Night Routine

Hi, what is everyone’s night routine when it comes to face care? Do you always remove your make up? Do you use a night moisturiser/eye cream?

My routine has simplified itself  lately!

1: oil cleanse to take off makeup - I use The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter but also been loving Hayley Bensemann Pabda Eyes
2: hot flannel to take off the oil cleanser
3: micellar gel cleanser to get my face clean
4: Mario badescu aloe, rose water and herb spray
5: moisturiser- I use the same one day and night now, just finished Skinfood nourishing moisturiser now onto an Antipodes day cream I was given
6: eye stuff - just started using the Skinfood eye serum and I love it. Also have the origins rollerball and a tony moly one open, or I use an eye mask

Maybe  twice a week I use a heavier duty moisturiser or a sleeping mask - loving the Clinique anti pollution hydrating jelly atm

thats it... I’m not much for masks you have to wash off, if I scrub I do it in the morning, not a fan of acid peels etc, skins in good condition

My night routine is pretty simple..

1.Remove makeup (just using some makeup wipes I was given.)
2.Use an oil cleanser to remove left over make up (Natural Instinct Skin Refining Cleansing Oil )
3.Alternate days of Cleanser and Exfoliator Scrub (Essano Clear Complexion Purifying Gel and a Snake Venom Scrub can't remember the brand)
4.Tone using A'kin Mist  Toner (really enjoying this product want to repurchase )
5. Moisturise. Finishing up Trilogy Age Proof Overnight Mask.
6.Eye Cream. Linden Leaves Eye Rescue Serum

I always remove make up with either a cleanser, miceller water or an oil. Then use some sort of cream or serum to moisturize. During the weekends I do the full skincare routine, but during the week it's just remove, make up cleanse and moisturise.

Oh yes, always have to remove my make up. My night time skin care is also very simple:

1) Garnier or nivea Micellar water to remove initial make up

2) Another cleanser for double cleansing- cream or gel. I have a range depending which one i feel like
3) Facial exfoliator (2-3 times a week)- Currently using Skinfood

My current goal is to do a mask once a week, if i don’t forget. Have been quite lazy with my sheet masks.

4) Finish off either with a hydrating night time or a nice and rich moisturising cream, a facial oil/serum, or a whitening product for my sunspots/ hyperpigmentation.

Currently using Vitamin C suspension from The oridinary, as i’m trying to do something about the pigmentation im getting on my face this summer. Sunspots everywhere...

5) Actually... one more thing i have to do before bed is to hydrate my lips. I must use the Blistex lip conditioner at night before bed. Otherwise, i’ll wake up in the morning with dry or thirsty lips. I can never skip this step.

I don't tend to wear make-up too regularly. So I simply rinse my skin with warm water. At night I apply Moorish Argan Oil all over my face and neck. My skin always feels so lovely and smooth in the mornings. I shower in the mornings so 2-3 times a week that's when I exfoliate and apply sorbolene cream with a little sunscreen for day.

1. I cleanse twice with cream cleanser from oxygen skincare and sometimes use a light face scrub too.
2. Tone with garnier rose water or tea tree, depending on how my skin feels.
3. Serum-collagen from essano.
4. Night cream-Lush skin’s shangria

I also sometimes use a clay mask on days I’m breaking out a little or a sheet mask when I have dry skin days, maybe once a week or so. :)

I don’t use eye cream.

OK mine is slightly more complicated lol.

ALWAYS double cleanse to get rid of makeup, followed by acid toner, spritz, Hyaluronic Acid, spritz again, serum, eye cream (sometimes take serum or moisturiser up around eyes instead) and seal it all in with moisturiser (can be any, doesn’t need to be night cream) or oil.

I have various products that I alternate at different stages. I’ve found since doing all this I don’t really need to do masks as well. It sounds complicated but I do it in layers whilst I’m watching tv. If it’s bedtime and I don’t feel like doing all that, I will just use Sunday Riley’s Good Genes on bare, cleansed skin followed by SR Tidal cream.

Soozie Wong I am impressed!

I always cleanse in the evening, and use my beloved St Ives Apricot Kernel Exfoliating Scrub 2 times a week. Then I'll alternate between a Mario Badescu facial spray and the Mario Badescu glycolic toner. I'm currently using Biotherm eye cream and Sukin Age Proof moisturiser. I've been given some sheet masks from a Korean friend, so used one tonight as well. I also put vaseline on my lips and castor oil on my eye lashes.

1 Remove makeup (I generally wear on eyes only. lipstick gets removed when I get home) with Maybelline eye makeup remover, the blue and c!ear stuff.
2 Enter shower! Use either exfoliating St Ives apricot scrub or Tzone face wash. Depends on when I last used the scrub and if I feel the need for the scrub.
3 Exit shower! Pat dry face briefly. Apply a few drops of rosehip oil around eyes, forehead, cheeks. Apply light moisturiser to neck and anywhere else. If I have any spots that I suspect were caused by oily skin in summer I may skip or reduce amount oof rosehip oil.
4 Apply any zit cream required!

I reckon I'm going to get me some of that Mario Badescue face spray to add near the end too.

And yes I do also use an eye cream for the hell of it, after the rosehip oil. I can't see it working but I feel like I should be doing something haha

I like to cleanse, tone, moisturise usually. I'm hard out trying to empty everything thats been open for ages, so I'm finishing off a bottle of Pure Fiji coconut oil at night. I lather it on and have a towel over my pillowcase to stop oil stains on my pillow. I'd like to say my skin looks great, but life has been pretty stressfull for the past few months and my skin is showing the effects of that unfortunately.

Oh and a while ago I had to spend about nine days outside and my skin is freckly and gross from that, so for the past few days I've been applying lemon juice to my skin in the evening to fade the freckles/age spots/sun spots. Apparently it takes 6 - 8 weeks to see the results, so I'll get back to you then on whether it works or not. I hope it does.
