Sea Salt Sprays

Hey ladies!  I have naturally very curly/frizzy hair prone to breakage and very fine.  I always blow dry it straight when I wash it and then usually either wear it straight or put big waves in it with my straightener.  I'm looking for a quick "wave" fix for during the weekends so I don't have to use so much heat, so thought a sea salt spray may be a good option?
My issue is that when I spray products containing water into my hair as a finishing styling product it tends to go frizzy.  Is there any one else out there with this problem who could suggest a sea salt spray that doesn't do this or that maybe smooths as well?  I've never used a sea salt spray so any advice is appreciated!!  x x
P.S: I'm a strict Kerastase fan and use all their products, so I need a product that is also beneficial to the hair so I don't undo all the great work Kerastase has done to my locks!

If you have a natural curl already then instead of using a sea salt which other than making your hair shiny and a slight improvement to curls, use a curl enhancing cream.  If you have ringlets when your hair is damp, buy Schwarkopf Curl Creme from Countdown and when hair is damp scrunch a couple of pumps into your hair and let it dry naturally, give it a finger curl over it once dry and voila curls that last all day.   You could then toss your hair upside and spritz with sea salt or hairspray to prolong the look and keep it from dropping, especially if you have longer than shoulder length hair as curls make the hair heavy and it tends to drop and get frizzy if not set.   Hope that helps, from another naturally curly, frizzy girl

Unfortunately, my hair is naturally stick straight and fine but I did receive a sample of Holistic Hair's Sea Spray Natural Curl Support in a beauty box subscription and used it to try and give my hair a bit more body.  I can't say how it works on curly hair but maybe there's someone else on the Forum with curly hair who has tried this product and can tell you if it's worth purchasing?

I haven't tried sea salt spray before. I'll be watching this thread.

The major problem I find with sea salt spray is it can leave your hair crispy which it is set, and when the product starts to weaken it goes frizzy.

I recall seeing on pinterest a really simple way to make your own by mixing a liquid hairspray with ground sea salt =)

I love Lush Sea Salt Spray and have used it for years for tousled waves.  I usually apply it then oil my hands and finger comb my hair to break solid bits and soften the sea salt crunchies.  I'm also trying out the schwarzkopf one atm but prefer the Lush one.  it's all about experimenting :)

I have the Fudge Sea Salt spray and I like it... my hair is almost opposite of yours though... fine & very straight.  Sorry not really able to help xx

I also use the Lush sea salt spray and I have long hair. I love the smell more than the effect. It does make my hair feel like I been in the sea swimming. It kinda feels thick and rough and crusty, but it really does a great job of giving a tousled look. It is fabulous for disguising dirty hair.

I like the lush one too, but am not too keen on the scent actually! Have seen heaps of  beauty bloggers going on about the newly formulated Bumble and Bumble sea salt spray, it apparently has argan oil or something in it so it adds a bit of condition to your hair rather than drying it out like some salt sprays can. Definately keen to try it out when and if it hits our shores.

Oh well that bumble one sounds delish! I have a nearly full bottle of the Lush sea salt spray in my drawers as I too don't like the smell of it and it dries my hair out to feel crunchy, love the effect it can give though so if there is a moisturising one out there I'll have to give it ago.

I always imagine sea salt spray would leave your hair looking dry and tacky -I like my hair to be shiny and feel clean .Am i wrong ?

I have fine hair but lots of it, its on the light wavy side if I do nothing with it (just let it air dry) so i'm quite interested in trying a sea salt spray seeing how it would work in my hair.  Lots of products end up looking heavy in my hair partly because of the colour aswell.
