NBR/BR - New Years Resolutions

I'm not usually one for New Years Resolutions but this year I have two;

NBR - to cook something new each week. I have gotten lazy lately and keep cooking the same old stuff so the new year is going to be all about trying new (sometimes healthy) stuff.

BR - More clearing out for me! I want to have a collection I absolutely love and nothing more.

Would love to know if you have resolutions for this year whether NBR/BR!

I love the cooking one! Im pretty good in that respect. Mines pretty much to get back to goal size but be fit and strong rather than just skinnier.

Also i need to figure out a lifestyle for my new life

I've got my high school reunion in October so I plan to have an absolute banging body by then, all calves and muscles and well toned. Makeup wise, after just doing a clear out and seeing how much stuff I waste, or have and really don't like, I plan to calm the farm in that department and not buy stuff willy nilly and stick with what's been really working for me. So a banging body, perfect skin and perfect makeup -feeling hopeful? Lol.

NBR for me it's to get back to my pre baby weight and work on toning up my body again, I want to excersie more and more and more because I just don't! Even in Winter I don't want "it's too cold" to be an excuse. I'm unhappy in my body and skin and I'm the only one that can change that.

BR I want to stick to the skin care products that are working for me. I started this year by simply washing my face with water. I now have a acne treatment that works for me and my skin is so healthy. I have a moisturiser that's working for me. I have a night time and morning skin care routine and products that work. I need to keep at it :)

Trudijoy I love seeing goals not about weight. Our bodies do so much for us I think it is great to aim to make them stronger rather than just skinnier.

Ringy those are some pretty huge goals!!!

Amy hope you do well with your goals. Skincare is another one I want to work on, I'm off to my beauty therapist for a facial soon so I'm going to get some new skincare as well.

Exciting BinaryBeauty! Owning a house is really nice. Just so good to be able to do whatever you want to it. That should be one of my goals to do more around the house to keep it looking nice, and do the garden more.

I want to get healthier and be more active. Today totally doesn't count cause I ha maccas for breakfast lol.
I'd like to start working part time, more towards the end of the year.
Also I'd like to declutter our house of things we don't need!

Same as lots of other people - I want to save more/spend less this year, use up the mountain of products I have, and get much fitter in the hope I will arrive at a point where I have enough energy to last a whole day each day!

Thanks KirstyJ, I am a little bit nervous about commiting to it because its a huge step, and my first home (that i'll own) so its a bit daunting, but definetly something to look forward to. We are building so just deciding on house plans... eek!!

- I want to get my driver's license.
- I want to receive paid employment (currently volunteer) and have savings.
- I want to be content even if there's no one special in my life this year. (Broke up around the end of last year after being together for just over three years.)
- Makeup wise I want to perfect my winged liner, get better at doing precise lippy (I suck at doing a nice defined bold lip with liquid lipstick) and continue to add items to makeup collection here and there that I absolutely want.
- Bodywise I would like to lose the kilos I gained at the end of last year.
- Other things I would like is to get back in the habit of drinking lots of water and doing regular manis and pedis.

I like those Kirsty!
Ringy - Kirsty and I are coming to help you clean out all those cupboards and boxes of all things beautiful xx

Mine is easy
This year it's about me. Selfish probably but I don't care. I have managed to talk ACC into providing the proper rehab things I need. In the 8 weeks I have been doing the new treatment I can do heaps more without the hideous pain. My surgeon said I need to do 1 year of rehab to hopefully avoid more surgery. I'm determined to be able to say "I did it!"

Beauty wise I'm still clearing out makeup and keeping only the things I adore. I want to be able to pull of amazing makeup looks as well.

Oooh great thread hun x

NBR - Get my full drivers licence, apply for jobs now that study is over and done with, get fit and eat healthier.

BR - Try and use up all the products I'm not that keen on and only keep to my favourites and those items I know that work.

I need to get my NZ license- I'm still getting around on my Aussie one- I keep meaning to do it - I have until September this year to get it done so after my next hair dresser appointment I vow to get it done (when I have no roots visible!)

