I just tried it and I think it probably will be better as a curler when I grow my hair out, but it works great as a straightener!

Hey guys,

Yes we had to swap all Day Creams to the Eye Creams - but your points for the Day Cream were refunded, and the Eye Cream was included for free.

We emailed everyone on Monday (or so we thought!) just letting them know this had happened - emails might land in your spam folder though.

Mine just arrived! Yay! I had a swap too. I ordered the L'Oreal magic retouch (spray) but was sent the wand in dark blonde rather than the blonde. Hopefully it works well and I will love it! Fingers crossed. Also hoping it's not too dark. Will soon see. Can't wait to try everything. Thanks so much BR team. xx

I'm didn't get an email about the swap, but just saw the points back in my account, I'm not angry at all, just really don't use eye creams, but might give it a try anyway or force my man to start looking after himself  too! :D

Yes I had the swap too didn't receive the email nor points but not to worry. I purchased the day cream today for half price, it's on special at New World. I added the oil to a different moisturiser and my make-up sat beautifully really impressed don't know why I haven't tried it sooner.

I just applied the press on nails I got in the vault, then saw the removal instructions, which specify a removal liquid by the same brand.

can I use normal nail polish remover to loosen the nails so I can remove them when I want to, or do I need a special one?

Hey AboutFace,

Hmm, looks like our packer was in the groove and forgot to add you to my Refund List!  Sorry about that.  I'll refund those points now!

Actually don't worry.

I folded laundry, made the bed and put the rubbish out, and three nails came off. So I figured the adhesive was shit, and applied a very small bit of pressure to the nails and now they're all off. Shortest wearing of press on nails in history, probably.....

@trudijoy, if the press-on nails were applied with a liquid nail glue (cyanoacrylate), any brand of nail polish remover containing acetone will dissolve the glue bonds. It has to contain acetone though, acetone-free polish remover won't work.

Length of wear with press-on nails will all depend on the amount of glue applied.  A small pin head sized dot of glue will only last around 3 days. A bigger dot of glue and spreading the glue over the entire nail plate will mean better adhesion and longer wear time.

They weren't glue ones silvene just the wee gel adhesive pads. And they're off now, but thank you

@trudijoy, sorry.  I know nothing about glue tabs.  I personally just feel that they would useless, so I've never used them or looked into them. I prefer using a liquid brush-on nail glue for embellishments, tips, etc.

That sux Trudi! I've not worn press on nails since my teenage years and remember they would just fall off.  But you'd think they would have improved them in some way.

Eh, they were in the vault and I was curious so I tried them, no harm done

Don't  think I'll keep the rest though.

You could probably reuse them, although I'd recommend getting a bottle of brush-on nail glue (from Farmers, Countdown, wherever, it's available all over in beauty departments / aisles).  Keep it in the fridge, if you do get a bottle, it stops it from going hard.

Thanks Silvene.  I'm not that worried, really. Kinda one and done with the set, i think .

i cut my nails short to try the artificial ones, so short and glittery natural nails will be me this week

Thanks for being so understanding AboutFace!

I'll have to snap a pic of little Rita tomorrow - she's bigger, but still looks tiny compared to big fluffy Mavis! xx

Goodies received, thanks BR, appreciated! Pic will be on wall later today.

Hey Trudi, I've had those nails a couple of times over the past couple of years. I would have said you don't need to worry about removal because they always fall off. The only tip I have picked up while using them is applying a good amount of pressure per nail application. I did a solid 10 seconds.  This extended wear time by a couple of days. From memory,  the max amount of wear time was 7 days. I also noticed that one set (can't remember if its the blue one or the rasta coloured one) lasts longer than the other. I used these as occasion wear and any extra days they stayed on as a bonus.

I won't try again tabu but I wondered if I needed to press them harder. They did feel very..... tight? So I didn't want to do any damage and might have been too gentle

Fair enough, if I had have paid for it I would have been disappointed. Seeing as I didn't it doesn't bother me.

Oh gosh thank you First Lady! I am actually not too bothered about being refunded. I can't even imagine what a logistical nightmare it must be getting everything out perfectly. I'm just so very excited and so grateful to be receiving all these wonderful goodies. I guess some you love and some you may not, but that's what makes it so great. I am trying some products that I might not otherwise try. Will have to get reviewing again soon too. Thanks again. BR team you are an outstanding group of people! xx
