Keeping dirty blonde hair looking clean

For those of you with dirty blonde natural hair, and exercise most mornings - how do you keep your hair looking clean?

I do HITT class or run most mornings, so I sweat a lot. My hair is quite oily anyway, and this darkens the colour of my hair (so much so that an old flatmate used to ask if I'd dyed my hair every other week when I was only washing 2 x a week).

I want to wash it everyday because of the sweat but I know that's bad. Rinsing with water only makes it feel cleaner but still looks dark. A hairdresser suggested ACV rinses which make my hair soft but then I smell subtly like vinegar all day. Dry shampoo is OK during the day but irritates my eyes if I sleep with it still in.

Is there a secret I don't know about or do I just need to get over my hair looking darker 5 days a week?!

Perhaps try chamomile, you can google how to use it.

I don't like dry shampoos as they make my scalp itch .Toners work well on blond hair to lift the colour so worth a try.

Yes, chamomile is a great idea.

I alway rinse my hair with white vinegar. It reduces dandruff and makes my hair soft.

Thanks for the suggestions team! I will try the lemon and chamomile. Purple toner shampoo kind of stuff makes my hair go darker overtime as it's my natural colour (learnt that the hard way). Any tricks to cover up the vinegar smell post-shower? I've been using ACV but maybe that's worst than white vinegar.

White vinegar has a lighter smell but you could add some lemon to it

Normally the smell of white vinegar dissipates.