Mine are: To get healthier - drink more water, cut down the smoking, not drink so much alcohol & get more active. To get my Drivers Licence - I don't have one full stop! To save money & show my Partner that I'm worthy of building a house with. I'm feeling a new job could be on the cards this year too, so it's going to be an interesting one! I just don't want to be in the same spot I am right now.Things need to improve!

Glad to know I'm not the only person dragging the chain on getting their full license. 18 years on my restricted and counting... THIS YEAR... maybe... (can you tell I hate tests?)

I can't believe everyone and their drivers licenses! It's not that scary people (in saying that I was so scared I was shaking when I did my full test. And I failed it once, but I got there!)

Loving seeing everyone's positivity towards their goals for the year! We all can do it!

I'm on board with the license thing also! Got my learners when I was 17, I'm nearly 27 and still on it! Restricted here I come!

I'm really glad I'm not the only one still on my restricted.  I guess it's just a factor of hating tests, rather spend the money on other stuff and I only drive to the conditions now. I can drive my kids and partner so I guess there's been no real push to get it. I think the last few years I've been saying I'll get it but I actually really want to this year lol.

I think I'll go into business doing driver licence tesing..something tells me it may be quite lucrative this year heeheehee

Oh I'm not scared to take it, it just hasn't been on the top of my priority list lol. Restricted licences aren't as restrictive as they used to be when I first passed it, and everyone I drive with has a full licence or its just my kids in the car, so haven't really seen the need for it to be honest.  A job I am applying for requires a full licence hence the reason for my new years resolution he he he.

I plan of getting fitter and eating better being the main ones. Making a bigger dent in my mortgage is pretty important to. Get a different job at work is the main work one that I have in mind but passing my 1/2 year PDR is the first thing coming up.
As I got my drivers license out of a Weetbix box years ago I don't have that goal to share with others here.

I also want to get my licence! (and learn to drive.... ahem). It's been a resolution for years, now achievable since I bought a car.

Other resolutions are around my health - I exercise lots, but eat too much. I would like to fit into all my teeny jeans and bras again.

Hand in my thesis before the end of June.

Replacement only no buy - 6 days in and going strong! Use up stuff before buying more.

KonMari my possessions - get rid of extra clothes, shoes, household stuff, beauty products etc.

Save more money - I reached a milestone last year, and I'm aiming for another one now!

This year I want to shop my stash and not buy things that I don't need. I'm going to save money so I can go overseas again and I'm working on exercising and eating healthier (I've already lost 1.5kg just from changing my diet and exercising). I want to travel and be happier and healthier in my body.

Hows everyone going with their resolutions? I am doing well with mine. I am down 17kgs, have totally decluttered our house as we are moving towns and just passed my full license this morning! I remembered there was a thread on here with a few of us sitting on our restricted for ages and needing to sit our fulls. My goal was to get it before I was 30 but that was only 2 weeks ago so I think it is ok. Now I don't need to worry until I'm old, I so hate tests even though it wasn't even that bad.

Rezee you legend! I've still sitting on my restricted... 19 years later. Gulp. I keep promising myself that this will be the year to get my full, but I hate tests. The fear is real.

my body's a lot stronger and getting skinner and tighter. My lifestyle is really getting to a point i'm much happier with, apart from the big glitch of dad's passing to have to contend with.

In the remainder of the year I want to socialise and date more (a boyfriend would be nice!), travel more, continue to get my health, fitness and body on track, and keep on this path of learning who I am now, and rocking her.

Wha hoo Rezee that's amazing! My NBR goal um yeah what a fail! I am doing exercises around home but I am definitely not doing what I could be to get to where I want to be. My BR goal I would say has been a go :)

Well done! I was so scared to sit mine and failed first try. I stayed on my restricted for many years until I was going to loose it a couple years ago so I sucked it up and got my full ... Aced it of course hehe

I was scared too! But it was friggin easy as, i was so pleased. I had to warn the instructor that i was pregnant and would likely get emotional at the outcome hahahaha bawled my eyes out hahahahahahahahaha

Haha Shaz, that's crack up, but well done, I still remember that nightmare well.

For those on restricted, full license was a breeze in comparison. When I did my restricted the tester could have been mistaken for a real life Vernon Dursley, whereas had a lovely lady for the full test.

Oh truly? I thought my restricted was easy as haha, so by that logic a full license will be a walk in the park ;-P
