e.l.f Zit Zapper Review

I struggle a lot with annoying one off pimples. The type that pop up in certain areas on my face one at a time and go bright red for days. Before purchasing this product, I had been using the old 'use perfume to dry out your pimples method' but had found that it really wasn't good for my skin. I found this in store for $5 and thought it would be worth a shot. When you first open the lid and take a whiff, the smell isn't too great, but with it containing a lot of pimple fighting chemicals you can't really help that. The product has an easy to use roll on top so you don't need to carry around q-tips to apply it. It's a nice compact size, great for shoving your bag on the go. I find that after a couple of hours I start to see my pimple sizes reducing and a lot of redness goes away.

I initially purchased this months ago, tried it once and didn't see a result so threw it in the back of a draw never to be used again! Then I completely forgot about it until rediscovering it the other day following a massive skin break-out, and decided to give it a second chance.

The formula itself is a clear liquid with quite a strong smell which could be the camphor. Although it looks pretty unimpressive, I find the packaging is really functional and a fantastic, compact size which is perfect for taking away. The roller-ball style tube is perfect for a no-fuss application, and the clear plastic allows you to see exactly how much product is left. I applied this at night after cleansing and toning as a spot treatment to individual spots, left it to try and followed up with moisturiser.

The next morning I was amazed at the visible reduction in the size and redness of the pimples. After a couple of days they had cleared. This is a great result, especially with such an affordable price tag and I'll be repurchasing it.

Omg so this morning I woke up with 5 really big, red pimples that came out of nowhere, all on one cheek. Luckily my Elf order had arrived on Monday so I got to put it to use!

I washed my face, used a toner, and applied the zip zapper on, followed by a primer and no makeup. It is 9pm now, and by goly THEY ARE GONE!! Gone I tell you. I am so amazed!

I have used 3 different spot trick zapper things and none of them have ever worked like this.

It has no smell, is clear and doesn't create a sticky film substance across the pimple and dries within seconds.

It's very small perfect for a makeup purse or on the go in your handbag. It has a nice, sleek and clear design so you can see when it is running out, and also clear on the skin.

The only thing I worry about is that it is a roller ball applicator, which is convenient yes, but germs are transferring onto the roller ball, which you later roll onto another pimple, transferring all that bacteria.

I bought this awhile ago and really like it. Its easy to use, a handy size to put in the handbag and cheap enough to buy a couple to have on hand at all times.

It has a roller ball application which I really love, and makes it so easy to apply. Feels great, does the trick as I have noticed that pimples have reduced the next day. I only apply it at night as I don't like to put anything over the top of it.

The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the smell. Its not necessarily unpleasant but its not a smell that I would like to smell all the time, so bed time is the best time for me to use it as I'm asleep he he he.

I bought this after reading the reviews on here and i can honestly say WOW! I havent had a bad zit since buying this beautiful product. It smells delicious, like eucalyptus. It completely takes away the redness and reduces the size of my pimples overnight. I put it on the minute i think that a pimple is coming up and it just is magic and takes it away instantly. I cant even explain how amazing this product is. I loved how i could actually put it on a pimple during the day as it dried clear and you couldn't tell i had pimple cream on. The roller ball on the end made application VERY simple, easy and quick. SUPER cheap and so worth the $5! It also lasts a very long time as you only need to use a tiny bit at a time.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago from my local Kmart, and since using it whenever I have breakouts, I have noticed a big difference. Firstly, the size is great- not too big, not too small. I really like the roller ball applicator, as you just roll it on to your problem areas without the need for Q-Tips. The smell is quite strong, and at first you might find it a bit overpowering, but you get use to it after a few uses. Now to the main part.. how well does it really work? Well I have used quite a few pimple 'zappers' over the years, as my skin has always been quite problematic. And I found this to be the best I have ever used. I apply it twice a day, usually once early afternoon when I get home, and another application when I go to bed. The packaging recommends 3x daily, but I think its about personal preference. Since using this product, I have noticed my pimples go away almost instantly, because of all of the fantastic pimple fighting 'chemicals' in the product. I find it too drying to use it too often, so only use it when needed. Overall, a truly great product- good size, affordable, and does exactly what it says!

now i admit i dont get many pimples, but when i do i feel like only a paper bag can hide the monstrosity. now i didnt actually believe this would work but i thought for the price why not .

pros: easy to apply , cheap , does seem to work ( although not instantly , i did see improvement)

For $2 off iHerb I thought "why not?". This is super handy to have around the house, whenever I get a pimple starting to pop up I use this and it definitely reduces the size of the pimple and drys it out.

There is a decent amount of product in the tube, I can see it lasting me a while. Well worth $2 anyway. To apply the liquid there is a roller ball on the end which makes it very easy, although when you open it for the first time it's a bit difficult to start the ball rolling.

I would definitely buy this again, great value for money and good at killing pimples.

first of all I have to say how cheap this was, only $2 of iherb wow!! I thought elf stuff were cheap and bad quality but they are cheap and good quality. Lower price dosen't necessarily mean the the quality is lower. The thing that caught my eye for this product was that it contained Salicylic Acid, which is apparently very good of getting rid of pimples, zits etc. I put this on before I go to bed on any pimples that are red, and then next day the redness has definetly gone down, but for me it dosen't get rid of the pimple. The smell isnt great but it is on a rollwerball so the smell isn't overpowering

I absolutely love this product! I admit, I am one for 'popping' my pimples :/ but this product is brilliant at drying them up and taking them away in just a couple of days!

For the price of it ($2 off iherb) it is an essential to grab! It has quite a lot of product in the tube, which is easy to see when you are running low because it has a clear tube! the tube its self is sleek and thin which makes it an easy product to take in your handbag or any make up bag. it has an easy roller ball applicator, the applys the product straight on the area of worry.

The formula is a little bit thick and dries into the skin within 2 - 5 minutes. Although it does have quite a strong chemical sent that may be a little off putting.

Apart from that i love this product! It reduces my zits in a few days and is an essential skin care item :)
