From what I've read creams and lotions and potions don't help much if at all. But excercising and watching your diet will. That's one of the main reason I workout and avoid/limit certain foods in my diet. But if someone has found out about a miracle cellulite cream I would like to know. I haven't had much of a problem with it so far but who knows, it can come with age.
Avon acutally has a cream that reduces the apperence of cellulite. I personally Havent used it, but I know people who have and they love it. You rub it into the problem areas 2 times a day and it helps to tighten the skin which reduces the apperence of the cellulite. "=12px75% of women agreed that it makes your skin feel more toned, giving you the freedom to reveal more of it. "
To get rid of mine after I had my son, I work out 5 times a week and eat a reasonably healthy deit. Also if your not drinking enough water that can impact how noticable the cellulite is.
Hope you find something that works for you :)

Dry body brushing, its fab! I use a body brush and rub in circles along the cellulite spots on the back and upper thighs before taking a bath or shower twice a week, I do rub until red and then after the shower I simply pop on some bio oil over the areas. I don't have any cellulite at all now and have been doing this as regular for the last 5 years and it still works
Interesting thread (I searched 'cellulite' on here and found this..). I have had cellulite since forever, even when I was underweight while overseas, and the Dr told me I needed to urgently put weight on; I stil had cellulite on my thighs. Unfair huh? And I was on a healthy diet of fruit, veg etc. It's mostly genetic and to do with your hormonal make up - which is why blokes don't tend to get it.
But the reason I searched this is I seem to have had quite a drastic reduction in it recently. I've lost 11 kilos over the last few months, not on prupose, just stress etc I think (long story), but I know from past experience that doesn't usually make a difference in my cellulite. And I wasn't over the BMI before, but am now just down the lower end instead, so I can't see it making a big difference anyway.
So I'm wondering if it's the fact that I gave up coffee to try and help me sleep better, and instead drink herbal teas all day, or the bit of cider vinegar I've been having in my morning herb tea (supposed to help the skin, and it has reduced the odd pimple I used to get around my chin area)?
I have also been using the loofah we got in the last Goodiebox, but only for a couple of weeks, but maybe that has helped already?
T'is a mystery. But I kind of want to know, so i can keep up whatever is working!

What you said about quitting coffee -- coffee can increase cortisol levels, and as you mentioned hormones play a big part in the appearance of cellulite.
It makes me sad that cellulite is such a big deal when it's estimated that something like 90% of women have it! In other words it's "normal". I just try not to look at mine now, haha :D

I agree, it's ridiculous what a big deal is made of it, when it's genetics and hormones.......stuff largely beyond our control. The funny thing is mine seems to be drastically reducing at a time when I really don't give a stuff. It's kinda funny. But also rather interesting.
My partner said a long time ago, early in our relationship, that he really doesn't care about it, and that guys really don't notice that stuff anywhere near as much as we do. I do think it's true that women are their own harshest crticis. Tired old cliche, but often true.
But yes, you're probably right about the coffee (and giving it up was one of the hardest things I ever did....oh how I loved my espresso machine....). It has helped a lot with my sleep and stress levels, and I don;t get the mid-avo slump like I used to. and stopping it has seemingly helped the old cellulite too.

Coffee is actually great for cellulite. The trick is to stop drinking it and rub the grounds into your thighs instead (maybe mix with coconut oil for ease of application). Dry brushing is great as well. And fake tan always helps.
There is a lot more going on with my legs, I NEVER wear shorts anymore. Even in the height of summer. The maxi skirt/dress was my lifesaver and the final nail in the coffin for shorts. I had varicose veins and spider veins even pre-children as a size 8 on top of being extremely thigh (and knee) heavy. I truly look awful in shorts and short skirts so cellulite doesn't bother me in the slightest at all anymore.

Coffee is a really good way of getting rid od cellulite. And I don't mean by drinking it. You can ground some coffee beans and massage them onto your body. It will help minimise the appearance. There is also a brand new NZ company that sells specially made scrubs targetted at getting rid of cellulite. It's called selfiescrub. check them out online! Relatively cheap product too!
I finally checked out selfiescrub and it looks really good, thanks heaps for telling me about it, I'll definitely be ordering some (it's quite a reasonable price, and NZ made to boot which is great).
I had six treatments on my thighs. I was told at the consultation that I would have excellent results. Unfortunately, I did not see any change. I am not sure if any of the pictures that they advertised are the same people. I exercised and drank an increase in water as suggested but it was a disappointment.
This is the wonder of life, not all of us are created in a cookie cutter fashion and what works for someone may not have the same results for you. Personally I don't see the big deal with cellulite, it is there on 90% of ladies legs so why try to fight it, dry brushing and leading a healthy eating will decrease the look, as will hydration and exercise but genetics will always have the upper hand so if you are destinted for a dimpled derriere and thighs then you will get them, embrace it. Dimples are cute right? =)
