Oh! do they work well on mature skin do you know?

Erm, I believe my skin falls into that category actually lol. I would've thought they are even better for mature skin than younger skin, considering what their purpose is.

And don't forget the SPF! I'm a huge fan of the Mecca Cosmetica one and now apply sunscreen deligently since discovering it.

I’ve been doing peels Maree . Ageing is still happening, unless someone has a super serum I haven’t heard of yet. Skin is clearer after a week but age lines still present.

Ive been contemplating botox For the last two months.

Koni your list sounds really good and I agree with Maree a bit daunting so interesting to see the feedback

With the Peeling Solution, only leave it on for 5-6 minutes the first time and only do a thin layer.  More is not more in this case and the Peeling Solution can dry your skin out if you over use it.

I suggest using a fragrance free occlusive such as Hydro Boost Gel Cream (Countdown are selling it for $20 a the moment) afterwards to help lock in the moisture and stop it from leaving the skin.

Other than that, it's not a scary product at all.

The Lactic Acid is lovely too but I have halted all my acid use at the moment due to some skin allergy I seem to have developed to something.

Haha no sorry Macs, peels won't get rid of those lines altogether! I find it does lessen them though and it's also great on old acne scars or bumps under the skin. It takes awhile to work on those though.

I second using the hydro boost after the peel to bring moisture back into the skin. I've now also found that using the Mario Badescu Aloe & Cucumber spray also helps calm the skin down before putting on a moisturiser (and the spray is also fantastic to calm the skin after dermaplanning!)

Macs - have you tried applying your moisturiser when you skin is still wet?  This has made a huge difference to me so it might help you.

There are several other things you can try such as a Lactic Acid exfoliator to help remove dead skin and soften it.

Retin A (prescription only) helps the skin normalise and turns over cells slightly faster but it takes a long, long time to see any effects and it is highly irritating so you'll need to research how to incorporate it.  I don't think Dr's will prescribe it if you say you want it for anti-aging though but if you say it's for acne, no problem.

Try the two step oil cleansing method.  First use an oil like Simple's Hydrating Oil Cleanser and follow up with a gentle foaming face wash to remove the oil.

Look into Hyaluronic Acid products such as those offered from Hada Labo or The Ordinary.  Hydro Boost contains Sodium Hyaluronate which is a derivative of HA that might help keep the skin moisturised and plump.

My order arrived today. 10 days delivered so I am stoked with that. Will leave the peel until the weekend in case anything reacts but will try the moisturiser and oil tonight. Yay!

Question time lol what do I use to apply the peel with? Like a cotton pad or my fingers?
SooziesWorld

I just use my fingers to apply a really thin layer.

Excellent thanks Soozie! I was hoping you would magically appear lol. I have applied the hylauronic acid, marula oil and HA moisturiser tonight and wow my skin is like a babies bum! I have high hopes.

Good combo! My skin is feeling the effects of a change in the weather so I have been using a combo of Hado Labo HA lotions and marula oil.

I used the 5% lactic acid last night, didn't get any tingles at all so probably could have gone with the 10%. Today my skin is glorious! I can't get over the softness and plumpness. Loving it!

I have been using this range everyday for 2 weeks now.
Morning I use Hylauronic acid and HA moisturiser
Night I use lactic acid every 3 nights, hylauronic acid, marula oil and HA moisturiser.

I have dry skin and it gets quite bad on my cheeks and nose, after 2 weeks my skin is plump, no dry patches in sight and I can't get over how soft it is. If you have skin issues and feel like you've tried everything I really recommend trying this range. I have just done another order for back ups and to try the buffet. Seriously impressed.

That sounds great Lisa Lou - I might have to try these products. I think I spotted your shopping list further back in the thread! My skin is dull and I really suffer with dry skin in winter!

MissDilly my skin is super dry in winter too so this will be a great test for it. There are quite a few products for dull skin also which I want to try.

I finally tried the peeling solution this evening and ouch it stings like a female dog! I left it on for only 5 mins and to be honest couldn't wait to remove it. Hoping it doesn't cause a huge breakout. Going to do a mud mask soon then a nice cooling sheet mask.

I think that's normal Maree perhaps by reviews I've read. My skin feels lovely, no irritation or redness at all so I'm happy :-) Maybe next time it may sting less lol.

Lisa, it should sting less the more you use it. I still find it unpleasant to use (and I use acid toners daily) and I have to use a sheet mask afterwards to cool things down. I won't be buying it again as I much prefer RENs glycol lactic mask. That still tingles but is a lot nicer to use - which it should be at about eight times the price!

That is good to know Soozie. I did a mud mask then hydrating sheet mask and my skin feels wonderful. Will see how it feels next time :-)
