I am on my feet for about 7 hours of my 8 our shifts (5 days a week). And my feet are looking not so good. They are dry and rough. The skin is dead and i just cant seem to get rid of it. I was wondering if anyone had anything that was good for your feet. In need of some help and tlc towards my feet. Hehe.

start using a heel cream, soak your feet in hot water to soften up your dead dry skin and rasp it off (get these from chemist, farmers, wharehouse etc..) and once a week apply coat your feet in mouisteriser and put a cotton sock on for about an hour. within a few weeks or so your feet should look better. but you have to keep it up once a week.

Have you tried using a foot scrubing cream?
Avon has a fantastic product called triple smoothing scrub which helps to remove all the dead dry skin and leave the skin feeling really soft and new.
Also pumice stone is great, soak your feet for a while until the skin in nice and soft and then use the pumice to massage all the dead skin off, and then just moisterize.

I tried the other night a fantastic dead skin remover for feet, its been talked about on here also, so its 1/4 cup listerine, 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 water, Soak feet for 10mins (I was longer got distracted lol) and then use a pumice to get all the dead skin off, you'll be amazed how well it works.  I actaully used more water as I used my foot spa but next time I'm going to get a foot bowl just to fit my feet,  my feet felt so soft afterwards it was amazing.  I don't get alot of dry skin on my feet so was amazecd how much dead skin came off, it was like it was snowing from my feet lol

My feet are terrible at the moment.
Is the listerene, the mouthwash? Does it have to be that brand or will colgate do? I think I need to give this a go but I hate the taste of listerene so use colgate instead.

Have never tried the listerine and vinegar mix, sounds good. But agree with pumice, it acts as a good exfoliator for dead skin. Just soak your feet in warm water, or for more frequent use just use it while in the shower

Hiya Rezee, Its supposed to be the blue listerine, I used the purple one but my cousin used the green colgate and she said it was great also, so don't think it matters too much there pretty much the same ingredients lol

Pumice pumice pumice!!!

I have incredibly thick skin on my feet because I live in bare feet and rarely wear shoes out. If I don't oumice and they start to peel they get disgraceful and embarassing,

Normally I pick up a few rocks of it when I visit Taupo. If you know anyone passing through you could ask them to get some for you.
Thanks for these tips as well ladies.  My heels and sides of my big toes need some love.

After reading your posts I took to my terrible feet a few weeks ago to try and correct their sorry state. After dedicated daily soaking, buffing, moisturising, covering and elevating, I am amazed at how good they look now. Thanks for your advice everyone.

I used to have really dry and rough feet but I found that using a pumice in the shower at night gets rid of all the rough skin, I did that daily and I saw a marked difference within a week and within two it had improved more. Then applying a bit of Weleda Skinfood to my heels at night or if I don't have a foot cream, a bit of handcream. Not the best but better than nothing.

The main thing I have found is that it is super important to soak your feet (well!) to soften the skin before trying to 'file' it off. I find a metal foot file most effective to remove the skin and then I use a finer file to make it smooth.

Also you really have to keep up a regualr routine, thats so importnant, try to fit it in once a week!

Oh and a good foot cream of course! I actually like using the Cetaphil lotion for really dry skin. :)
