ELF Zit Zapper

I purchased this product off iHerb.com

Consistency- This product has a liquidy which made it more difficult to apply directly to the target area without applying to surrounding skin also.

Application- This product had a roller ball which made application rather easy but due to the liquidy consistency it made it a little bit more difficult to apply directly to the target area without applying to surrounding skin also.

Fragrance- This product had a strong fragrance similar to other acne treatments I have tried, once dried on the skin it was unnoticeable.

Coverage- A small amount of this product goes a long way.

Usage- This product is very economical as it is super cheap to purchase and one tube will last a very long time.

Price- This product is definitely cheaper than other acne treatment products I have tried.

Packaging- The packaging of this product is great for how inexpensive the product is. The packaging is a small clear roll on.

Results- I used this product every day as a spot treatment for around three weeks, I don't feel this product did anything for my skin.

Skin type- I have very fair combination, blemish prone skin. I get an oily t zone but other areas of my face often get dry.

Repurchase- I would not repurchase this product I have tried many other products that were way more effective than this one. I don't mind spending a bit more money for quality.

Tips: Purchase off iHerb

Did nothing for me

I get spots and will try anything to get rid of the little suckers. The zit zapper comes in a small tube with a rollerball. I don't really like the idea of this as I feel it is really unhygienic. I prefer to wash my hands then roll some product onto my finger then dot onto any spots.

It can be hard to get a lot of product out which is annoying. It smells really strong but it disappears quite quickly. I haven't seen any amazing results while using this. There are much better products out there for sure. One thing I did notice is it didn't dry my skin out which is great.

I see a lot of people rave about this but everyones skin is different and it just does nothing for me. It is cheap as chips to buy so if it doesn't work for you it is not a big loss.

Doesn't work for me

I've had this thing for a while around 6 months I guess, haven't reviewed it till now as I found it hard to tell if it was actually doing anything at all. I don't get pimples very often but whenever i've had the odd one pop up since i've had this i've used it, applying directly to the area several times daily.

As far as I can tell this does nothing for me, no reduction in redness or size. Even if I try to zap the zit with this as soon as it begins to appear, it will still form every time and live out it's full cycle no matter how often I keep applying this stuff. It doesn't seem to affect my skin in any way, no drying, stinging or stickiness, pleasant enough to use and has a slight menthol smell.

The roller ball applicator I don't like the idea of as it's probably going to be dragging the bacteria from the sore back into the product..gross. On that note i'm going to chuck this now, only paid $2 for it so no biggie.

Tips: I notice this product is highly rated here and there are a few like me who it didn't work for, so it's probably just one of those things where results vary quite some. You can get this for $2 @iherb.com so you might as well give it a go if your interested, as others have said it works wonders for them.

zit zapper

I brought this to try treat my break outs. But felt it hasn't worked as well as i had hoped. It has work on minimizing the size but it doesn't full treat the zit. I felt the roller design a bit hard to use. I found it hard to get out the producy and it was unsanitary and spreads the bacteria.

Tips: Take the roller and apply using a clean finger works alot better.

Not sure if it works

I had high hopes for this product after I was recommended by a friend. The only good point for me was the price, at least I didn't waste a lot of money. It didn't really do anything for my spots that I could tell, though the product smelt promising a slightly pharmacy smell I saw no change in my spots. The reddish remained the spot didn't seem to go down any faster than if I put nothing on it.

Maybe I just have stubborn spots i'm not sure. The product is cheap specially if you get it from Iherb and the amount you receive is good. But not sure I will replace.

Didn't do much for me

I've had high hopes for this, but sadly it didn't help me at all. Nothing reduced when using this: redness, size or pain of the pimples. Later I've found out that products with salicylic acid do nothing for me, no matter the percentage or the product type, so that might be the main problem. In the first days I've used this like 3-4 times daily on my pimples with no results, after a week or so I gave up and I'm left with 3/4 full of product, which will never be used. It was'nt a real waste of money as it is really inexpensive, sadly it just didn't work for me. I liked the small tube it came in, but the roller to apply it with was an interesting concept, not sure it is very hygienic and sometimes no product came out, so I've had to shake it a little and it was just annoying when I just wanted to get ready quick in the morning and also needs lots of time to dry, so consider that in the morning if you'd like to use moisturizer/makeup.

Tips: It helped lots of people, so just try it out, it might be working for you too. It's not expensive, so won't be a waste of money if it turns out the other way.:)

Don't expect a gentle ride to clear skin

There's nothing gentle about this product. Of course it works very well, but you'll feel where you put it.

I have acne prone skin, so can break out in patches on any part of my face. Applying this to a larger area is very tightening and drying. Of course this can be exactly what a big pimple needs, so stick to spot treatment, don't use on non-blemished areas of your face. It causes dryness and slight redness.

Another friend who's used this couldn't tolerate it at all. Her skin went blotchy and red and she said it burned an hour after applying it.

This does all it says it will, but don't expect a gentle ride to clear skin. Note: I don't have even vaguely sensitive skin. Oily and resilient all the way.

Tips: Stick to specific spot treatment, don't use on "normal" skin! Ouch!

Hard to tell

I have quite bad acne on my face and thought i might give this a go, but i couldn't really see that much of a result ! i think this product may be more suited for people with clear skin who get the odd blemish but for those who have a higher degree of acne i feel that something stronger is definitely needed !

Tips: I applied before i went to bed and also in the mornings after i had moisturised under my makeup !

jury still out on this one

After seeing this product on beauty review i decided to give it a go. I got it for $5 at k mart. I havent seen any major difference in my zits as yet. It doesnt smell offensive but i do have trouble getting it to come out onto the roller ball. It hasnt dried my skin out which is good but i would like it to dry my pimple & it doesnt seem to do this. I will continue to use this product to see if it works but i am wondering if i may have a faulty one.

Helps brings zits to a head so they go away faster

The Zit Zapper is nice, small and easy to pop into my handbag so I can zap zits during the day.The packaging looks classy for its cheap price with a pretty silver font on the cylinder. However, I dislike that the zit zapper is applied via a rollerball as this is very unhygienic and could spread bacteria from zits onto other parts of my face. The zit zapper smells quite strong, a bit like toner and it is difficult to get the rollerball to apply the product to the zit, it takes quite a few tries which can be very frustrating. However, I have used this when I have had large nasty zits pop up and this has helped to bring them to a head much quicker so they can be popped and done with. The reason why I have given this a rating of 2/5 for doing what it said it would is because it did not reduce the redness of my acne, reduce swelling, minimize my pores or make my skin any clearer, it merely helped to speed up the process of getting rid of large cyst like zits. I would use this again though as it is inexpensive and has helped me to deal with large zits. It can be difficult to tell sometimes though if the zit just healed itself or if the product made the difference.

Tips: Only bother applying to large zits, it doesn't seem to do anything for smaller zits or problem areas such as the T-zone.
