I'm so behind on the chat! So busy! Work is a bit crazy. Hopefully I will get a bit more time soon. I noticed there's a new vault coming up soon. Is that normal to have one so soon? Hope you ladies are all well. I need to go to bed! x

Never made brownies will have to try sometime.

@Kat555: not usually, but the first one was delayed so this second one may have already had this scheduled date?

If its anything like my supermarket the sesame seeds will be in a packet in the same spot as the nuts in the spice/baking aisle lol

also try the japanese section/japanese stores.  I use a blend called 'Gomashio'  that I get in the Japanese store but there are supermarkets that have it in the Japanese section.  Gomashio is black and white sesame seeds with salt.

But yes Shaz is right, they're in with the 'baking needs' so the nuts, flour etc.  You should also be able to find them in the healthfood section, and some places will have them free-flow too.

I LOVE sesame seeds on things

That's what I thought but I've been looking the last couple months but have been unable to find it.  Not in my local countdown or freshchoice. Maybe I'll have to go to pak n save. I just avoid it all costs cause I worked there for 6 years back in the day. Dont like the look of it lol.

Was supposed to have takeaways this week but forgot to put it on the list soooo maybe next week hahaha and thatll be pizza, subway or maccas!

@shaz, if the chorizo is vacuum packed, just pop it into a bowl of hot water to defrost it quickly.  If not, tie it up in a freezer bag or pop it into a glad bag (squeeze out any excess air before closing) and then pop it into the bowl of hot water.

This trick works with bacon and sausages, if I've forgotten to take them out the freezer. I don't see why it shouldn't work with chorizo.

I would lovvvve a takeaway tonight but I'm too tired to go and get one. And I had horrible chips from Dominos for lunch. I still haven't had Maccas since before lockdown. I think I deserve a medal!

Haha silvene i do that with every meat i take out too late!

Sadly wasnt vacuum packed but threw it in hot water in its open packet, still defrosted in time. Added spinach and anchovy oil to the risotto and now im feelin fancy, but it was definitely the hug in a bowl i needed today.

Oh dear soozie - that puts my three months to shame then! when I did my fruit detox properly I had maccas one night after no junk food for two months and I was violently ill that time. So bad that I considered calling myself an ambulance. I've rubbish-fooded my way back to immunity now though.

Made my last hello fresh dinner tonight. Seared pork & creamy peppercorn sauce w/mashed potatoes and steamed vege. First time making mashed potatoes from scratch. Also that peppercorn sauce was so easy to make. Super proud of myself. Have never cooked a meat and 2 vege meal before. It's probably about time haha.

im going to live outta my freezer this week I think and run it down a bit so that I can batch cook some yum stuff. Tomorrow will probably be spaghetti bolognese (batch cooked sauce) and I've just taken out a wee tub of frozen stewed apple to do a crumble
