what are your favourite ethique (previously sorbet) products? I'm thinking about doing an order. I'm going to get the sampler so I can try a few of their products first. The sampler is also 2 for 1 until Sunday as well if any one is interested or is looking at trying their brand. I know some people aren't fans of ethique/sorbet, but as the brand has been temporarily taken off BR at their request I can't check any reviews, so would love to hear of your favourite products. Thanks.

In Your Face cleanser and Damage Control shampoo are musts for me and i rounded out my sampler with Guardian conditioner, Pomegranate Polisher scrub and Frizz Wrangler Shampoo.

I've tried Bombshell and gorgeous fake tans... botj great but I prefer Bombshell. Wonderbar and Superstar werent my thing, nor were the butter blocks. Bon Bon smells great but is fiddly. The soaps are lovely

Im enjoying St Clements and Heali Kiwi for my hair.  Unfortunately In your Face didnt go well for me. Wonderbar was nice for shaving. Minute Manicure was nice and hydrating on my hands and feet.

This wee sampler pack seems like such a good deal, especially since it is 2 for $20. Might have to look into it and see if anything intrigues me. I haven't tried anything from the brand before

Tempted but as I wash my hair only once a week and just bought a new conditioner I don't really need anything. Pity, as I do want to spend some money haha

I love frizz wrangler and the guardian and used my sample of the bombshell the other day- super impressed. Will be purchasing a full size when it comes back in stock! I didnt love the pomegranite scrub bar (not gritty enough) or the butter block (too greasy) personally.

it's a great deal, and the wee sample bars last a good couple weeks of daily use. Total bargain <3

Shaz, you are so lucky to only wash your hair once a week! I am lucky if I can get two days! Jealous...

I've been tempted by these, I've never tried any of their products before but have seen the not so great behavior of the owner. Hopefully with the name change,  comes a change or better service too?

I've only ever had amazing service from Ethique/Sorbet... i know the story from here but struggle to visualise it because they've been exemplary with me... just wouldnt want to see people make a decision based on the negative when for me buying from them is positive

Yeah that's what put me off buying from them in the past. However, I have decided to give them a go (I do love supporting NZ brands) and I ordered a sample bar last night, I requested some of the products mentioned above so hopefully I receive some of them so I can try them.

Is there any way someone can find out exactly what "happened' with the brand? I dont want to stir up drama, but I believe in being an informed consumer and I vote with my wallet, and this is a brand I've given strong support to in the past, so I feel like I need to know whether to still support them or not based on whats gone down. Apologies if its inappropriate to bring this up, not trying to rekindle dramas just wanting to be informed, thanks.

Artemis there is no manual way to delete a double post, it happens to all of us at some stage, sometimes its 3-5 times posted hehehe.  The BR babes who moderate the forum will clear it up if it needs to be don't worry about it.

I recently grabbed one of those Ethique sampler kits to give them a whirl, I did try something of Sorbet a long time ago so want to refresh my mind and the sampler seemed a wonderful idea.

Oops, I see!

Yes, I think I've figured out the situation now :) Their products are good, and maybe what occured on here was a temporary lapse in judgement. I don't believe in making excuses for companies, but I've never heard anything negative towards them, and I've followed Ethique from its very start, back when it was initially called Ethique actually! (before it became Sorbet), so I'll keep an eye on them.

Artemis there is mention of it in the forums. FWIW I've never had anything other than amazing service from them and I back the range 100%

That's interesting Artemis, I didn't know they were originally called Ethique to begin with. My sampler arrived the other day and I'm excited to try some of the products.
