Well the virus has struck and I'm amazed it took this long considering my job. So I'm rugged up in my swing seat under cover listening to the rain and the glorious song of a bellbird while doing some reviews.

I have a sore throat and ears, sweaty, sneezy with an irritating cough other than that I'm fine. It feels like a bad cold so far.

Hopefully all of you have avoided it so far :-)

Hope you heal and it passes soon.

No covid in my household yet. But the more people get it, the less anxious I am about contracting it myself if that makes sense.

Sending healing vibes.

ive avoided the 'Rona so far but after a week of feeling yuck and testing daily as negative and then a week of pain (I thought I pinched a nerve in my neck) I ended up at the doc.

turns out my eardrums are infected. One badly, one mildly. Holy crap the PAIN... some of the worst I've felt. Every angle I held my head at was agony for about 5 days. Do not recommend

So true AboutFace - enjoy the rest.
I hope you get well soon Trudi. People are sick with vomiting bugs and normal winter colds around here, more so than covid.

Thanks ladies. I felt like I was being beaten up from the inside last night, it was terrible. It's a bit better today so I'm hoping the worst is behind me. I hope no one else gets it.

I agree BeautyGirl  - the headaches were terrible. I'm just glad to be recovering. I've met some people who haven't recovered after months and that is very very scary. I mowed the lawn this afternoon - if I can do that I can do anything :)

Glad to hear you're improving Maree, it can be worrying not knowing how our bodies will react to it especially when you know others that have ongoing issues.

Thanks AboutFace. I still have no taste or smell but apparently that can take weeks. Last day of isolation today and I really could do with another week. It's flown by. What really surprised me is that I haven't bought anything for 9 days (which shouldn't be a big deal really but I usually visit a shop at least daily) and I haven't missed anything. It's made me really think about how much money I waste for no good reason. Food for thought so to speak ... having said that, I do recommend being prepared all the time for something like this. It really helped me having Dimetapp, lemonade, and some soft sweet food. And I really didn't need much more than those.

Hopefully your taste and sense of smell return for you Maree. I took more than the 7 days off as I still wasn't up to it.

It's amazing how much we accumulate though with the earthquakes we need to be prepared.

Yes that's something people could be aware of AboutFace - lots of peole are not well enough to return to work after 7 days. I'm ok today but I still don't want to go anywhere.

I hope you are feeling better soon, MareeB. We are home isolating now, as my youngest has covid. She is doing ok so far, it is day 3 and she hasnt been as sick as I was worried she might be. I know it can change over time, so fingers crossed she stays that way. Hoping the other 4 of us can avoid it, but its a cosy house so not sure how that will go!
