Has anyone tried Colour Wow yet?

I'm wondering if any of you lovely ladies have tried this product yet http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/beauty/hair/9762166/This-hair-product-will-change-your-life ? I sometimes use a hair crayon in between colours, but it's not the greatest, given the texture it leaves and it's quite rough on the hair to apply. This powder looks way better, both in terms of application and lasting power, but given the price of $50, I'd be interested to hear reviews before I buy.
I havnt used it myself, but My mum likes it. I got her to come with me and i used the tester on her to see if it would work, and it kind of did. I mean it looks like a eyebrow powder Kit with the brush etc, and i found when i was using it on her you needed to spend a bit of time applying it. She said that it felt more natural (well it is a powder mum lol) than the 1000 Hours crayons i got her. But yeah, it abviously worked for her and alot of my customers as we sold out in a week. I would suggest going into farmers and trying before you buy. if your worried about 'hygiene' from others using the tester, ask for the brush to be cleaned for you :) xx
It comes in 6 shades so probably covers the bases for most traditional hair colours at least. I have copied and posted the Stuff review here:You've gotta love scientists.Sure, some of them are out there immersed in research on eco-friendly fuels or finding a solution to the super-bug
threat, but others of them are tirelessly devoting their brains to serious beauty problems - namely, how to hide grown-out roots. Colour Wow, a mineral powder for hair, is the latest invention in a long line of products that have addressed this particular, widespread and annoying problem. (Hair crayons and sprays have had a crack at it, but they look waxy and unrealistic, and even worse, can wash out in the rain.)The genius of Colour Wow, which was three years in the making, lies in its molecule makeup. Its tiny two-sided zinc particles have a positive charge at one end, which attaches to the negative charge of the hair. The other end of the particle holds its mineral pigments. Explains Joseph Cincotta, Colour Wow's head of research and development: "The zinc builds a molecular bridge between the hair strand and the pigments to camouflage the roots."The best news? That bond can only be broken by lathering with shampoo - plain old rainwater or sweat won't budge it.The powder comes in six shades and all have a mix of opaque and reflective pigments, for the most natural look. Wait, that's not the best news. The actual best news is that Colour Wow, which won a 2013 Allure magazine Beauty Breakthrough award as well as countless others, is coming to Farmers from 23rd March and will roll out to pharmacies and salons from April. At $49.95, it costs way less than a colour appointment at a salon (especially considering it will last for around 60 applications). Expect to see your hairdresser less often...

I was using Tween Time crayon on my roots, but I found it made me hair look greasy. A friend told me about Wow Colour root cover up which I bought at Farmers and I LOVE it. It blends in with my hair and it actually looks shiny instead of oily. Because my hair grows so fast I was going to the hairdresser to get my roots touched up just about every 10 days which gets really expensive. With this product I can wait longer between touch ups and that's probably a lot healthier than putting hair dye on my roots every 10 days. I have dark brown hair and I bought the Dark brown one and it matches perfectly.
I received a sample recently of Colour Wow which rea;;y is a revolutionary mineral powder for covering our regrowth and greys in between visits to the salon.
It is truly an amazing product. Their slogan “the next hand held device to change your life” is absolutely true for a woman with grey roots or dark blonde regrowth!
There have been many products over the years that have tried to solve this problem for women but none of them really looked realistic, colorwow is now the exception.
While mum was visiting I decided to try Colour Wow on her grey/brunette roots in her hair part and around the face to see how it looked. We were both very impressed with how easily it covered her regrowth and grey hair so seamlessly whilst remaining natural looking. Each compact has 60 applications in it and only needs to be reapplied after each shampoo; it won’t even come out if you are caught in the rain or after a sweaty session at the gym. We both absolutely love this product and it will remain a beauty must for years to come
Colour Wow is available at selected Farmer Stores nationwide for $49.90 which is alot less than visiting your hairdresser for a new colour. Available in six shades and all have a mix of opaque and reflective pigments, for the most natural look.

I got selected for the trial team as well.... but yesterday while having nothing better to do, I walked around in Farmers like a snail, literally smelling every candle, picking everything up, etc.
And then I came across this again and this time they had testers of every shade! So I could have a good look and feel of the product. I didnt apply it though (and I wouldnt either) but yeah, it was so cool to actually get a perception of it other than a photo.
I don't know if it'll last 60 applications though.... It's a bit small? Sorry!
***And BR, I'm so happy I did take blonde instead of platinum.... The platinum wouldve been too light!
