Me too Trudijoy! But I'm preparing myself for it just in case... In fact I don't know if I will last the whole month :P But I promise not to show it on social media.

I've already seen a couple of shared pics where people had opened the boxes and showed the contents - in the bags but I don't even want to see that. I don't understand the logic behind sharing something other people are getting before they've had a chance to enjoy it. Seems a little...something. Selfish? Lacking in thought? Inconsiderate?

Not sure but I'll be opening my pressies each day BEFORE i go online and NOT sharing until the dat after, personally.

I would be keen on seeing an unboxing aswell! Totally understand why you ladies would hate for your advent calender to be spoilt, but I guess everyone has a way they like to enjoy thier advent calenders. I hate to say it, but the safest way to go without a spoiler might be to avoid social media for a bit (I know, how can i even say that).

Binary going without social media for december isn't possible on any level. I guess i expect too much when I expect people to respect other peoples rights to enjoy the product theyve ordered as intended. Anyone who buys something intended to be opened over 25 days, opens it on day 1, photographs it and uploads the photo where it has the potential to ruin it for others is inconsiderate and selfish. The end. I actually think the whole 'just stay off social media' slant is sad. Its sad that we've come to accept a selfish and inconsiderate act as so normal that those of us who wouldnt consider it end up being told to stay offline. Anyone spoiling things for me will be challenged on that. Its about time people were called on it

Totally get that social media is hard for some people to stay off, personally instagram is my weakness! But yeah, I suppose people just love sharing things in their life that excite them, and might not realise how its gonna affect other people which sucks sometimes aswell. Even with a few spoilers, I bet its still gonna be an amazing calender to open each day!

Its got nothing to do with an inability or a weakness to stay off social media. Its christmas and telling people to stay away from the main way they have to communicate with friends and family round the world at xmas because of someone elses failure to respect people is crazy talk, in my opinion. Being excited and wanting to share is no excuse. If you wouldn't call someone you knew had one and tell them ahead of time why put it online?

I have an advent calendar from my sister in laws company. I still know very little about whats in it despite actually picking up product for her and being there when she opened boxes. And of what I do know I've told noone. Its about being respectful. Day by day i understand but opening it all in November and spoiling it? No

Honestly Trudi, I didn't mean to make this a big deal.  I am just saying that people share whatever they want to on social media, weather they should share it or not is a different story. And I certainly wasn't 'telling' you to stay off social media.

Anyway, I'm off to go and enjoy the beautiful Perth weather, Have a lovely weekend.

Can't wait to open mine either Trudi, this is my present to myself for my birthday and can't wait to open one little pack at a time on the right day.  I also hate having everything ruined but yes some do get a little excited and want to post about it, some don't mean to, but some do like to take the enjoyment and excitement away.  I try not to go on social media when I know people are posting things but it is a wee bit hard to do that as my business is somewhat reliant on social media and how I interact with my customers.  Fingers crossed there are no spoilers.

One thing I do find a little weird though is why would you open an advent calendar all in one go when the point of it is to countdown the days to Xmas by opening a little something, I'll never know lol. Your sister in law is so lovely to talk to, she's so passionate and super friendly xx

I got my 2 advents today as they were delivered to Kirstyj. I was in no hurry to get them as I'm a shocker for peeking! I haven't looked at the back of the L'Occitane one and I haven't even taken the tie off the beautiful Christmas. I saw a few spoilers of BR box and scrolled faster past. Hopefully I don't see any with these. The way I see it those opening it at once ruin the fun & surprise, if they choose to post the excited post of spoilers they could potentially miss out on sharing the excitement of others opening the same day. Like we can't discuss the fragrance or colour or whatever with each other as others open as they are intended. I won't be grumpy with those people for their excitement, I'll smile inside knowing it's fun drawing it out for the month.

We went and brought a whole tree of new Christmas decorations, had whittakers-lover here with Christmas carols and wine decorating the tree. Feels like Christmas is coming and the joy of amazing friendships is a good feeling as well

Doesn't look like they have run out yet (takes 2 -3 business days to get to Dunedin but that would just mean more fun opening it when it arrived)

I've heard that hand cream is amazing. I'm so tempted to buy the magazine even though I only ever read magazines when I'm sitting in the doctor's office.
