I went and stole some gravel for my driveway (is it stealing if you have permission?) And i did go to the market. More crafts than farmers and some shakespeare larp-ers were there and well, i came home early hahaha

5 day weekend for me! Took the extra days to get my feet back under me, transitioning between two jobs meant doing both at once for a bit so it's nice to just be lazy for a bit

I've been working all weekend. Going back soon for an overnight shift. I actually have a couple of days off this week - I'm so excited but have no idea what to do with them - except sleep :)

Bahahahahahaha 50 pies. I doubt it, but its all part of the experience! Grow with baby. Weigh yourself before hospital and then after, so much stuff comes out!! Its gross!!! Yet magical haha

If you tear, you spray it on the maternity pad and it helps to heal you faster, or it helped me anyway. Also, buy maternity pads, the hospital ones are terrible!

The kicks feel weird but lovely too!! I miss them only for the fact she wasnt a little sasshole then. Sigh

Oh maree that sounds gooood, good luck with the grass/weeds haha i need to do my gardens but i have no energy for it

A bath sounds wonderful, enjoy!

All of the sleep! Don't realize how tired I am until I get the time to just rest.

I never found maternity pads that did the job so I sent Johnson and Johnson my own design. They sent me back a packet of pads in a huge box lol but they didn't go far enough up the back. That was my point - you need a long back piece when you're in bed a lot.

I just had a thought while i was in the shower - i do all my best thinking there - i wasnt calling you fat, lisa!! I meant like.. cos youre carrying a human inside you, youre the submarine when youre in the bath... i didnt want you to take it as me calling you anything else haha i hope it wasnt offensive :/

Bahahaha maree thats wicked. I found the libra ones did the trick for me but i made sure to get up and down a lot on my midwifes orders lol

It's a lovely day up here, too, Shaz.  I've just finshed watching last night's episode of Call the Midwife (On Demand), so it's time to head out into the sunshine to brush my crazy floof rocket ... a 2-year old calico cat that runs around the garden at high speed.  The only time she sits still is when I brush her or feed her, otherwise she moves at one speed - full throttle zoom.  I don't know where she gets all that energy from!

It will be a primo day here once the cloud lifts soon. Making pumpkin soup again. Finishing off the washing and I have a friend popping around for a visit.
I am eyeing up the pancake mix lol but might wait until I am hungrier :-) Hope you all have a great day! Haha Silvene your cat sounds like my dog! Full of beans then as soon as he sees the brush he actually sits still.

Lisa, your dog and my cat sound very similar!  Please pop a pic of your dog on the photo wall.  I'll pop a pic of Lucy up there.

She's out the cat flap as soon as we unlock it in the mornings.  Catching her at 5.30pm to lock her inside for the night used to be a nightmare ... She thinks it's great fun to be chased around the garden while she runs flat out, meanwhile I'm left puffing and out of breath after 15 minutes of trying to catch her. Haha. After a few months of having her, I realised she's very food orientated, so I either call her in for another brush before feeding her, or I rattle the kitty snack packet (which doesn't always work). But thankfully, the little scamp is slowly learning there's a routine and has started coming inside on her own now that it's getting chilly in the evenings.

Bhahahaha omg I have the same issue trying to get him inside before I go to work and at night. He loves to be chased and I can't catch him lol. I also use food as he loves cheese! I will get a decent pic of him when I get back as just heading for lunch with a friend:-)

Lucy is gorgeous! Wow that's an unusual cat that doesn't respond to cat treats. I can get my grumpy old cat to do anything for those lol. He doesn't zoom much nowadays but was a real handful as a kitten. Thank goodness he's also slowed down with the hunting. Never name your cat after a serial killer!

Thank you, Soozie. Lucy will respond to cat treats during the day, but when she knows it's inside time, she chooses to have selective hearing and "not hear" the cat snack packet.

Hahaha, is your cat's name Dexter by any chance?

Speaking of Dexter, I don't know how many of you saw the post on Facebook this morning, but after eight years, there's another season of Dexter being released in fall/autum in the USA, so spring for us. I can't wait!  I loved the show and the books.

My cat too has selective hearing, but if the neighbor calls oh yes he goes running to smooch all over their legs, theyve given him a special spot on their sofa, he sleeps on their bed!! Little turd

I mowed mine too Shaz. I then spent hours treating every inch of the lawn for grass grub which is a major issue around here at the moment.

Isn't Call the Midwife great? very sad last night :(

Yes, my cat is called Dexter lol. And yes, he is named after the tv show. I also have a very good friend in the Netherlands whose cat is called Dexter Morgan. I'm not sure how I feel about a new season of the show. I loved it but the last season was so bad it kinda ruined it for me. I guess there was always the chance of him coming back after that awful finale.

I absolutely looooove Call the Midwife too! Favourite characters? Mine has to be Trixie.

So stunning here this weekend. Apart from driving around I did a bit of quick errands/ shopping, and yesterday I walked Takapuna Beach but the tide was so low that I walked right around to Hauraki on the parts that are usually underwater. Today I went to the General Collective Market for essentials (candles) and then walked Mairangi Bay round to Campbell's Bay via the stone walkway (only accessible at low tide, there are At be walkways connecting heaps of the northern beaches and they're a lovely walk!) and back.

back into it with school visits from tomorrow so nice to relax before that kicks in

That sounds awesome Trudi! I love walking and really need to do more of it as been slack lately.
I finally mowed the lawns today and went to turn the mower off and it wouldn't stop lol I was like hmmmmmm what to do. So I kicked it a few times and it finally conked out! Hahaha girls can do anything  :-)

Aww gurl! A friend of mine used to get very septic if her sons forgot mothers day. I thought that was a big drama over nothing, but now, having raised my kids alone with no support from anyone and working my fingers to the bone, I feel the same way. I absolutely hate being taken for granted, it is the one thing I totally go nato over.

Mother's Day weekend is always bittersweet for me ... My mom lost her battle with cancer 14 years ago tomorrow (8th May). Next year is going to really suck, the anniversary falls right on Mother's Day.
