I find this perfume is too sickly street. It is a sickly vanilla scent and many of my friends favourite perfume saying it smells like licorice. Personally I find this horrible it is too sickly sweet. Personally I find this is not worth its expensive price. But this is an unpopular opinion as many people love this rich smell. It is, however, a long-lasting perfume and is well made in that regard. The packaging is really nice with a classy look.

I was not a fan of this perfume, I found that it was a very mature dark smell. I am fan of brighter smells I suppose and this one gave me a sort of a headache! Yes it is a strong smell, but I found its staying power isn't that long which I didn't mind because as I said I didn't really enjoy it. I was given this as a gift by one of my girlfriends, but gave it to my mum who suited the smell more and she loved it!
It is a beautiful bottle that looks quite distinguished, I received it as a gift the smell is quite sweet you would really have to like that kind of sweet to enjoy wearing this perfume. Have to say I will never purchase this again. I have not had one comment on how nice it smelt before and I have been wearing it for 2 years, I have had it for so long because of the fact that I have at least 6 or 7 different perfumes in my perfume drawer at any given time.
Tips: Really make sure that you like the smell before you buy it not for everyone...
I received a sample of this at Myers in Australia. Personally I cannot find any resemblance to the original Opium in this fragrance whatsoever. To me this scent smells like a love child of Black XS, Flower Bomb and Jovan Black musk. A fruity-patchouli. I was worried when I saw coffee mentioned as a note as personally I don't want to smell like a beverage but I didn't notice it. I did get some berry notes, leather/suede, burnt sugar and patchouli but nothing wowed me about this. The bottle on display was also covered in glitter which personally I found quite tacky. I would have expected that this may have had a more oriental base hence it's association with the original but like the Belle variant which was released a couple of years ago this is a completely different scent geared towards a modern audience. Too overwhelmingly sweet and burnt sugar smelling for my nose. If you delve in expecting a scent like the original opium you are bound to be disappointed.
