Once lockdowns over, what's at the top of your beauty must-do/buy list?

I want:

- a massage
- a pedicure
- a haircut
- something luscious for my poor overwashed hands (I have hand cream but it's such a balancing act atm I want to somehow treat them)
- a Benefit brow wax

curiously there's nothing on my 'to buy' list yet, I keep myself reasonably well stocked :)

For me it would be a massage and a trim :-)
To buy list I need to get more dye and a new foundation also for some reason my heels are terribly cracked so I need something for them too.

A haircut - I'm growing into my greys-   I need to even up the ratio of coloured hair versus the new/grey hair
Lash/Brow tint and shape
Buy The Ordinary AHA/BHA Peel solution - miss it so much

Ah, the hair dye. Not gonna lie, so pleased I am 8 months in to grow-it-out or it'd be stressing me out so bad about now; I'm 3 weeks in to lockdown and would be badly needing a dye about now

A Brazilian wax ... its the only thing I can't do at home, myself.  I've tried various at-home kits, and I'd rather pay a professional.

My Acumat is a good massage substitute.  I know it's not the same, but it'll get me through lockdown. It definitely helps ease sore muscles and lower back and hip pain.

Atleast a hair trim. Brows shaped? At this stage dont need any beauty products yet.

A hair cut maybe. The salons are going to be busy judging by this thread :)

I'm actually doing alright. I have enough 'back up' products to see me though. I will at some point need a haircut, but I'm a shocker for letting my hair just grow without cutting it, so that'll last me a while yet.

This thread actually got me thinking! I don't think I've ever had any beauty treatments done ever lol. I do my own brows and nails, dye my own hair and sometimes I even trim it too! I have had my hair dyed in a salon but thats about it.....I don't think I have even had a mani or pedi. Hmmmmmm lol.

I'm doing fine for products, I have enough stuff to last me for months and months lol. But I could really do with a brow shape!!

@Lisa-Lou: a mani and pedi is great! Someone else does the work and you look great. Unless of course you dont like people touching your feet,  the pedi could be a different story lol.

I would love to try the foot treatment where fish get rid of your dry skin and a foot massage not that its going to happen lol.

I tend to do my own personal beauty stuff like colouring my hair, tinting lashes etc anywhere I can save on money, have done it for years makes it easier on the budget.

A day at a spa would be a nice treat, one day maybe :-)

Probably buy more of my essential KVD lash liner since I'm runing out. I discovered it last year and it's a staple for tightlining my lash line. Also waiting for specials on my fave concealer and I'm on the hunt for a good pressed setting powder that's talc free.

As far as skincare and body care items I'm pretty good for now.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but most post-lockdown beauty plans are going to have to wait until we're in Alert Levels 1 or 2.  I've posted a snippet on the Photo Wall from an email that I got on Saturday, from business.govt.nz, with regards to salon services for anyone who's interested in reading it.

I did see that, a couple more weeks or months won't hurt. I haven't had a cut for a very long time. Possibly a year. I actually can't remember it's been too long.

yup well aware of that based on what they've said about level 3 (which is info we didn't have when i started the thread) but thank you for the link if anyone hadn't realised.

I have to stay at Level 4 regardless because Level 3 involves too much movement and danger for me still, so the massage and pedi i'm hanging out for will have to wait a few months i think.

I gave my hair a trim and it looks good. I have long hair to the bottom of my back and it's layered so you couldn't really tell if I mucked it up anyway lol.

I only posted this on the forum and the Photo Wall to help keep everyone updated, not everyone gets the business update emails that I do.  It wasn't to point fingers at anyone on BR.

What triggered me to post it was that I had to go grocery shopping on Friday morning.  On my way home I saw that a lady in my neighbourhood, that does waxing and tinting from an at-home salon, had put her signboard outside on the pavement.  She only ever puts the signboard out on days that she's open and working.  My brain was like, "WTF? Is she seriously taking bookings already?"  Hopefully she's just being optimistic and is doing a bit of free advertising with everyone walking around at the moment, and that she's not actually taking bookings or planning to work on the sly during Level 3.

Whilst being on lock down I have cut my own hair,  sourced some brow timely. From a pharmacy and shaped and tinted my own lashes and brows and spent way too much money at Mecca.

after lock down I'm gonna need my hair dresser to fix up my cut and get it coloured. And get someone to fix my brows and re tint hahaha woops

I found a red hair dye that had been in my stash for awhile. Been putting off using it because it's not a colour I would usually have but I was like what the heck, if it looks bad it doesn't matter because nobody will see me.

Turns out I like the colour ha ha ha.
