Wow! Haven't used this gorgeous scent for many years but it is a classic favourite fragrance. It is sophisticated, womanly and mysterious inspiring an intense feeling of glamour. I am such a fan of "old school" perfumes. 5 stars (or Lips!) from me! :-)

Tips: Use sparingly....it can easily be overpowering....and dress to kill :-)
I was given some of this fragrance for Mothers Day by one of my daughters...and I love it! In the floral aldehyde family, it opens with a really fresh burst of citrus, geranium, aldehydes and green notes, before developing into the floral middle. I smell rose and iris which are two of my favourite floral scents. In the finish, (which by the way lingers forever), are the softer notes which are woody, creamy and slighty spicy, such as sandalwood, vanilla and amber. It makes me feel awake and really fresh. Its like I've just stepped out of the shower all day!
This is another gorgeous fragrance from Yves Saint Laurent. A very feminine smell and another one of my favourites and I have a lot of favourites lol. My Mum uses this one and gave me some to use a while back and its definitely a gorgeous fragrance. If you like Cinema, you'll like Rive Gauche
Tips: Don't apply too much as this one also has a strong fragrance, little is good, lots becomes overpowering but not in a bad way, like some fragrances can like Musk or Opium.
This takes me back about 30 years when I was 10 and its the first perfume that I liked of my mothers. I use to sneak into her room and have a quick spray, I never got away with it as my mother could smell straight away, so for my 11th birthday this was the 1st perfume I got given. She still has it to this day on her perfume shelf, and yes when I visit I have a quick spray lol Beautiful Love the floral with a hint of musk
Inspired by the Left Bank of Paris where all the cafes, night life and fun is, was how this fragrance was marketed. Has it stood up to the test of time. A floral aldehyde it has passed from generation to generation. It was hip cool then. Wow a perfume in a can in the 60s. What about now? Yes it appeals to young girls wanting their first fragrance that is soft subtle and easily transportable. I wear it and imagine striding along the Left Bank of the Seine River in Paris. Very much a classic for all ages.
Tips: Same fragrance family as Chanel No. 5 and Arpege.
My mother has been using YSL Rive Gauche for 25+ years and I find it to be quite a comforting fragrance. I have had a sneaky spritz or three of hers in the past and I loveee it! I think because I associate it with someone more mature, it's not something I'd use regularly at my age (23) but I think as I get older it'll be one of my go-to perfumes, for sure!
