How's everyone going? It's pretty cold this winter. My best investment has been some knee high fluffy slippers - bliss!! What have you all been doing to warm your hearts through June?

It is cold so I'm wearing bed socks and my girls have an Oodie each to keep them warm. We have a Bichon mix puppy, he's a wee ball of mischief and likes going for walks and when it's frosty brrr we both wear our coats lol.

It certainly is getting chilly, 3 nights a week I work till 9pm so I am really noticing the chill. As a bonus my car has heated seats of all things, that is a real treat. We have a heat pump which has been keeping us nice and cosy, as well as lovely winter clothes.

We have had some really cold days here. Ugg boots, beanie, hot water bottle, wheat bag lol. Heated seats are so nice Kim my car has them too lol I never thought I would use that feature.

I can certainly relate to the hotties and bedsocks. And I have two duvets on my bed. The heated car seats sound very yummy Kim! Its so hard to get up, get going, and keep going at the moment.

My husband and I had a virus last weekend. It was the worst. Haven't been sick in a couple years but was not expecting that kind of virus. Doing better now though, residual tiredness. Not how we thought we would spend our anniversary haha.

I hope everyone is feeling better. The bugs going round are unbelievable - I think we have had at least one kid home every day this entire term. I feel lucky to have the flexibility to work at home, I don't know what I would do if I had to rely on sick leave. Its so tough for people at the moment

It's pretty shocking around here too Millyw. It very much effects my job because I struggle to get input from other agencies because so many people are off work all the time. The outlook isn't good according to the modellers either. Please keep well everyone.

Yes I saw the headlines today. Not the best news.

Glad we got a couple more weeks at home before going back to office. Especially with weather and illness and all.

Something that drives me mad in winter is how my hair gets alot of static. I really hate that feeling! I havent changed products at all, and wondered if anyone else has the same issue, and might have any advice?! Thank you :-)

@Millyw, my hair gets horribly static in winter. It doesn't help that it's really fine. At my last hair appointment it went static in the hairdresser's chair while she was brushing it pre-trim.  She told me to get a leave-in conditioner and to just apply a tiny amount to the mid-lengths and ends and to leave it on.

The only leave-in conditioner I could find was for kids, but it does the trick. I've used it a few times when my hair has gone static and it smoothes it out straight away and stops the static.

Oh thank you! I think there is some leave-in conditioner around here somewhere, I will find it and give that a go. Thank you so much, it is such a pain isnt it!!

I was sad to see Ivana Trump has passed. She was an icon of beauty in my day.

Miserable day here today. Ventured out again to do some shopping and once again hardly anyone around which is awesome.  Hope everyone is keeping toasty!
