a few of my friends have it and I often smell it on the street - the fragrance doesn't seem to change much per wearer. I like to have fragrances that are a bit more unique!
I'm a sucker for a beautiful perfume bottle and this is gorgeous. The fragrance is so nice too and people often comment when I wear it. I got a bottle for myself and a few months later for a friend for her wedding day perfume. She loved it also.
I recieved this perfume in a mini gift set with 3 other Dior perfumes.
Miss Dior was by far my favourite. The bottle is so cute and sweet especially in the small size and I loved the look. I also really enjoyed the size as it was small enough to fit into my makeup bag or purse for use away from home which was a plus.
It lasts mostly all day and was a scent I would wear on an everyday basis, I would wear it to school and eventually the smell just lingered on my scarf that I wore everyday so some days I wouldnt even need to apply as could still smell on my scarf from the previous day.
The scent was more of a sweet floral girly tones, but very fresh and feminine.
The price however is very high, I think its a good quality perfume and I really enjoyed the smell, however I wont be purchasing again due to price.
This is where things are going to get confusing:
The picture at the top of this review page is of Miss Dior (the perfume formally known as Miss Dior Cherie, originating in 2005)
The notes described at the top are of the 1947 'Miss Dior' which has no resemblance to 'Miss Dior Cherie' other than the name.
The 1947 Miss Dior is now known as Miss Dior Originale. It comes in a different bottle to the perfume formally known as 'Miss Dior Cherie'(now known as Miss Dior).
Like all other Dior perfumes, the notes themselves have also undergone change alongside the name change. When Miss Dior become Miss Dior Originale, the number of notes have been reduced. I can't comment personally on whether the 2011 reformulation/name change version(Miss Dior Originale) is similar to the old Miss Dior as I haven't tried this.
My review is of the bottle I own which was before the name changes (and therefore, it was still known as Miss Dior at this point and was pre-reformulations that occurred in the '00s).
Miss Dior (1947 perfume line) is a very old fashioned type of scent.
The oakmoss and aldehyde notes are strong in this, giving it a vintage perfume feel. The bottle itself adds to this idea of a scent from a bygone era with it's classic houndstooth design.
I can't say I find this stands out amongst other similar types of chypre scents such as Chanel Cristille.I think these just aren't really my cup of tea in terms of day to day wear, and so I don't have as much appreciation for the subtle differences in notes between fragrances in this genre
I do find that I prefer this to Chanel Cristille though when I am in the mood for something that feels old fashioned.
Tips: This is definitely a winter scent. It might be appropriate for day time wear, though it can be headache inducing if sprayed too liberally
I have recently purchased this perfume after trying a sample of it. I was very excited to finally purchase it, it is a beautiful blend of floral without being overpowering. It blends in well with my skin type, and is really long lasting. Once it has been on my skin for a while it has a slight musky scent that blends in with the floral. It is a really girly floral fragrance, unlike my normal fruity fragrances. The packaging is gorgeous! It looks lovely on my dresser. It's a lovely classic to have, and I will definitely keep this as part of my collection.
Tips: Match it with the body lotion and body wash to make it last longer
This perfume is more sweet and fruity than many of the other perfumes both by Dior and other brands. I think its sweetness makes it more desirable to younger women. The packaging of the perfume is appropriately feminine and youthful feeling to match its users, which is something I personally like. Half of what you buy is the packaging and at that price I want to feel like my perfume bottle is elegant and stands out next to cheaper brands. I also found the bottle more user friendly than many other brands I have tried which was a relief. I also felt the price was competitive, not cheap, but not awfully expensive either. I could be wrong on this, but I think this was one of the perfumes where l'eau de toilette was noticably lighter than l'eau de parfum. I prefered the lighter l'eau de toilette.
