So I just bought some brand new boots on the weekend, cost me over $200, and they have given me blisters!! I think they are too small and I don't think I was fitted properly which really sucks. Anyway was limping around uni in the today and now have huge blisters. Do any of you have any tips for what I can do to get rid of the pain/treat them?
Thanks xo

Oh noooooo that sucks!!!!!!!!! I don't have any tips on hw to deal with the blisters - aside from maybe wearing plasters and applying Paw Paw ointment? You could try to stretch the boots out a bit? I did the freezing method with a pair of shoes that were hurting and it worked a treat. There are various ways on how to stretch your shoes here if you're interested :)
Sorry, I don't have any tips but I feel your pain. Sometimes I decide to wear shoes that are a little bit too pretty and tall to uni and then after walking around campus for ages I regret it 100%... and then I have to drive home and my feet just hurt - I cringe every time I have to push down on the clutch! The things we do to look good... ;)
I don't really know about treating them but those scholl pad thingys are great for shoes like that! I have some cheap $2 padded insoles inside all my rediculous heeled boots lol, they help a fair bit. Also I buy a size up if the toes are a pointed design.
Elena chuck a pair of flats or sneakers in your car just for driving in :)

I can't remember what they are called or the name of it but I remember seeing ads for it ages ago when I would regularly watch TV. They were these clear sort of plasters for blisters to help them heal faster. Sorry I don't remember more details but you could go to your local pharmacy and try and give a description and see if they have something like that. Another thing I used to do as prevention was wear a band-aid wear it would rub in the back and that would prevent back of the shoe or strap part rubbing my skin raw and making it blister.
The best blister plasters I've ever used are called Compeed. They have different sizes for different areas of the feet and they adhere very well. Even if you have a blister already they act as a covet and allow the blister to heal underneath. Just make sure the area around the blister is glean and dry prior to applying it and will stay on for as long as you need. Sold in pharmacies.
There's a sample of compeed here. But I guess they will be better by the time it arrives! They are really good though, so worth purchasing. Mr Minute also do stretching if they are a little small.
Thanks for the sample link!
I also wore new boots last week. I tried them on at home and they were sooo comfy that I decided to walk to town and back in them (about half an hour each way). Anyway I regretted that by the time I got up town and then still had to walk home.
I have no idea how to stretch boots but I do reccommend just wearing new shoes for 10 minutes at a time around home until your feet get used to them. I just thought my boots felt so amazing that I wouldn't get blisters!!

I would go back to the store and get them to refund or replace. In the first instance if they did a fitting and you purchased based on their advice then they need to take some responsibility for the purchase not being the right size (if the size is an issue). Consumer guarantees states they should be fit for purpose, ie fit you as well as not cause you any harm.
Leather can be steamed to get it to relax and then reshape to the foot/leg. A few years ago I bought some boots in Wellington and they steamed them to get the leather to relax enough so they would fit my larger calves. It worked a treat as well.
If they were my boots I would but a thick pair of socks on to provide some cushioning. The other thing you can do to assist the stretching of the leather is to put two pairs of socks on (if you can) and walk around home in them until the warmth helps the leather to stretch out more.

Elena I used to leave another pair of shoes in the car so that I could wear flatties when I drove. More comfortable and safe for driving and a relief when your feet are sore.
