Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Pure Color Lipstick Review

I have a mini one of these lipsticks in the shade Le Orange. The packaging is very glamorous. The lipstick case is oblong and square-edged, and completely gold. The “YSL” emblem is engraved on one side in black. It is very nice and smooth to hold.

The lipstick itself is a creamy, thick, satin formula, which goes on opaquely. Le Orange is a bright colour, but the pigment is strong. The colour does not bleed and stays on well throughout the day. Because this is a creamy formula, there is some transfer, and you do need to touch up after meals. The lipstick has a pleasant, mild, and floral scent. It feels moisturising on the lips, and is not drying.

If you are looking for a luxury lipstick, then this one is worth looking into.

I have this lipstick in shade 58 it’s a beautiful purple and definitely fits in the bold lipstick colour category. The lipstick bullet is really nice. It’s a square gold container with the YSL logo on the front. The lipstick has YSL embossed on the front and the all of this combined really makes it feel like a luxury product. The lipstick formula is really smooth and very highly pigmented. I only need to do two swipes/layers and it’s a really impactful full colour. This lipstick stands up well to general wear throughout the day and I only need to reapply or touch it up after eating. The formula is great for my lips and isn’t drying or irritating at all. If I don’t use a lip liner this does bleed a little bit along my bottom lip but it’s really not that noticeable and is easily fixed. I really enjoy wearing this lippy and is one of the very few brands and types I would repurchase and get a few from the range of. If you want a great quality, low fuss lippy this is a great option for you.

All I can say is that.. love it, love it, and just love it... feels really lite and airy on lips. Very smooth and easy to apply and smell is just fabulous. Quite long-lasting, no need for reapplication even after eating.

This was another of my impulse buys based on vanity and stupidity (sigh). This is my first YSL rouge pur couture lipstick after having used various other YSL lip products. I've always had a good impression of YSL and this is yet another amazing lipstick.

I have a deep plum colour with a hint of maroon. It suits pale skin so well and looks royal an mature. The finish is semi glossy but not shiny. When I look at the lipstick carefully I can see little speckles of purple shimmer but when it's on my lips the shimmer is more like a subtle sheen.

It's not the best to be wearing if you're planning on drinking or eating a lot as it does transfer a bit and being dark coloured it'll start looking messy. But then again would you wear a $50 lipstick when you're going to eat? The wear is good though if you're not putting food in your mouth. I hardly ever have to reapply it and it doesn't feather out or sink into the lines on my lips.

When I wipe if off there's quite a stain left behind. It makes my lips look dark pink but this colour comes off easily with a bit of coconut oil.

Recommend this if you're wanting to buy a sophisticated, luxurious high end lipstick.

I had this in shade Beige Tribute (lost it after ahh) and it is the most incredible lipstick! So super creamy and buttery, also moisturising. Love the formula so much and the colour is beautiful. Not sure if NZ has Beige Tribute as I bought it in paris, have tried to repurchase since but Farmers never seems to have it

This is a beautiful lipstick. It is very pigmented which means that it lasts for a very long time and it feels light, comfortable and very moisturising.

The range of colours is very good and I particularly like the coral red shades.

This lippy is in my top favourites! A superstar product!

This is the softest, most comfortable lipstick I have ever owned. The packaging is to die for. It's a very solid gold rectangle with YSL embossed on the outside. Inside, is the most pigmented, easily applicable product I've come across. This lasted well for a few hours with eating and drinking and left a slight stain on my lips that looked like I had been eating berries which I adore.

It only takes a quick swipe of product and its on. Definitely very moisturising on the lips and doesn't have an overpowering smell at all.

Gorgeous gold packagin, it makes it feel so fancy! Haha :) the texture of this lipstick is amazing, creamy, moisturising and gives a shine to the lips. It's very moisturising and looks great on! The formula is opaque (you only need a few swipes) and the red I have is a gorgeous colour! In all honesty I think it is a little too expensive for what it is, I mean it's more expencive than mac and I don't think it's better quality/ pigmentation than macs lipsticks. Id stick with cheaper lipsticks that you can get more out of Great staying power and would look great on everyone! :)

The packaging alone, makes this one very sexy and sophisticated lippy! I have this in Le Rouge, which is a blue based, true red. Very vampy! The formula is ultra creamy but it does have an average staying power.
