Auckland, freezing my toes off in bed watching the Kardashians while my baby brother sleeps. Thank Goodness Dad came home with more firewood ;^; Would love to head down to Taupo to go snowboarding though.

I had plans to head down south but the roads are currently blocked by snow. Now I need a B plan. It was so cold last night too. My laundrys so damp.

Taranaki bang smack under the mountain. Hello minus weather. No snow, but it tried to yesterday! Doesnt help where I live the weather is completely different to the rest of the region ie could be sunny 30 mins away but it'll be raining at home, and vice versa! Going to make hot chocolate and do my scratchies and coloring :D stay toasty!

Im in Napier, Hawkes Bay. Quite rare for it to snow here. Had a wee bit yesterday, didnt settle at home but on the hills its another story. Roads blocked all the way to Gisborne and Cant get to Taupo either. I would of loved to go check out Taupo over the weekend.

Last 2 days here has been minus figures, given me chills as my office is poorly heated and mega draughty. So tucked up under a warm blanket this afternoon feeling much warmer apparently it's still minus figures outside though
I live in Queenstown, surrounded by snow and lucky enough to have two ski fields in my back yard. I agree, it's cold  :-)  x

It so is! Its lovely to be warm and cosy with the heat pump turned up and a hot drink. It's pretty cold for auckland, I don't remember last winter being as chilly. But sure it's so much more colder in the South Island!

I didn't know Jojoba oil could/would freeze!

I'm so cold down here in Dunedin. I hate how hard it is to get the motivation to get up in the morning. I keep snoozing for an extra 10minutes because I dont want to get out of my warm bed. Can't wait till tomorrow just so I don't HAVE to get up.

I thinks I will be hot water bottle tonight as Auckland is a little bit nippy.
I can say however what stinks about apartment living is no fire place so I have a unsexy oil column heater.

I'm a newbie and can't see anywhere to introduce myself. Apologies if I am in the wrong place.
The sun is shining here in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Monmouthshire, Wales, UK.

If I want to read threads in Skincare etc., how do I access them?  I've tried the normal method of double clicking but to no avail.

I live in Auckland, and it's just my great luck that out of these 2 weeks, it's been assigned for me to be at work by 8am on Friday and Saturday. Left the house this morning at 7.30 and my lawn was pure white. At least there are toasty warm heaters at work!

Must be super freezing for Auckland to get a frost! I thought that was unusual for Auckland....
Christchurch is very cold, however the sun is shining today!!!
Have had the worst week with snow flurries, huge amounts of rain and icy wind... disrupted a Kitchen install in the Hills so it's cost us and extra $200 for delivery costs... grrrr _ I think I need to start charging a contigency in winter... or just refuse Hill installs lol

Welcome LinF!

Oh it is cold in Auckland! I just recently got back from Murupara (Not far from Rotorua) and it was so frosty down there, a different type of cold compared to Aucklands cold but we were lucky my nan has a fire that is constantly burning, I wish we had a fireplace , I love the smell of burnt wood.

Just had to share my cold related story of the day, which is also a I hate Mondays story.

But I went down to my car and went to defrost the windscreen with warm water... and my windscreen cracked. Lesson of the day for everyone else if you didn't know (like I didn't) that you should put cold water on your windscreen first then warm water if you need it. ARGH!

Oh no, I've always wondered if it was true if you put warm water on a windscreen :S. Hopefully the worst of the cold is over!

I'm just looking forward to taking delivery of my new set of wheels next weekend! YAY! I'll also have working air conditioning! It's been so cold up here. My brother kind of did the whole pissing contest thing that it's colder in Christchurch than Auckland etc, but its never, ever been this cold here before. We live close to Ardmore and the weather station at the air strip stopped updating its website back in February so I can't even read what the temperature has been.

We do leave our ensuite windows open a fraction each night as we get hideous ventilation problems (I was about to say our place was new, but I've just realised its 10 years old!) and I found my Bossy Oil Cleanse had started to conjeal in the bottle. Warmed it up and it came right. Even my Dr Bronners has gone cloudly in the cold.

I'm looking forward to the wet weather coming through. This cold is giving me terrible asthma and is also making it really, really hard... okay, impossible, to get up early to go to the gym. Plus it makes all the metal in my knee really uncomfortable.

another -4 drive to work today. Luckily we have great air con & it's pumped right up to 24!
the last few mornings it's been good to go out, start the car up with the heater & fans turned right up & demister on for the back. Come back 10 minutes later to find it all clear & ready to drive to work. Today the window wipers were still a bit frozen tho. Looking at all the ice on the footpath, it's definitely not walking to work weather.

Still cold with an arctic wind that must be minus something.
Coastal Otago ofter frost free but this year we are having proper frost, snow and hail.Too cold and my skin is really suffering.I am keeping my handcream in the lounge so it is easier to get out of the tune and so I remember to use it on my poor hands.
If yo uare cold those fine merino base layers are brilliant too with the only down side being going to a mall where its already hot .
