Cornbread muffins sounds interesting.

No idea what I'll have tonight. Something simple. I've had too many toasted sandwiches, pasta dishes and omelettes recently.

Butter chicken tonight. Was supposed to be ham steaks but im too cold and the sides for that are effort.

And not the piddly ham steaks from the supermarket either lol these are real ham steaks the size of my head! And are actual ham! Not whatever they pass off as those circle 'ham' steaks haha

it's my order-in (if i want to) night and i'm so tired i couldn't decide between the two things i really wanted and my workmates are a bad influence and long story short i have mexican AND pizza on the way.  The mexican is literally just chips and guac, with a churro.  The pizza i had free delivery on so i justified it that way.  Not even sorry though and i'll defo have leftover pizza tomorrow.

Haha it was damn delicious too. As predicted lots of pizza leftover but worth the double order.

after a week that's involved 3 languages, presentations in two countries and conversations with two others and our National maaori  competition in which we had 12000 students from 409 schoools competing (they answered 5 million questions) and still having  my normal work to do, I declared that nothing has calories tonight.

I had a real bummer hole day at work so came home and had hummus on water crackers and brie. Oh ...and the usual Friday liquid refreshments.  Feeling better now

Mmmm crackers hummus and brie sounds good. I've been having rice crackers and pesto after work at nights this week, cos I've been working both jobs. Tonight I had a big green salad between jobs (halo) but then had mashed potato, sausage and gravy at work (pitchfork).  The sausage mash and gravy were divine tho ....

My mum was hosting a birthday event for her grandson and I was invited as i'm the biggest baby with no kids lol. Food epic as always.

Dinner options consisted of: cheeseburger sliders, hot chips, nuggets, chicken bites, minus, chicken thighs, pizza and chop suey.

Dessert: ice cream, jelly, chocolate cake, chocolate log, cupcakes and fruit platter.

My mum always goes all out for the kiddies.

I've  been cooking all afternoon today! I made a big pot of stewed Apple and pear (combined), a batch of chicken and vegie pasta sauce, and I currently have a bacon wrapped spinach and cheese filled chicken situation, roast vegies and gravy in various stages of the cooking process for dinner

lisa panko is sooooo much better than standard breadcrumbs! I love mixing it with parmesan too, makes such a tasty crust on chicken

It's the first time I've used Panko. I wasn't mad at it but it was just lacking a little flavour but parmesan is a good idea!

It also responds beautifully to adding a bit of seasoning (eg onion salt) and a tiny bit of oil mixed in before you use it to coat things, makes it crispy and tasty.

i also usually put herbs in the egg and that flavour pops through too

Darn didn't see any new chocolate on my supermarket visit today.

Did try the L&P lumps last week. I quite liked them. I also tried the new Arnotts biscuit combinations. They were a bit boring I thought.

For dinner tonight tried making my own healthier version of 2 minute noodles. They worked pretty well and only took about another minute.

My sister got Pizza Hut delivered to my house last night. Appreciated that.

Tried the l &p lumps last week. Still prefer the original. Keen to get my hands on the Pinky Cadbury if I see it while shopping next. Haven't heard about the new Whittakers. Whats in that?

Pork belly was amazing! Did roast kumera, spuds, yams, pumpkin and parsnips, corn cobs and peas with gravy! Put some pumpkin on his plate and he snuck it on mine when I wasn't looking lol. But at least he ate peas and corn.
