I’m a bit of a horror when it comes to fragrance. I can’t seem to go through one bottle before I’m onto the next. I guess you could say I’m always on the hunt for my “signature scent.” The frustrating thing is that I really love “Provocative interlude” – very similar to “Provocative woman” – but I can’t find it anywhere!!!
I’m currently using “Ange ou demon” by Givenchy. I bought it duty free in a long haul daze. So given I didn’t really know what I was doing at the time I’ve never been completely convinced. People often give me complements about smelling nice – a highly motivating factor for sticking with it.
Given that I can’t actually smell my own perfume on me beyond my initial spritz in the morning, does it really matter that I don’t love it 100%?
Any ideas for other perfumes to try???

Time to buy a new fragrance?

I am just the same - always on the hunt for a new fragrance and I am currently going through a search at the moment! I think the process is just as important as buying the perfume. I'm not sure where you are - but I find the perfume on offer at Farmers is a good one as the ladies always seem to know their stuff (especially at Albany). Go at a time it isn't busy, so you can try on heaps without feeling like a pain. And maybe have a think about what kind of scents you like, so you can tell them to narrow down the choice. I know that I like quite deep, 'masculine' scents, and ones that have solid vanilla notes. I suggest getting them to spray them on cards (and write the name on them) then walk around the shop browsing, occasionally sniffing each one. You will probably start to eliminate a few from there, and the two or three that you do like, get them to spray them on you. Go home, and sniff an hour or so later. Haha what a long winded reply, but I know I have bought perfumes in haste at a shop because I thought I liked them, but got them home then realised I really didn't like it! So now I make sure I dwell on it for a little while especially as perfume changes from the initial spray to the base notes that are the ones that stick around for the rest of the day. I would love to live vicariously through your purchase! :-) Haha.
Me again! Haha. I just googled the fragrance you said you love, but can't find.
It has information on the top and base notes - so that might help with your hunt for a new fragrance. :-)

VINTAGE MUSE KATE MOSS PURFUME! This purfume is devine. It's not a very well known purfume in my opinion so it would be great for your 'signiture scent.' The bottle is a purple square classy glass, jewel type bottle, very vintage looking but the purple adds a modern twist. (big fan of packaging) The scent is rich but not thick or overpowering, rich is the way it's scents top notes are plum, rhubarb, cream and more, the scents is balanced out with subtle floral, musk, and chocolate. One spray of this purfume and it takes me to what I think is so 1920's-30's. Sexy and Classy.
